I can see no news as to why the sp has jumped so much today. Makes me wonder why the sp took a sharp drop not long ago. Perhaps someone is in the know. Interesting. Regards CM
goal ratio 0.5, CL experience .. don't think BR and his coaches will stand for any nonsense at Melwood (at MC he was managed by a fellow Italian).. if trouble I won't be surprised if the sale is at a profit again, Boston are in on this and they know how to manage the $ side of things ... GL all
Holding steady here. Re. LFC, well, we sell one mad dog and sign another. Wonder how super Mario will fit in?!. Don't see him as another Luis, but who knows, perhaps he will keep his head. Good luck all and regards CM
Here's hoping the market won't pick on TRCS today (or other days). Seems like at times they do the rounds to see who to pick on next!. Probably just my imagination. Still very nervous times all round. Long term player?, yes, probably right. Regards CM
Yep, AIM very poor, as is FT250 ... Blackrock have been major sellers of many different good quality shares, chucking them out at pxx I would consider very attractive .. perhaps they don't own TRCS! Best to be a long term player (like Brendan!)
Sorry Taudelta, which "friends" are you referring to?. I thought we had lost to Monkeychester Utd!. Well, hope this isn't tempting fate, but at least TRCS seem to be holding up when other shares are falling all around. Poor time of year for investments, low volume, folk on holiday and with crisis in various parts of the world. Seems like the market is using them to give a correction. No doubt we will see this one through like others but uncomfortable at the time. Good luck and regards CM
Agree, I guess i'm saying that maybe if EM has a 1-in-3 chance, it's still a risk, albeit a diminished one ... I'm very well except for a bad stomach after suffering that 3-1 to our friends at the other end of the Ship Canal... thankfully only a Mickey Mouse trophy (appropriately played in Florida).
Good evening Taudelta, hope all is well. Thanks for the post. I understand what you are saying but it is assuming that Labour will win the next election, which is very far from certain. In my opinion the Labour party elected the wrong Milliband brother to be leader. Had they elected David then I think their prospects would be far stronger, but I for one (regardless of my political viewpoint) just can't see Ed being Prime Minister. He doesn't cut the right image and I am not sure he is truly in control. What folk say now, who they will vote for may well be, probably will be quite different to election day. Have no doubt the Tories will bang on about the economy, how it has recovered from being in a drastic state under Labour (whether we agree or not). It is thought that Governments tend to lose elections rather than oppositions win them. Do people really want to see renationalisation of industry?, would it be any better?. Top of my head, I am not sure just how much any renationalisation will affect TRCS. Time will tell, but I don't think it is much to worry about for the time being at least. I believe there will be more opportunities for TRCS in the near future. Thanks for raising the subject. Regards CM
Thought this Telegraph article an interesting perspective on the "back-door renationalisation" issue ... sorry folks to dwell on a negative but IMO Labour populist agenda is a relevant risk. Fortunately though, TRCS has interests in OZ and US and is flexible and opportunistic, so if the UK were impacted (and it would be gradual), TRCS would be able to place more emphasis on overseas biz......http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/epic/nex/11007985/National-Express-boss-attacks-Labour-move-to-renationalise-railways.html ...... Not sure if the link below will work, taken from Stockopedia today, but hey, lets give it a go: (LON:TRCS) I don't normally comment on contract win type announcements, as they usually contain insufficient information to determine whether they are financially material or not. However, this one looks interesting - details on the extension to a further six sites of a North American pilot of Tracsis's remote condition monitoring product & software. Tracsis commented; The extension of this pilot to a further six sites is a very positive endorsement of the Tracsis offering and a logical next step as our client gains confidence in the technology and the benefits it provides. We hope that this will pave the way for further successes within the US as our footprint into this territory grows. It doesn't take a genius to work out that if this product becomes widely adopted in the USA, then that would be very good for Tracsis and its shareholders. The shares are never cheap, but the company does seem to have interesting potential. The Stockopedia graphics below starkly show how the valuation is high, but the quality is also high! Expansion into a new, and huge market such as the USA could be a game changer though, hence in my view it looks potentially interesting, even at this rather high current valuation. 6c518038f3.png - See more at: http://www.stockopedia.com/content/small-cap-value-report-24-jul-2014-trcs-ssy-vtu-cfyn-whi-84934/#sthash.35YmEtRt.dpuf Regards CM
Good evening Shan. Yes, a good RNS and close on the heels of yesterdays RNS about director buying. I saw that as a vote of confidence and considered topping up but wanted a positive update from the U.S pilot first. As a rule I don't trade first thing straight after a positive RNS because the share price is usually marked up immediately and we can get caught out by a sudden spike. I saw the price had risen by 5p and so waited. However in this instance the price held steady and started rising. No problem, I just sat on the sidelines, enjoying the rise and went out for a walk in the hills with my 4 legged friend and had a swim together. Great. We'll see what happens from here. Quite a relief that after 8 months we have an update. Glad I kept my nerve and stayed invested. As for broker targets, well, I treat them as of interest only. I have got caught out badly in the past by taking them seriously and investing on the back of them. However, £4 did look possible when the share price was at around £3.60 and I for one will be quite happy if the share price reaches that level. Regards CM
and new £4 broker target!!!!
