Chairman, Patrick Doherty, has now spent c. £202,000 on acquiring shares in the company since 22 March 2024! Now if that doesn't show confidence in Unicorn I don't know what does.
Announcement that Chairman now owns through his company 16.3% with further buying. Now a wise and successful Irish businessman does not invest as much as he has in the past few weeks unless he sees a nice gain in the year ahead.
Follow the leader!
So we have had the TR1 announcement that the Chairman has purchased a further £22,500 worth of shares this time at 10p. That added to the £97.5K worth bought earlier this month. So a total of £120K worth now. Not loose change!
Jason Brewer has advised the Board on a number of possible acquisitions and no doubt due diligence is being carried out on one or more. It is just a matter of time before one is agreed to be bought.
Mcap currently £3.6m. Don't forget that the company already has a zinc asset in Ireland with real potential based on their drilling results so far and with other companies' resources nearby which have been already proved to have good prospects of being economic to produce. So this is not a cash shell. It already has value.
Add to that a further zinc resource in Namibia or an East African country and the mcap will undoubtedly increase.
I have been increasing my holding gradually for months now and at the current mcap and with the Chairman investing a very decent amount, this is a no-brainer imho for investment and a potential bagger.
See my earlier post for one of the potential acquisitions Namibia Lead and Zinc.
Chairman has acquired 100k shares now for £97.5k over the past 10 days. A signal to the market that a transformational acquisition is on its way.
Mcap still only £3.2m.
Zinc is currently the fourth most widely consumed metal in the world after iron, aluminium, and copper. It has strong anticorrosive properties and bonds well with other metals. Consequently, about one-half of the zinc that is produced is used in zinc galvanizing, which is the process of adding thin layers of zinc to iron or steel to prevent rusting.
The next leading use of zinc is as an alloy; the zinc is combined with copper (to form brass) and with other metals to form materials that are used in automobiles, electrical components, and household fixtures. A third significant use of zinc is in the production of zinc oxide (the most important zinc chemical by production volume), which is used in rubber manufacturing and as a protective skin ointment.
The price of zinc has been rising fast this year.
Namib Lead and Zinc looks to be an ideal acquisition for Unicorn, as it would produce the same mineral - zinc - that the company already has a resource for in Ireland. One thing the company needs is revenue from a second or even third resource to provide funds for financing their Irish operation, which could prove valuable based on the results from the work that they have already carried out there and the excellent results from nearby projects.
Namib Lead and Zinc has a full mining licence, 2 exploration permits and the necessary environmental permits. It also has 56 potential targets for mineral deposits discovered from a survey carried out in 2022.
It has been under care and maintenance since 2022.
In summary, Namib Lead Zinc Mine is a low-cost, high-grade, fully permitted, construction production ready project with near-mine Resource expansion upside. It is located 30 km from the town of Swakopmund and 75km from the port of Walvis Bay with fully established infrastructure to re-start mining operations.
Historic production of narrow zones from 1968 to 1991 has transitioned to modern bulk mining and a newly constructed processing and flotation plant. Production after restart in 2019 achieved levels up to 19,000 ore tonnes per month and 2,000 tonnes of contained metal per month.
This is the sort of near revenue producing asset which is the type that Jason Brewer looks for.
Unicorn's current mcap is just £3.22m and a low free-float with the Chairman and Board having a decent level of shares in the company.
Ska, another Jason Brewer co, just had some great news after hours. Wonder if neo or umr is next for some good news.

Really good couple of days for the SP. Two large buys from yesterday reported after hours today at £22.5k and £23.28k and some other good size trades at £10k and over. Wonder whether there has been some further director buying? Whether or not, it’s good to see these size buys. Mcap still under £4m; so I expect to see some further increase in the SP to come pre any announcement of an acquisition.
As is fellow Rick, Marcus.
However, don’t need them to push the SP up, the new acquisition will easily do that.
For anyone not wise to this, Janet2007 is a paid ramper. Look at it's posting history.
The chances of it being a genuine poster called "Janet" are low.
Rick123 have a look at GILD next multi-bagger worth a look too
Yes rick123 see this being a strong blue week for UMR

Can’t see a thread of your conversation with him. Please do tell.
See my post yesterday below.
Not sharing the inside information you have?
I have spoken to Jason Brewer and am aware of what is 'brewing' at Unicorn.
So Peter what is brewing then?
The Board have skin in the game. So important for investors.
Could QGC, financier and much more for Marula, get involved?
Janet thanks for this tip
Good day buys strong today should open strong tomorrow too
Buys outstripping sells massively today should break past 10.00+ tomorrow
Strong buying pressure today can we rally at close
UMR board was met yesterday discussing buying a mining company in distress in Europe and strategic planning for the business....multi-bagger opportunity and great time to buy
2024 is going to be big for this company
Just bought a few more, expecting great strides forward this year. Room for growth with a 2.8 million M/C I think!
Made a small investment here to complete my Jason Brewer Quartet! Great prospects here over the next few years, plenty of backing coming up I suspect.
Junior sector starting to wake up.
JB's contacts should be able to help them secure some further assets over in Africa expanding the portfolio for shareholders and adding value and he has a strong track record as a deal maker.
It should also help with the media & PR side of things
Good to see deals like this bagging the SP as the value is added and market can see the potential ahead.
IMC did exactly the same
Next deal of this nature in the junior space is due to land over at CHF where it appears a UAE based fund Juniper International FZ LLC with a particular focus on mining and renewable energy is about to come onboard as a cornerstone investor.
Market cap over there is a mere £591k so a deal of the type we have seen here today to inject cash and place a new focused direction in mining in the renewable space would see the market cap leap 500%+ to bring it in line with Unicorn.
Expecting a big 2024 for both companies as from these micro valuations, today demonstrates just how rapid the SP appreciation can be.
Won't be surprised to see both UMR and CHF both follow IMC and 10 x bag from their year lows.

jason saying grow umr to 20, 30 or 40p/share. seems to me that the no. of near-production assets identified in east and south africa (by *****on & jason) are probably too numerous for maru and ska to take, as portfolio projects, and that's why imo they need a third vehicle like umr, with the advantage of a main market listing (not aim).

Bought a few more. At 8p in the knowledge that the Board are looking at some resources that Jason Brewer has sourced for them, the mcap of just £2.65m is just too low imho.
It's nice to hear from myself lol.
Great to see the director's buy announced this morning. Now that doesn't happen without a reason!
I added this morning early doors. With the mcap at the current level, this is a no-brainer to buy.
Jason Brewer will be on a Stockbox interview today, publication either today or tomorrow, updating on acquisition advice to the Board of Unicorn. With mcap of under £3m this company is under the radar still. What a great opportunity to buy imho and I topped up this morning.
Jason Brewer met with the Board in Dublin today. He has presented three possible acquisitions I understand one of which is preferred and is aimed to be completed.
Due diligence can take time of course. It will be interesting to see what resource emerges.
With mcap at its current low level, it seems a no-brainer to me to buy more now. I’ll be looking down the back of the sofa.
Jason Brewer tweeted this morning that discussions were held on a number of matters in Jo'burg yesterday including regarding Unicorn. New asset incoming next month?
I'm invested and ready. Are you?
