Just been discussing with a new starter at work who wants to invest a small sum each month.I advised this share as i believe its solid going forward.
Some nice consolidation around £2.35 hopefully prior to next move north.
ah yes £17m i see it but UC as Urraca says. Strange that LSE shows some other large amounts as sells but ADVFN shows them as buys. I ve been watching tesco like a hawk all day, the price shot up after close so presume those buy/ sells were buys. UC separate to that as always
That was the uncrossing trade
16.35, 17 million buy
cant see it on there, do you mean 1.7?
17m buy after the bell
think Ex Div date of normal Divi is 21st May........ unless i am mistaken, payment on 3rd July i have read
Ok, ta, probably they`ll decide against with the current situation anyway
I don't believe it has been confirmed as yet.....hopefully later this year.
I work next door to a huge Booker in Hatfield and trust me,lorries are in and out 24/7.
As for the company, hats off to Dave Lewis. He has taken some tough, unpopular decisions.I for one would not of been disappointed if he stayed another 5 years.
Hard to call this either way but your comment about Booker is perceptive. Four points - Booker can't be doing so well at the moment due to customer closures. Tesco seem to be coming out on top in terms of adjusting to present conditions when compared to competitors. No need for bogof's etc., at this point, although those would have been funded in the main by suppliers. If one likens Tesco to Amazon's situation, Amazon's sales were up significantly of course, but their profit margins are down as a result of extra costs.
In my view, Tesco is an exceptionally well-run business these days.
When is special dividend ex dividend date plz?
I have faith in the executive management of TSCO, I am sure the special dividend payment will take place...but at an appropriate time when such negative sentiments and any bad PR will be very much limited.
It seems the CEO of TSCO is certainly doing a better job than the CEO of SBRY! :)
I hope SD is paid..... I need the money :)
You have answered your own question. After the great work done keeping us all fed.
The automatic operation is an inc edible sight. I'm not sure if the YouTube video is still up. I am looking forward to the 30+ mini automated sites. First was due to go live in March. I don't know how late it has been delayed.
Topped up on the drop again.
Worth sitting tight with this.£2.80 is achievable easily in my opinion.Dividend, special dividend, whats not to like
Upgraded Tesco to 280 on 28th April, sighting their automated operation helping to minimise margin dilution.
Meanwhile I wonder how booker has done during lockdown?
Graying IMO you have to look outside the box, this is a Doctor running a hospital in America, open eyes and see.

Good to see the steady rise in the SP today.... no great gains and no big dips, my only concern is Tesco paying a large special dividend in the current harsh economic environment - will it look bad with some other companies going to the wall and making large scale job losses?.... Hopefully it will be paid, but I'm prepared for it to be deferred to a later date. The last thing Tesco needs is to be branded a "fat cat capitalist money grabbing machine" by the media, especially after the great work it has done helping to keep us all fed. Just my opinion.
Stop spreading this mindless c**p across the LSE boards. Do one, there is enough conspiracy theorist Covid19 fake news out there without the likes of you spreading more around. Get a life.
Mf99 lol surely your joking lol
Because of good sales and news coming good time to buy
