Hi Tom
I was in hospital 5 years ago for an arterial bypass (95% chance of success) which could last 10 Years. They had to fix gangrene first though (50% chance of success), caused by lack of circulation.
Hope you are well, and I feel fine now, BoL
Nige - Quite correct and a nice Buffetology approach. I would avoid Persimmon though. They could get an enormous fine and get their cash pile mullered
Hi Bamps
Seems to be working again now.
The way to compare Divis is by % Yield pa, which is Total Divis / Sp * 100.
If Yield is 10% then you get back £10 for every £100 invested. If Yield is 5% you get back £5 for every £100. Then:
rio 232.78 / 4233 * 100 = 5.5%
bdev 46.48 / 646 * 100 = 7.2%
tw 17.44 / 166 * 100 = 10.5%
psn 235 / 2120 * 100 = 11.1%
Yield are listed here in Fundamentals, also
http://upcomingdividends.co.uk/
Divis paid 0 to 4 times a year (tw 3). In order to be able to compare them at any time I assume missing Divis are the same as previous year. Don't know what further Divis due from Rio. Divis usually announced when FinRes / IntRes published.
Your own Yield is Tot Divis / your av price * 100, on XDivDt.
My system Calcs all these things (Excel and VBasic) automatically, and I often quote directly from it rather than calc at the time (so could be wrong at times!)

No I haven't, his last post was Fri 02:44 and he hasn't posted on PSN or any others. He might have gone away for weekend. Not much happening here really. Im hoping for a rise to 180p soon so I can sell a few that I have used my HSBC trading reserve to buy. If they dont get past 175p then ill hold them all and take the Dividend.
Hi johnson

Have you heard from Nige he's not posting hope he's ok
ATB:))
Hi Bamps
The April special and final dividends were for 2018 and the September dividends were the 1st parts for 2019. So as I said they paid £4.16 for 2018. So far for 2019 they have paid £1.73, we need to wait to see what the final divisend will be. By the way I sold my last Rio at just over 20 quid 3 years ago. Lol
Technology for you "LOL"
Hi Tom
On the mobile so no good pasting
I'm having to wait after posting then new message page comes up, I then scroll back and the message is there so post again and it goes
It's the Bt advert yuk I don't like them
Bamps hi try this.
When posting, copy your text prior to hitting the post button. If it just disappears just paste the text and re-post straight away. I've just done that and it seems to work consistently ..

Tom :-)
Hi Tom
Yes I having trouble on the mobile, pressing the "post message "button makes the page disappear
It's something to do with the adverts loading
Well that one did, must be problems with the other board.
Lets hope we see a good week ahead. :-)))
Morning all,
Is anyone experiencing trouble with posts not going through first time ???????? Tried on another board and posts will not go through, just a query !
Cheers
Tom :-)
Hi Johnson
My account shows they paid in April a final/special of £3.1951 and in September £1.7314
Dividenddata site shows the same
It was the best payer this year I could find
I did say I was no good at maths :))
But it does show how undervalued Tw are
ATB:))
Hi Bamps21
I think you are a little out on the Rio dividend figures.
For 2018 they paid £4.16 ($5.50), made up of interim 20/09/18 $1.27 (96.82p), special 18/04/19 $2.43 (183.55p) and a final of $1.80 (135.96p) on the same day as special.
Total £4.16 for 2018.
For 2019 they have paid an increased interim of $1.51 (123.32p) and a much reduced special of 61 cents (49.82p) on 19th September. Total so far for 2019 £1.73. The final for 2019 will be paid next April (2018 final was 135.96p)
