You're right this time Magnet.
Buying below 4.4p is highly recommended - but if the price never exceeds 4.4p it is hardly worth buying any.
We all hope that sometime before 20th July 2022 the price will rise well above 4.4p
If you don't have enough cash to pay 4.4p for your options, you can sell enough just enough shares to raise those 4.4p's , ideally selling at the peak price to keep the count down.
Lagerkhan and I were discussing if there is a tax liability if you buy your options after the price rise makes you an instant paper profit which can possibly be considered a capital gain or a gift?
Lager suggested I check with IG because Barclays had suggested that to him.
If you buy into an ISA account whilst the sp is 4.4p or less - it seems certain you will not have a tax liability.
Taking your options is fixed at 4.4p each irrespective of when (before 20th July 2022) or how much the daily price is.
Buy shares for 4.4p and instantly sit on a loss of around 25%??
Why wouldn’t you just buy shares on the open market for 3.5p
I know I got castigated before for this logic, still only makes sense to me to strike your options above the strike price and your in profit.
We are all waiting with baited breath for you to explain your devilish ideas on how TG can produce an income at TLOU without the poles/wires to deliver solar or cbm power!!!! And a pipeline to Orapa is not an alternative imho because that is 149Km without permission yet , compare to the 100Km tx lines you so vehemently oppose by insulting TG and co.
I am not holding my breath, I'd suffocate , so bait awaits your genius! And it will have to be!
There is MFM and me who have declared this to be so, if others wereto tick this up you'd see how mighty your idea is because I suspect not one of has aclue this time! Just as you perceive this and every other board!
To pinch another's expression .... c'mon get the ball rolling Donk, bailllie or mrmoagi, or admit that TG has it spot on as some of us think.
Smith - talk about Tlou please. Nobody cares about the other rubbish.
Donk, tell the shrink that you have just renewed a paid subscription to join all those inferior beings, and your bill will be trebled! Are you really so stupid that you cannot see how others view you?
Donk , I have some advice for you - go and see a shrink and show him this post whilst playing this song to him/her!

"donkey40 - 19 Feb 2018 - 21:46:05 - 3333 of 9025 CEO's third $Billion+ gas company in the making. - TLOU
Wheniamfree - I would bash you, but sadly for you, you are just too stupid and simple. Hence no point.
I am here to talk about Tlou and CBM in Botswana. You seem to only want to post and talk about me - even i find it boring now.
Tidd, you, Buzz - 2 pieces of big news ie Bid and Reserves upgrade were going to transform this bag of hot air into the King if AIM. RFP is a disaster; now we have stupid news chit chat about Kharma being gifted Tlou shares and you absolute total unbelievably stupid people engaging in conversation about this and saying it is a good thing.
Do any of you have a brain ?!
Reserves - these are not coming out until TG and team clarify on the RFP. No chance - they don't want to be blind spotted twice. So sit back and wait a while girls - share price going nowhere.
And if another unexpected hiccup occurs - boom, what price 2p .......
326m shares in issue, yet another RFP submission that will take 9months plus, no Offtake so SRK will struggle to place value on commercial market Offtakes, .....
What else can go wrong I wonder ....
let me have a think ...
And And And - lest you forget - I TOLD YOU SO !!!
Little wonder Buzz has gone elsewhere - what a failure !!!!"
"It is about time some common sense start appearing on this board !!"
Well said Donk! With you on board we are half way there - you bring the common bit!
As for the sense , you advocate that Tlou is on the right path now , with no evidence of why after years of common abuse of the board. More posters seem to be agreeing with you that we can Damascus on the horizon, beyond the desert, BUT you think this chat room is devoid of sense???????
You are definitely bi-polar mate, unless there are poles to the east and west etc in which case you are 360 degrees polar, one for each username perhaps?
We all await your solution after criticising Tlou for adopting poles/wires policy before earning revenue - come on cretin give us a SENSIBLE alternative.
If you are short of ideas - you are! - here is one for your way of mis-thinking!
We could employ an army of zulu type warriors to prepare for the civil war you prophesied. They'd support the ex-president who'd reward us by taking over the TLOU project and cancelling all our shares? Or perhaps we should find a way of investing in Sekaname who are clearly the fore-runners of the CBM race in Botswana despite not a word coming from them in years! Is that the sort of sense you bring to the party?
Great news Brad, it must be a weight off your mind.
