looking as wrong as Jolly was on his timing of top slice here ...good ol TRI (...nearly trebled since the crescendo/punt)
Simon T. and various brokers say that Trifast should go to 125p on earnings...helped by the acquisition of the Italain firm VIC for £26m.....so trifast is still good buying even after that lovely rise.
Stockopedia's Paul Scott isn't as bullish about the acquisition because it's been paid for by debt and tbh I think he has a point, don't you? My god you seem to be on free carry in almost every nice-looking stock I glance at (and 6k after selling - jesus that's possibly even more than my entire portfolio). I was going to ask 'How do you do it?' but I already know: it's because you're a fantastic investor. I have much to learn from you.... As for TRI, I think I'm going to let this go because there's better opportunities out there I reckon and - as discussed with you yesterday - I'm trying desperately not to buy anything! Although that doesn't stop me being tempted. Best regards as ever, Dan
yep...terrific acquisition imv... ...may flip back in (at loss)... ...(though I have 6k on free carry so not that bothered)
looks great and they're buying it for just 5 x profit too! I've never given TRI any attention tbh but I'm really liking the look of this...
not best timing lol
...EV/EBIT in 12-14 range looks fair-fully valued ...dyor/no investment advice ..free carry of 6k...not bad lol
Very positive - broken through previous intra-day high of Nov '13, currently hovering around 91p
Nplus1 Brewin have reiterated their Buy recommendation and moved target from 89p to £1 FinnCap have reiterated their Buy recommendation and moved target from 91 to 95p SP has responded well - up 6+%
Trifast recommended today by Midas share tips:...very good company....should de well tomorrow.
871,877 shares bought at 83p!
Nicely bouncing up and MACD back up.
Shan, never realised you had your beady eyes over here! It's on my watchlist and seeing the retrace and could be a nice one. Hope your having a jolly time mr jolly.
well there is no stopping anp...bit pricey imv...worth top slicing?
Off.topic....anp...I calculate its ev/ebit of around.8.3-10. One.of best companies on aim imho...no.debt,.markets in China and now USA recently too. Please have a look on.bb and.let me know Langy....still in learning phase so get excited whenever I learn something new lol!!!!
I agree... ...I vaguely remember that one of the well regarded bloggers commented that he thought TRI's offering/ markets were unexciting ...seemed to question 90p...that may help explain retrace ...but I am Jolly old and have had my fill of excitement lol
Jolly interesting, not that I know what you two are on about, ebita pe ratios verses thingies.lol......
I doubled pbit from half yearly report give ev/ebit value of about 10....the sp was in 90s at the time so anything below 90s will be good investment IMHO. Langy....not in mate....just studying financials !!!! Lol....exciting stuff!!!!! Lol!!!
...ain't that a fancy smoke?
Are you two in cahoots.lol........
that's exactly right...the really sweet play is TSTL now (or PEN 3 years ago)... before the double benefit of ratings expansion and EBIT growth...fingers crossed/not tempting fate lol ...but PEN & TRI are cracking opportunities imv...I just top sliced here to release some dosh for elsewhere...and will look for Jolly cheeky flip back in somewhere c70p
Jolly fab company this...it seems TRI had EV/EBIT of approx. 10 in June...but sp still surged from 50s to 80s. from half yearly report, the EV/EBIT was again about 10 despite sp rising. I guess conclusion is as long as pbit continues to increase, EV/EBIT remains somewhat constant and therefore company remains good investment?! (looking very good for future btw)!!!
Totally agree Jolly - Looks good in the medium-term once financials catch back up with the share price, but for now it looks fully priced http://www.theel1tetrader.com/2013/11/trifast-higher-valuation-secured.html Good luck with your investments, El1te
..terrific run.....decent company/reasonably fully priced imv ...and I need even bigger cash war chest for impending correction across markets (if that happens lol)
Hi think he's referring to the incremental movement in the share price prior to the results- a 4p increase today which is good. The results are due on the 12th, can't wait to see the effect this has on share price.. impressive year so far for tri
