It would be good if they could release some guidance on estimated profit etc to calm the seas a little.
Dead dog hmmm!!. This is a good company paying over an 8% dividend. I wish more companies were as dead as this :)
Lol aspers I see you making positive comments on every board
I feel sorry for those that jumped aboard last week when she bounced from the initial low. I still think we will see 60p before she starts to recover if indeed she recovers at all. Maybe seeing a Director buy would help but I guess Mr Woodford realises this is a dead dog.
they're repaying the money over a number of years, but even if they didn't they have the finance available so not sure where this talk of the business being a going concern or not has come from
Yep, I guess its the only thing long term holders can do. My guess is that if Woodford is still invested up to the hilt on this, he may well have pushed for the board changes and accounting changes. Now that all the bad news is out of the way, UTW's financial position is more transparent albeit with a possible hit to published revenue and profit. Lets just hope the business model is still a going concern.
It's AIM aren't they all gangsters??!! Took this as great opportunity to top up, the share price drop after the news was overkill
seems to be some delay in showing buys, confirmed 40k shares but can't see them?
believe so as it was already agreed how to move forward in terms of the contract terms before Europe took off
I was pondering the recent news and wondered if the European operations of UTW would be more insulated against this type of problem as the market is newer and mistakes are hopefully less likely to have been made. As Europe contributes about 25 per cent towards the UTW customer base and has a much larger potential and it grew by 32 per cent last year, then I am hoping any rapid growth there, can offset some of these losses. If so , todays price might be a bargain (Or might not )
woody's stock-picking has seemed pretty p***-poor for a while. his stance presumably is that he's into long-term investments, lol.
At the end of the day the business fixed the problem a while back and has confirmed there will be no more material charges. Good business is good sense which is why I'm in. The scare mongers are going to get squeezed tomorrow!
Liberum Capital reaffirms its Buy rating target 206p (previously 228p), finnCap reaffirms its Corporate rating target 150p (previously 222p). The share drop is understandable given the news but this should now be fully reflected in the current price, if not overdone. Either way the brokers still see a substantial upside to this, especially if consumption levels increase. Just for info.
Gotta keep beating down the dopey shorters perky!
79.5p to buy now...i do hope none of you new 'investors' are feeling the squeeze? The newbie lunatics are on the march here now so i'll leave you all to it.... Don't forget to look at the charts along the way, a lot of bad news is already priced in. GLA
Do you just think this is the new ceo sorting out all of the crap, or are these guys just gansters?
Its going to be difficult to put a value on this company with what has been announced. Their revenue has been so overstated who knows what profit they are making. Also how many other energy suppliers have they dont the same thing to!
you guys are pro i'll give you that
Hopefully not too many got mugged today thinking that this is a bargain. I see more downside than up at the moment and expect 60p before 80p I am affraid.
Ticking up nicely.... 78 to buy buy buy now!
There are so many more unscrupulous financial practices to come out about this company. This is only the start. Sell now whilst there is still a small bit of value left in it.
Ok EnergyExpert... sell away then! :)
This could take the company under and the sellback revenue hasn't even been accounted for yet. Alot more to pay back too.
So much for the golden touch of Woodford. As the biggest share holder you'd think he'd have seen this coming.
