More humour then. Let’s celebrate closing at 167 then. The only way is up then……
Or is it
I never realised ….. Winni has a sense of humour. Well we’ll well whatever next. Probably another half dozen messages from Smith telling us why his search engine failed him (yet again) and that is why he read my message …..
Hopefully Tlou will manage to generate and sell power before the BERA licence needs renewal …… in how many years now ……
I'm sure the board especially TG read this board, to again the vastly superior knowledge and business acumen that Donkey offers. After all how else are they going to be successful in Botswana without his input...
Back on board and just caught up.
Saw this from the only poster
"So who do you think the Board are most influenced by who post on this board Brad ?"
Simple to answer for sure.
The message is far more important than who wrote it!
If it strikes a chord at HQ then the subject might be raised with those that matter.
I don't believe Tony reads us , especially since Covid started , but I reckon a group of juniors are expected to keep an eye on us.
My evidence, which might just have been coincidence , but I think not ....
TLOU used to continually talk about CBM Power and it was causing confusing on here and Advfn with a few posters believing they were talking about providing GAS rather than ELECTRICITY.
I was correcting posters quite often and eventually criticised the company for saying CBM Power on here.
The next publication used the expression "CBM powered electricity" and that is still true today.
Since then nobody has posted that we plan to deliver GAS except in talk about a pipeline to Orapa (guilty milord).
Self-defeating search of RNS???
"Operational Report - Quarter ending 31 March 2021
CBM power is ideal for use in conjunction with solar projects. A generation licence has also been granted by the Botswana Energy Regulatory Authority (BERA). This licence has a 15-year term and is valid for both solar and gas-fired generation."
"Operational Report Quarter Ended 30 September 2019
Clean CBM power is ideal for use in conjunction with solar projects."
"27 August 2019 Final Results
The Company has also received environmental approval for up to 20MW of CBM power generation including the drilling of 200 production pods, a 66 kV Transmission Line and a Solar Farm up to 20MW."
"Operational Report - Quarter Ending 30 June 2019
Downstream Environmental Impact Statement approval
Botswana's Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) has approved the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for up to 20MW of CBM power generation including the drilling of up to 200 production pods, a 66kV Transmission Line and a Solar Farm up to 20MW." etc
i.e. CBM power is qualified by generation or gas or solar above!
Here is an earlier mention....
"22 February 2018 Interim Results
The loss for the half-year is higher than the comparative period in the previous year. Part of this increase is attributed to work conducted in relation to the Company's response to a proposal for a CBM power project submitted to the Government of Botswana during the period"
"25 October 2017 Results of Annual General Meeting
Commercially, the team submitted a compelling tender for the Botswana Government's tender to development of up to 100MW CBM power projects. These are great milestones which Tony will discuss further in his address. " etc
"OPERATIONAL REPORT - QUARTER ENDING 30 SEPTEMBER 2017
Proposal for a CBM Power Project submitted to Government of Botswana
Early in 2017, the Company received a detailed Request for Proposal ("RFP")
So who do you think the Board are most influenced by who post on this board Brad ?
Whizzer I hope it is not monkeypox!
Dettol is good for removing spots!
The board does read this board Ro!
Actually, I think the main purpose of this RNS is to tick a box that the company issued news on progress during Q2 - end of May, with 2 months until the quarterly update. Where they will reference back to this Update during the quarter.
As for Tony saying ‘the team’ will be very busy - hmmm, I thought Tlou appointed a 3rd party to do this work for them. So I don’t see Tony or Solomon or Colm or GG or even Danny being too involved with this construction. Maybe Danny being out in the field will check progress from time to time, but surely this is not his full time job.
Usual bit of attempted hood wink of the more gullible and adoring shareholders I reckon. Don’t worry, I am here to keep it all real and honest :)
Whizzer - Yes you are spot on. Is the Board deliberately slowing the progress. Please keep posting
Well it shows how ignorant you are stating they’d have to pay for the poles storage if bought sooner when we already have a decent yard and a working site area, both perfect for storing the first batch of poles! Storage for free.
My obsession is not with the poles but the lack of progress, the same as it’s always been and until they make some progress which gives us a return as shareholders I will keep speaking my mind because this should be a lot further down the line than where we currently are.
And as for misinformation about how many poles can be placed in a day, 8-10 in a day is more than achievable!
Drill hole
Pop pole in
Back fill
Job done on to the next one.
DownToEarth.
I don't think any board read post like this as there hundreds and thousands of financial places where public would be making and posting comments.
Whizzer, I haven’t responded to your idiotic post because it’s basically a cut and paste post from one of your previous posts and demonstrates how ignorant you are. I’m absolutely fine with this morning’s update. Clearly the BOD has been reading this forum and have updated shareholders to stop muppets like you giving out misinformation about how quickly the poles should be erected. If you knew anything about construction or civil engineering works, you would realise that there is invariably a (often lengthy) period of enabling works prior to carrying out the meat of the contract. If, for example, you were having house extended, you wouldn’t expect the contractor to immediately start the extension without first clearing the site, diverting the services, establishing access, site accommodation and making it safe, would you? The same principle can be applied to this transmission line contract. It obvious they need to clear the path for the machinery to be utilised in erecting the poles. Regarding the procurement of poles, there would typically be a down payment when ordering these, so I suspect that to limit their costs they have ordered these as late as possible and to time the delivery of the poles to coincide with the availability of the equipment and workers to erect the poles, otherwise they would have to pay for them and store them.
Your obsession with these poles is bizarre, you’re trying to micromanage this process in your head without knowing what the schedule of works looks like. We are told it will take 15 months, that is the headline figure you should focus on, if 12 months from now there hasn’t been significant progress then I would be concerned. Just chill man!!!
What gets me is colm comes out about a month ago and states that we must repay shareholders faith!
If you make that statement at least have something positive to back it up with, you absolute moron!
Funny how all the chief cheer leaders have disappeared into the abyss, dte, minor, Brad!!
I suspect they are a bit disappointed with the delay if truth be told.