Brilliant rns....more added to USA pilot!!!!
.
Could be an announcement soon on Labour policy for manifesto.... newspaper talk based on leaks from Labour circles is that the hard left want full re-nationalisation, which Milliband thinks would appear too aggressive, so he is planning a compromise policy whereby the state/government can bid for franchises... trouble is, the private operators may not care to play this game and may step away, there would thus de facto be a kind of back-door re-nationalisation (which would be a gradual process as franchises come up one-by-one).... a lot of potential operators are large outfits that can fry fish in other countries.
Most strange. I have been looking at the trades over the last week or so. Volume remains low and yet the share price keeps falling. There have been a lot of small buys, of around 283, 289 and 294 shares after which the share price falls. Is this some kind of code between market makers to move the share price?. Too many to be of co-incidence surely. The odd one or two ok, but why such strange amounts?. Todays RNS states that director has exercised his options but has not sold any shares. If the directors start selling then that would be an indication to sell, but if they are holding then they must believe there is further to run. As the share price falls it could be argued it is better value, particularly if it was over valued previously. A bad week and more for TRCS. It is not alone. Seems to get marked down early then holds up for rest of the day. Maybe the market makers will pick on some other company next week!> Regards CM
Agree, cm........ instructive to look at the year-to-date charts of the leading dividend-paying stocks on AIM, e.g. BRK, CLIN, JHD, NICL, PRZ, YNGA ... apart from Youngs, they all look horrible, all without much if any bad news. Re LFC wonder if we will land Lovren? .... for me it's the centre half element of the squad that most needs developing.
Taken from the last trading update: Tracsis plc, a leading provider of software and technology led products and services for the transportation industry, is pleased to announce a trading update. As a result of strong trading across all areas of the Group, the Board expects both revenue and profit to be significantly ahead of current market forecasts for the year ending 31 July 2014. Full year revenue is now expected to be in excess of £20m. If revenue is in excess of £20m that will be an increase of around 100%. Don't see anything obviously negative. July is usually a poor month for investing and this year seems no exception. Additionally, I have seen the TRCS share price fall back what at the time seemed alarmingly in the past only to recover from a less strong base. Not expecting a RNS at any time soon but winning a new contract and/or a positive update from the U.S wouldn't go amiss. Regards CM
many ways of valuing a fast growing company like TRCS...one favoured on NASDAQ cos it is neutral between profitable and unprofitable companies is revenue multiples...you compare the Enterprise Value divided by revs across the sector ...worth reading a primer, CM ...enjoy the hills
Still don't know what you are saying Jolly. Please can you explain it in plain English?. Expand it a little please. Thanks CM
looked stretched
Jolly, what are you on about?., I for one have no idea. CM
so where might this settle? 3* revs?
Cm..thanks for getting in touch with Trcs re NA pilot. And yes...LS is a gonner....good business by lfc....bought for 23 and sold for 75! Controversially I wouldn't mind either lukaku or even balotelli at Anfield!!!....I read br is a big fan of ballotelli bit unsure if lfc would risk another volatile character....still think he would be good signing!...lukaku...ex-Everton so unsure but he certainly is quality!...also gotta sort defense out!!!!
Reply from TRCS today: The American pilot is still ongoing and proceeding to plan. A further update will be provided in due course as and when appropriate." Proceeding to plan. Positive?, hmm, ok. Good to get a speedy response. Regards CM
