December sounds good will dig me hazmat suit out
That interview was pivotal to me.
He has commercial foresight to indicate going alone. Great for any JV negs.
Ore results are good, and getting better. Fast track whilst window is open.
The day BBG announces tentative steps to produce DSO, the global price ups by 5.2%.
Hold tight, lots of busses arriving.
Turbo where is the AGM likely to be held london ? If I am not working and something terrible hasnt happened with UFO sp I am keen to go
Great points on that interview, anyone that wants to deramp or bash UFO just direct them to that interview. End of story. Looking forward to the weeks , months and years ahead!
Hi everyone
Late post tonight, I listened to the interview several times and took some good pointers from it.
Thought it was interesting that he kind of made a point that the assay drill results we had had so fate were really from the poor areas of DSO with the better areas still to come so that was very shows it’s only going to get better.
I have always said a JV is the way but after reading what Fernix are doing it seems very viable, you only have to do a deal upfront and your away if you can also agree an upfront payment your outlay is greatly reduced which again I think is what Fernix did so yes great opportunity.
EH I liked s the platinum and palladium comments and wanting to get back out there with possible drill available.
Lots to look forward to, I’m expecting Donovan 2 drill news soon since Capstone started at the beginning of February. Would also be good to know where we are with the Mexico paper work.
Then we still have the Brockman DSO to drill.
The next 9 months will see this company change. Who’s up for the December AGM could be a great time to get together.

I think it will be mid June before we get the results and D2 will sneak in first , a combo of the delays and also them wanting to put the info together before realising, he also mention maybe wanting to try some more holes based on the data as its the prime season to do so.
Exciting to think we might not be so far away from UFO earning 200mill a year profit from DSO , I mean that's multiples in market cap per year vs current Mcap . It should shoot up
Thanks Max - looks like the idea's begun crystallising quite recently. Glad my initial research wasn't overlooking something so significant !
I always had a feeling that UFO will become a small producer of the DSO and JV the lower grades based on what Bill said in the webinar last December regarding mining ourselves:
“We will make sure are reviewing and looking at all the options to us that will give the maximum return to our investors.”
From December last year, iron ore started going above $130. Mining ourselves became very economically compelling.
Even if iron ore is selling for around $100/tonne, we could potentially still make more profit on it than any silver miner can make on mining silver (at current silver price).
At $200/tonne, then the profit margin is just incredible.
Then Bill started dropping more hints in other interviews.
But as Islandgirl said, it was always depended on the assay results.
Then they tweeted this about Fenix:
https://twitter.com/AlienMetals/status/1370312443805757440
Then recently there was the Proactive Investors Article mentioning cashflow coming in from DSO:
https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/948491/alien-metals-set-to-drill-into-australian-silver-and-iron-ore-projects-imminently-948491.html
Then in the Interim Drill results RNS it stated:
"The Company identifies the DSO grade beds a priority".
IMO they want to cash in on the high price of DSO Iron Ore ASAP.
This will fundamentally transform the company and will be the fastest route to Mid-Tier.
Yeah Bill has mentioned it before but I think the realisation that it is now a distinct possibility has increased as the assays come in.
For the benefit of anyone that didn't spend 10 minutes listening to Bill on Vox Markets while washing up this evening (just me ?) here's a few quotes that stood out. For context, there didn't appear to be any negatives in his wording. Bill was his usual cautious self - clearly mindful of what he was saying, recognising it's on the record:
Setting the UFO scene, he said:
"Elizabeth Hill . . . more copper potential, but there's also now nickel, and significantly platinum group elements, platinum, palladium. So, we're very excited and working hard now exploring and adding value to these projects".
The initial Hamersley results:
"We tried to fast-track that . . . managed to get that achieved in quite difficult field conditions ; cyclone season, pretty hot. But the team did fantastically. However, with the huge amount of work going on in the region, the laboratories are just SO overrun. We still are waiting for over 50% of the results, however we felt it was important to update the market . . . so the initial results are extremely encouraging.". Then talked about Hole 6 in particular (over 20m at 60% content) and "several other significant thicknesses of Banded Iron Formation".
He then added "Frustratingly, the majority of the results we're waiting for are from what we feel would be the more exciting geological holes in that programme.". he also explained that they've "managed to do initial drilling on the Sirius extension . . . which again has what we believe will be significant DSO material. Those results we await also".
And finally in reference to working in Western Australia:
"With this surface DSO so close in access to infrastructure - road or rail - there's always the opportunity that going forward if we can identify sufficient material that passes muster, we can start doing what some of our peers like Fenix and Strike Resources are doing and become a small producer."
Have they ever floated the idea of being a small iron ore producer before, and I just overlooked it ? it certainly sounds like that's an avenue they're exploring given the immediacy of infrastructure.
Just listened to the podcast and thought Bill came across very well and lots of positives to look forward too. Onwards and upwards
well a little excitement in the daily SP , but let us remember how often it can and has jumped up on modest volume only to dip again.
As and when news with hard data arrives we'll be able to assess what sort of "new" SP seem reasonable. Until then we're trading on sentiment, although there's nothing unusual about that on AIM, and with much news delayed and due asap then sentiment will presumably grow until that hard data is released to either support that sentiment, or bring folks back down to earth with a bump.
I was just going to say its about to smash through 1.2
1.20p to sell. NT to buy. Market likes it!!! :)))
He is getting better at interviews and he sounds excited and very positive
