True wents, knowing when to sell is tough if too emotionally invested and more than one way to skin a cat, risk taking is 100 percent required in life to get ahead. I play the long game usually but when it comes to trading it is more about TA and timing entry and exit points, won't dispute that chap as I love charting too and intuition is part of investing :-)
Sincerely hoping UFO proves to be another which gives many here life changing gains and help in escaping the rat race no matter how we approach it :-))
Yes good for you Dip666 and i mean that , but as they say there is more than one way to skin a cat (its a saying) i love all animals.
Privatisations started me off BT/GAS / ELEC etc etc i knew nothing about any and did not care, but they were all money spinners at the time, then the dot com bubble in 2000, took my chance on a company called Affinity Internet holdings, knew nothing about that , but put my money where my mouth was and made x amount, been playing the maret ever since, what i have learnt is you do not have to have a indepth knowledge of any company to make money , just have the nerve and timing to buy and sell, i have seen so many AIM investors who have been in a profit situation and just dont know when to sell and have lost the lot.
Wents, enabling yourself with knowledge means you can adopt a more calculated risk approach - it pays off as I would have lost the chance to have made life changing gains on GGP if I had not educated myself enough to realise how indicative the early results were of the potential for a huge discovery and then held through all the drama of 2020.
A life long love of learning has enabled me to gain financial freedom at a young age so you keep being you Archie Karas - I'll continue to try and derisk my investments by applying due diligence and research :-)
Is Bill going to deliver a value adding RNS?
He's been saying lots going on , progress here, progress there, news due any minute and nothing has changed for months. Apart from placing and drop in share price. Honestly, before x-mas, he was like news due any day. We're almost in May and nothing. How long before the next raise? Time to walk the walk.
Good post Wolfy81, thats my problem on here so many claim to be experts and have in depth knowledge of mining etc etc and if you dont have knowledge, you should sell up and leave, what a load of nonsense, everybody is just guessing like the rest of us and as i have said before we all have one common goal to make money , its simple.
Just to remind the so called experts, the majority of you have a car, but do you know how the engine works, no ,but has long as it gets you from A to B you dont care, here endeth todays lesson.
Yes i am invested, i am a risk taker, who is willing to lose the lot and not moan, i no very little about mining and i buy and sell these ocassionally, by the way have not heard from my mate Naptham today.
No problem Dip - all debate and conversation no issue here
Anything below the .9 is a top up now. .87 would be nice as the bargain price compensates in any further delays in producing assay results. GLA especially newbies
Bill is sincere and does not behave like a politician full of bull.
Next set of new investors should be welcomed with positivity.
If in doubt stay out and move on. Quietly . Welcome to UFO
at One. The journey up will be fun.
Wasn't meant as a dig Wolfy - just that the more I learn the better I've been able to withstand big swings or time my entry and exits and being able to understand more on the geological side is proving beneficial too in assessing other stocks or new exploration targets on my existing stocks.
I don't put much weight into acting on potential clues in RNS's or interviews either and just treat it as one of the more fun aspects of investing. Nothing wrong with anyone posting no matter their knowledge base as a fresh perspective offers something that can be overlooked of course, apologies if my post was a bit curt :-)
Bill seems like a decent CEO along with the benefit of his geological background and industry experience, a lot of these CEO's who started as Geo's seem to be poor at the PR and public speaking part but I do think he has far more strengths in his favour and this can be seen from the portfolio of projects we have.
I do agree in a way Smiller, but a few hundred thousand $ is a big thing for an exploration company at our stage - could fund early stage drilling programs on one or two projects. Ultimately the g/t is more important as it’s what we’re looking for, but the nuggets - if they are sizeable - are a huge bonus IMO
EWT , I've previously said that the nugget isn't so relevant , i know its unlikely to be found in isolation but its more of a good PR situation than the money asset , as we interest in long term high grade area with high g/T not one single nugget
One thing to bear in mind, if there are areas of Elizabeth Hill with 25,000g/t silver that we are able to extract, the margin on that would allow us to dig up 500 additional tonnes find absolutely zero silver and still be considered a high grade silver mine on average (50g/t). Anyone who is also saying things like big silver nuggets are irrelevant, if we were to find another similar in size (165kg) - that is 5,304 troy ounces - that would in monetary terms be worth $132,600 at currently low prices - not sure if the size of the nugget has any further significance in its worth, but who really knows how many more are in there! ;)
Just a question - Its quite amazing the projects they have all stunning - how did bill do it?

As for the risk/swings I was in when was over 3p and am still here at 1p - Im all good thanks
Thanks Dip - I do not claim to be an expert in the mining field I just do my own research and take a view on it. These boards are for sharing information/views. I’m just going in conversation. I’m open to other people’s opinions. As for coming across negative - I’m not. To me I read we expected results late feb and still nothing. To me this isn’t a positive it’s a negative and Bills presenting and explanations or hints what ever your want to call them to me stink. I’m not here to play give us a clue with Max and others. I’m here to make money.
I'm always curious as to why so many place importance upon whether a trade was a "buy" or a "sell" ... ultimately every trade has to be both for any transaction to occur even if there is a middle man involved to ease proceedings and ensure there are always buyers and sellers.
Wolfy, you might find hints comical, but the secret to successful investing is to find clues.
I guess you want an RNS about the future RNS!
The company will update the market when they are ready. GL
*With regards to selling, a lot of the buys show as sell since they are below the mid of the bid-ask spread.
FYI:
The London Stock Exchange doesn’t disclose whether the trades are buys or sells. Sites like this use the timestamp attached to each trade and compare it with the bid-ask spread at the time of trade.
If the price at the time of trade is nearer the bid, it show as a sell.
Wolfy - just a bit of advice would be that perhaps you spend less time posting on chat boards and more on reading up on exploration and mining and you can then assess the projects inc. Hammersley from a more educated viewpoint.
From a more educated mindset you may then favour staying invested or still not see potential and can act accordingly as suits your risk appetite and timescales.
TBH as you say you are still in porfit so perhaps just sell as you do sound very negative, aligned with your lower level of understanding of the sector it would make sense for you to step away and reconsider investing in explorers. It is high risk high gain sector and very stressful as you often see 50% retraces a few times during the journey to production/divestment.
Here here Max. Bill couldn't be making it more obvious. He's said all this 'while he's working up results'. He knows, and dare i say so does his NED. ;-)
Thanks Max - I have been and will continue to be patient. But getting excited about a picture of a rig in the middle of nowhere and staying that’s his fav picture is comical. What did that’s tell us? Il post some links to similar on google images if that what’s excited you. And large words like ‘significant’ don’t mean nothing I’m afraid. We will disagree I’m sure how we all interpret the information etc that’s fine.
Wolfy, you missed what Bill said in the webinar regarding Hamersley:
“We currently have a diverse portfolio in two main jurisdictions with main commodities being silver, copper, and Iron Ore SIGNIFICANTLY.”
“Very exciting high-grade Direct Shipping Ore projects in the Pilbara”
“On Hanc ock we have done surface sampling. Significant results have been received from that work.
More recently we have just completed a maiden drilling programme and we are now working up the results, the geology, the analysis, the assays, putting all that together. Very excited with what’s been done and looking forward to updating the market.”
“Here is one of my FAVOURITE shots recently of the drilling at the Hanc ock project.” :)
“We do cost effective but efficient exploration to add value and interest to other parties to join us to take the projects forward.”
Bill can't tell you the results until it's RNS'd. He couldn't make it any clearer for me.
Relax and wait for the company to update the market.
Turbo - we had a presentation yesterday. Anyone would think we had a negative rns.
