Already over 1,000 metres with only a few weeks of drilling left. Best bit is, it’s showing same signs as Kobolds world class find next door…Time to start getting excited.
‘The target of this drillhole is the ore-shale which hosts the copper mineralisation at the Konkola-Lubambe copper mines and the nearby Mingomba deposit. KoBold has reported that a number of expected key marker horizons have been intersected in the hole that are consistently seen in the stratigraphy above the ore-shale in these deposits.’
That’s impressive, 1023m downhole already, clearly I was being too conservative with the drilling rate! That’s almost 30m a day. Very encouraging news they see the same markers as further east where the known mineralisation is. Could get interesting real quick!
This is a pivotal period for the company and reminds me of the time GGP first made its discovery a Havieron
Yes, it's encouraging to see from the RNS that the known marker horizons are present and similar to KoBold's huge (& nearby) Mingomba project. As you say, 2p a share is more than possible here initially on a KoBo JV drill success. However, if these licences do prove to have copper - and we are just weeks away from finding out with Konkola West - you are looking at more like 6-8p a share and maybe even 10p+ for a takeover based on all the licences in Zambia, Nevada and Sweden. i.e. The multi-bag potential on good drill news with KoBold could be huge and very similar to what happened at GGP. We know how that panned out: Those that invested in GGP in the 0.55 days saw a x 65 increase in their holding to over 35p a share. TYM's share price is certainly on the launch pad and today the company has provided yet more evidence to the astute investor of the massive potential of the Konkola West Copper Project. Big money could be about to be made here.
Well that has made my mind up on where to top up today.
HEX profits will be put to good use in here!!
Sounds too deep to me. Suppose they find copper ore at 1200m down. An “underground only” mine that deep would be very rare indeed. Just think of the cost to establish a resource, let alone mine it. Doesn’t mean you can’t get decent SP movement in the meantime, of course
They expected it to be deep so it’s not a surprise. Konkola deep is almost a mile underground and that is in the planning to be developed.
We’re in partnership with KoBold, and they are loaded 😃
Yeah but Konkola has been running for 60 years and they’re just extending deeper. It’s not really the same. Anyway, am not here to argue, I have no stake either way - just an opinion and I will now leave you guys to it. GLA
Thanks for the opinion, I’m sure KoBold will take that into consideration 👍
Metalled, we’ll never mine it anyway. If the news is good - and we’re only a few weeks away - we’ll be taken over for between £50m - £100m by a major. Yes that’s 2-4p. Fingers crossed!
Just topped up 2k worth
Couldn't agree more. I was in GG when ut went from .054 to eventually plus 24p.. But that was a joint venture, which would be better for us than a takeover
Exactly and Sanderson Capital has been adding for the last 2 years and currently holds 7.36% in TYM. Smart move ....
Good luck, Brighty
Exactly a x 10+ here over the next few months is more than possible based on a positive update regarding the KoBold JV drilling programme in Zambia. That excludes positive news from other JV's. e.g. Something on that front might be brewing in the USA and another JV in Zambia, judging by the recent RNS plus and don't forget Sweden. Before the Storuman project was put on ice in Sweden the TYM share price was over 2p a share. Tym has 2.3 million tonnes of mineable fluorspar. That's not factored in at all here....
Good luck, Brighty
As a reminder, or for those who don't know, Konkola isn' the only news we are waiting on....
The new Joint Venture agreement with Zambian partner Mwashia Resources for three of the licenses, Mukai, Mushima North and Jacks Project. Once the ownership of the three licenses has been transferred into the 'newco' then they can activate the shareholder agreement and could potentially be in a position to proceed with any JV's with other companies on those licenses. At the moment the three licenses are 'pending transfer' in the Cadastre website (but bear in mind that this may not be up to date yet). Tertiary has previously stated in an RNS that they have had interest in several of these licenses "from major mining companies". All three licenses have drill targets defined, including Mukai, where the anomaly extends into FQM's Trident area. In my view the whole reason for this re-jigging of the license ownership is because they expect to execute a JV on at least one of these three licenses once the 'newco' has ownership of them.
Totally agree. Having to be fortunately holding GG for many years before the JV. I seriously advise anyone who is interested in this company to buy and hold.
Then just be prepared to wait. Its actually better than GG, because of their other ventures.
Well they couldn’t have signposted what’s coming much better. You’re not telling me that this isn’t just a holding RNS while excitement builds.
What’s better is the MM’s who chalked it up … did their usual ‘flush the weak’ so I just had to sell something else to buy some at 12.3 …. You are having an absolute ‘giraffe’ … all this for 12.3 … boots filling time.
Now what other s**** have I got in ISA’s to grab a few more, before it sets off up again ??
Agreed, very good news. And lots of games to be expected if Kobold decide to takeover.
