Hi,
TYMs other licences in Zambia r now ripe for a JV too...
Exactly Torino. That would equate to a x 50 gain. "Transformational" is probably an under-statement if this pans out.
It's worth reading the FT article (5th February 2024) about KoBold's Mingomba Project.
* The FT reports that KoBold now believe that the Mingomba Project will become one of the world's top three highgrade copper mines.
* This is very pertinent for TYM as the Mingomba Project is located approximately 2km northeast of its Konkola West Project. This is the KoBold / TYM JV project, where KoBold has committed to drilling at least two deep drill holes (for a total of at least 2,000m of drilling) commencing this month.
Not long to wait, as you say....
Good luck, Brighty
If we get similar results to Kobolds other mine, they are buying us out. Even £100m would be cheap for them and the best thing is, we havnt got long to find out.
Trying not to get ahead of myself but if we can replicate some of the ultra deep hits Kobold made at Mingomba in 2020 (19m @ 4.57% Cu/173ppm Co & 11.4m @ 3.86% Cu/149ppm Co) towards the end of summer, we are going to go vertical.
Have held here since 2017 and whilst critical of lack of progress, dud projects and all time low share price, have added though on these lows from time to time, as the copper looked promising, with the belief that at last, something tangible could, or rather would arise. Time could be now here and added again at 0.07 last week and glad i did. Hopefully at last, this leads somewhere, been long enough..
This is a very interesting small MCAP business, similar to GGP. We know how that panned out: Those that invested in GGP in the 0.55 days saw a x 65 increase in their holding to over 35p a share. This could be just as big!
0.8 seems to be bargain share
Another tick up.
The few sellers will soon disappear when they see that this is going up fast. Then it will go up even faster!
"The Konkola West Project is targeting deep down-dip and along-strike extensions of the contiguous Lubambe-Mingomba-Konkola copper deposits to the east of the Licence and which extend north into the Musoshi mining complex in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Together these deposits comprise a 15 kilometres long continuous zone of mineralisation that contained a pre-mining endowment of over 775 million tonnes grading 2-3% copper. Konkola West is located approximately 2,000 metres southwest of the Mingomba deposit, which lies between the Konkola and Lubambe mines, and currently has a resource of 250 million tons at 3.8% copper."
0.10p paid - make that 0.1032p. I think that around 0.16p/0.17p would be a good target pre-spud, which is where the share price was on the day the earn-in was announced. It could go higher though.
Then, of course, if the high-grade copper is there in abundance, where it should be, then the sky really is the limit. The m/cap is still only £2.5M - trifling - and in this scenario 1p or even 2p would easily be possible. 250M/tons of copper at 3.8% right next door!!
Tick up..
Whilst all eyes are on TYM's very encouraging JV prospects in Zambia it is also worth flagging up that before the Storuman project was put on ice in 2019 by the Swedish Mining Inspectorate the TYM share price was over 2p a share. Now that the Mining Inspectorate’s decision has been annulled - see the two RNS' from September 2023 - we could hear more news on TYM's Stourman Fluorspar Project. It contains 27.7 million tonnes of fluorspar, which is the main salt used in lithium-ion batteries. This is not factored in at all here....
Good luck, Brighty
Exciting times here. TYM has got to be one of the biggest under the radar opportunities on AIM currently. In addition to its KoBold JV, on 16th October last year, the company also confirmed it was subject to further "unsolicited joint venture interest from major companies". i.e. Code for more than one JV on the table. What we do know, so far, from recent RNS' and briefings is as follows:
* All five projects are now at a stage where drilling priorities can be developed. One of these, Konkola West, Exploration Licence 27067-HQ-LEL, is now about to be drilled by KoBold this month via its joint venture with TYM. The results could be utterly transformational for a company with a Mcap of just £2 Million.
* Other projects have been subject to "unsolicited joint venture interest from MAJOR companies" (see 16th October RNS).
* Nearly US$10 billion of investment into new copper mine development in Zambia has been announced in recent times as a direct result of the Hitchilema government's more mining-friendly policies. This is generating a high level of interest in copper exploration in Zambia and TYM is well placed to benefit from this.
See the recent company briefings for full background but it does look as though at least one more JV is being discussed currently with a "major" company. This also excludes any good news from Sweden regarding its Fluorspar asset....
Good luck, Brighty
Yes, I don't think that many investors have made the connection yet as to why KoBold want to drill TYM's license. The ore shale that hosts Mingomba (and Konkola) is part of a massive mineralised system which goes all the way to DRC, it dips in the direction of Konkola West license area, hence why they want to test for a deep extension to that same system.
Because KoBold use AI modelling to predict where is the best place to drill I would think they have a pretty good reason behind wanting to test that location, it's not just drill and hope.
Exactly and whilst we are getting very close indeed to transformational share price JV news with KoBold, it's worth noting that the Swedish Mining Inspectorate was instructed to re-examine its decision last year. This could also be very big news for TYM, as you quite rightly infer, in relation to our Storuman Fluorspar project:
* On 6th September 2023 TYM confirmed that the Mining Inspectorate’s 2019 decision not to grant the exploitation concession application had been annulled.
* Our Storuman Fluorspar project contains Mineral Resources of approx 27.7 million tonnes of Fluorspar.
* "The Storuman Project once underpinned a much higher market capitalisation for the Company and whilst there is no immediate intention to allocate significant resources from other projects, the re-emergence of the Storuman Project as a potential value catalyst is timely as fluorine, sourced from fluorspar, is a component in the most common electrolyte used in lithium-ion batteries today and the use of fluorine-ion batteries is under active development." - TYM RNS 6th and 7th September 2023.

Good luck, Brighty
You don’t get many better opportunities than this, won’t even have to wait that long until results. Potentially life changing gains if this comes off, and it’s got a VERY good chance of coming off with Kobold taking the lead.
Appreciate the comments Seisnav. Interesting video too - surprised to see little old us getting a mention!
It says that some of their drill holes are as deep as 1800m to 2000m. The earn-in with Tertiary is for a minimum of 2000m over 2 holes so I would assume that if they hit copper at depth they will continue drilling until it runs out. That could be 2 very big holes. Imagine what that would do to the share price and m/cap.
In fact, a tick-up is imminent, if not overdue, to 0.085p/0.095p as both the bid and ask are higher than the current prices.
And a very good mention.
The share price is starting to move in the right direction. 0.09p paid and I am getting quoted 0.935p to buy for 1M and 0.945p for 5M.
Here's a video from KoBold if you haven't already seen it:

The JV with TYM gets a mention.
From KoBold's own numbers, they started with one rig in Feb 2023 and by August they had expanded to 6 rigs. By December they had drilled a total of 33,600 m. You can do your own estimates but I think a month is probably optimistic.
Yes that’s around my thoughts too.
Joined the party. Exciting exploration play in that high-grade territory.
Any ideas on how long the drilling will take? Does 50m/day on diamond drilling so potentially a month per drill?
