Hi Slift, can't read the article as not a subscriber. Any chance of cut and paste? Thanks in advance.
Earnings are due for major oil next week.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/investing/shares/profits-will-grow-seven-fold-oil-stocks-set-bumper-2021/
IF oil stocks are valued in line with oil prices, stock markets, value for money etc.
Tullow would be worth at least 100-150p/share, IMO.
Sadly climate change and emissions has become an everyday topic for investors, banks, politicians, economists, everybody.
Despite stock markets hitting record highs since 2020 (pre-covid)
and S&P500 hitting 31% above 2020 (pre-covid)..
Not a single oil major has surpassed 2020 (pre-covid) levels.. despite Brent oil prices being 20-25% higher than 2020 (pre-covid) levels.
Value stocks have simply been out of fashion for the past 18 months and very undervalued.
Todays markets are just stupid and there is no real value for money currently, thanks fed.
oil at 73 dollars now....so can you imagine markets having tullow rise by 19p for 5 dollar increase to 78 dollars where we were a few weeks ago.....nah neither do i
someone said last year i think when prices rose a bit that if 100 dollar poo then tlw would be 60p or something i thought craZY....they appear to be almost correct as we hit 78 dollars recently
oil was 69 dollars in march when tlw was 61p and even 65p inter day one day......plus 4 months of higher gains since then plus better news
@PGee ... I meant the company going from strength to strength and not the share price. I agree the share price is weak, fragile and manipulated. As you say should be at least 80p by now. I still think we're head up soon and by a lot, as they can only manipulate it for so long and can't manipulate the oil price. Also, they have no control over what happens in Kenya. So going to be an interesting and hopefully very profitable next 6 months.
Anton, hardly strength to strength, we should be in the eighties now, if it was not for the recent savage manipulation, even today….even as I type!
Other thing they have in common is they all got it spectacularly wrong. The share price rose and rose from that date, despite all their fear mongering and doom prophecies, and Tullow went from strength to strength.
I rest my case your honour. If anybody made any sense of that let the rest of us know.
Total gibberish, British Engineer my arse you don't even know what day it is, let alone being literate enough to even pass a basic English exam to get onto an engineering course.
Ronsocks, Nov. 16th mainly and thereabouts, I have counted about 26 on that day alone, a cabal of Ne’er do wells! One thing in common mainly derampers and doubt spreaders.
How do you know Jeffries holding at 50p unless you are spying with your rugman or making up? Judging from the contents of your posts, someone like me is not bother to read at all neither to consider make a friend with you. We are completely different people, my last job is a British engineer not a rugman's office secretary. Imperial gate is not opened to everyone. I know these people keep insulting people and making a web of deceit with different names and character for their own benefits. I do not do that at all.
Regarding my earlier posts, I didn't hold for 50p, sold some this morning.
Is there a correlation? This one looks like it escaped from the cuckoo clock. I have no idea what it's on about. Mostly gibberish.
What was it that drew so many people to join this board in Nov 20, its been commented on previously i know ,but did we come to any conclusions.Just out of interest,
Target 50p... when our most critical analyst Jeffries has a hold at 50p, really insightful. The noobs who crawl out of the woodwork on these drops only to resort to attacking reasonable longer term posters, great way to make friends. Well done for providing a tiny bit of liquidity, do you want a pat on the back or a party hosted in your honour for buying stock? Like many others I have been steadily increasing my holding over years and do not feel the need to shout about it. There are some posters you should listen to with actual interest Steven B for one. This guy nah.
For those with any patience beyond the attention span of woodlice with their tiny holdings, with no knowledge beyond a price target, just think about that prize possible this year ie. a decision on Kenya and an actual realistic profit for 2021.
Hmmm, I figure it is from Spain or Sweden, a rugman's babygirl ant.
It is very strange that 'ant' does not claw out when the SP is up which is what it is after. We should regard it as a clown as well. There are some clowns playing around, trying to deceit people. Remember their names.
Yes, 90p target I should make if I had loads of shares to hold and big money to short trade. I will sit on my hands to get there. When a stock really brings you pleasure and fortune, I certainly will regard it as a lover. Thanks for the relies and I already figure that out.
@Fly...All I can tell you is that some of us have lived with Tullow as a mistress for a while now down as low as 8p. She gives and takes BUT now she is much more than a recovery play and has nice long legs which she will stretch in time to come. A few of us (delusional perhaps) believers have £1-2 sp in the medium term as target exit points currently and with a fair wind and planets aligning correctly even higher. Keep the faith and don't treat her as a day trade stock unless you REALLY know what you're doing because like all good mistresses she will keep surprising you for her pleasure, not yours.
Well, I only see short term prices with Brent's continuous bumpy movement. Maybe I am wrong as I am new to this stock.
@Flyover. Thanks for this post but think you are selling yourself and TLW a bit short (no pun intended) regarding what to hold out for. The longer term potential here is much higher than 50p and having seen this twice in the mid 60s recently I feel pretty confident that half year results will accelerate the interest in, and growth of, TLW IMHO.
I have observed continual big buyers flooding into TLW in the last three days. It will go up to 50p soon. I hope it will go up to 60p. Hold for 50p at least.
