I am heavily invested here, I know the energy consultancy industry inside out having worked in it in the UK and specifically across Europe. I have not worked for UTW but do know many staff and leaders of the industry from other companies. EnergyExpert chose the wrong board.
You never know who you are talking to on these boards, it might be an anonymous investor disgruntled by the share price or someone who has direct ties to the company and is interested to hear what is being said. Sometimes people foolishly put themselves in the position of adopting an online persona, so that they can then denigrate the prospects or actual financial standing of a company for financial reasons or for their own emotional gratification, negative or positive. If they truely work for the company then I'd imagine that they unnecessarily put themselves in a vulnerable position in terms of job security just to vent spleen online. Similarly if they don't then they are telling lies. It's a weird equation which often is only resolved by public exposure of said individuals and why would you **** off a standing investment? So EnergyExpert do you work in Newcastle or Redditch?
************* are as big a shag heap as PTV. Tom Winnifrith's strike rate is as pitifully bad as the state of his teeth and I feel as bad for shareholders here as I do for those who subscribe to 'the sherriff'. Calling yourself the sherriff of AIM is as pathetic as calling yourself 'the guv'nor'.
I think that fair warning of the performance of this share over the last 18 months for new investors is nothing to hget irritated by. PTV has performed like an absolute dog. You cannot argue with this. Read the rns. The performance here has been pathetic.
Ha! I forgot about that nugget of genius!
So you thought that you would go online and tell everybody at what point you have set automatic sells at, just so that you could outsmart one of the greatest investors that this country has produced? Everyday I come to these boards and every day someone posts something that is even more astonishingly mental. You're not Tom Winnifrith are you?
Are you trying to get the same post on every board in the market within 10 minutes or has your cat jumped onto your keyboard?
Just over 300,000 against 19,000,000? It doesn't really hit the average massively does it? I would say that he's just plain increasing his holding against an unjustified drop, because that is what he has done.
No, I don't think that you are deramping at all. It's refreshing to have a board with, as of yet, no nutters and a balanced discussion taking place. Good luck to you too.
The only thing that is alarming here is the fact that so many white knights are appearing to warn us all of the impending doom that UTW share price faces. This company is one of the true success stories of AIM (dividends on AIM!!) and whilst yesterdays RNS has obviously caused a sell off, I can not see anything that has changed within the fundamental story of the company, apart from an increase in the number of staff aiming to bring in future business. One criticism might that the company should stick to the concept of under promise, over deliver, but I am sure that Mr.Woodford will be thinking very carefully about this. So positives are: Dividend payer Mr.Woodford is a heavy holder Expanding staff count should equal an expanding revenue return Multiple revenue streams What looks like a short term depressed share price Now let's look at what Mr.Buffet has said, 'be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful'. if you had done as much due diligence as possible and still believed that the story here was convincing, then would you be buying on the way down or selling? Personally I would see this as a buying opportunity as I don't see the business contracting or the fundamentals changing particularly, but each to their own.
Hi Roland. I'm not upset at all bud. I do however wish that I had more money free to stick in here! Good luck going forwards!
I've been here for ages and I agree, this is a keeper for me. Also one more point - the spread is generally excellent as well. Love it.
I must be missing something here so please someone correct me: Aim company that is increasing profits year on year That makes sensible acquisitions to strengthen it's position within it's market That has family members as share holders at the the top of the tree That has developed its own in house technology (Edd:e - electricity usage smart metering system) that is already proven and active within the market it works in and making money. How many AIM listed companies have spent years and years fannying around developing systems that they are testing with potential clients and still not turned a profit and dilute you to hell etc etc etc? Utilitywise seem to have seen the need, built the tech and got it to market working just fine and this is just one revenue stream!! They pay a dividend, yes that's right a dividend on AIM! And finally Neil Woodford has been vigourously increasing his stake for months, which now stands around a whopping 24%. Quite why there is not more attention here is beyond me, so let me sum up: I think that this company is massively undervalued It has been put under Neil Woodfords forensic due diligence and he keeps buying more of it It makes profits and increases them It pays dividends It owns and develops it's own metering tech It has patents in the US and Europe for it's tech. For the time being I'll keep scratching my head and as ever DYOR, imo etc.
Another top up from Mr.Woodford, absolutely excellent news.

Actually he's held a position in CYAN for quite some time, although I think that the percentage held (not the share volume) has changed down, hence the notification RNS of a percentage change from what I think was 5.37 % to 4.12%.
Peter Lobbenberg also has a significant position in CYAN.