Thank you for your kind messages guys. Post-biopsy has been fine, hardly any discomfort, I think they did a fine job. How on earth they can put stitches into someone's mouth is beyond me - but I never felt the stitches at all , even when I cleaned my teeth. The possibility of melanoma was not very nice but my dentist and the hospital certainly did not waste a second getting it dealt with. Hospital said they'd inform my dentist of the good news.
Great news on the medical front Brad, must be a big relief. Nice day for it too :)
If you guys don’t know how your options exercise, or when they expire, and come on a message board to ask for guidance - then frankly you deserve to lose every penny you ever invest.
And if you think Smith is the oracle on matters options and pricing, you WILL lose every penny you invest.
It is about time some common sense start appearing on this board !!
Your options will lapse on 20th July 2022 so you don't have so long to wait.
I think I’m going to consider the options offer after the finance deal is announced! How many more years will I have to wait for that? Come on Tlou, get on with it!
That's great news Brad, I'm chuffed for you mate..!
Pleased to hear about your biopsy report, enjoy the moment.
There seems to be different policies at each broker, Lager. Jarvis have my options in nominee and ISA accounts, but I don't have remotely near the number of options that you have.
Having options in a nominee account seems more problematic taxwise than a tax exempt ISA, but making a profit whilst not actually owning that stock is clearly a potential issue. If the options lapse in 2022 HMRC will not offer tax relief on the loss of expectation?
There is no chance of capital gains unless my dormant companies AVN and USOP revive from a 12 pennies to quite a few pounds - they were £2 up to £7 pounds when I bought them. Their losses coupled with Sirius and HMV give me immunity from tax, I reckon.
The hospital were scheduled to ring me at 3:15 with the result of the Biopsy , and at 3:20 I got the excellent news that it was just mercury from a filling that had penetrated the gum/tongue area following an extraction. So it is happy day!
My second covid jab is due on Thursday - the NHS is doing me proud I think. Very efficient.
Get a room you 2. Nobody cares
Hi Brad, Barclays told me that I could not hold options in an ISA.
There will be rules somewhere but I could not find them with a quick look.
I think that the tax situation could complicate matters, if you had a million 4p options and the share price went to £1 what would the tax position on the gain be.
I would double check with IG
Just remembered my IG problem.
I'd subscribed the maximum on my ISA, so I asked IG to put my ISA options into my nominee account.
So options do look permissible in an ISA subject to which broker you use maybe?
eBay Inc. Buyer paid, but the money isn't showing in your account 09:01 (alert!)
took me by surprise, my buyer seemed great!
This was the gist of it , once I opened the alert, ....
Yet to Receive Your Funds?
Although your buyer has paid, sometimes your money might not be available in your account immediately*. But there are ways to receive your funds quicker!
Money is still in my account. £10.34 received of £11 sale is quite reasonable from Ebay?
I was forgetting EXCESS shares so glad I asked now.
Muggins only requested a small proportion of my entitlement, because I have seen some placings dumping higher demands in favour of lower requests when they were oversubscribed!
I got 100% of my request but it was not an easy process. IG/ASX was brilliant, but IG/LSE did not even ask me about my excess requirement. And 50% of those Excess shares missed were lost options. After over 2 years of living on my pension , determined to leave my missus savings in situ , and the price drops I'm having to keep my eye on the finances now. Breaking into savings is not recommened , once you start it can be easy to do a Magnus Magnesson , and keep going!
Brad,
I took up my option allocation then sold some of my holding to fund payment for the excess shares which gave one option for every two excess shares.
I now have about 3.5 million shares including options which I am happy with.
I did a similar thing a few years ago with Sound Energy Warrants which worked very well for me.
I do not think that we will have too long to wait for good news so good luck to all.
Wow, lagerk was that a typo or did you really have over 12M shares going into the offer.
Cheers Lagerk, I did wonder why they are were only in my nominee account at IG.
Just checked my X-O ISA account and my options are listed there under a non-TLOU epic code, the same epic as my entitlement in my nominee account with them..
Brokers are handling these options very differently to each other and are definitely causing confusion. Whether this is down to TLOU not making it clear how this to be managed or whether it is the broker's fault is a guess.
I smiled at your post but did not respond because that would have guaranteed green responses.
I'm glad I am not alone tbh, if posters whom I respected were to complain to me I'd be less thick skinned but the moaners are generally non-tlou posters whom I feel have no right to demand anything from this board! Chat is a two way communication in my book. Very few people chat , and only a dozen or so posters put any work into finding out info to start those chats!
Did you try that IQ test? It is a bit different. I looked back the Einstein graded one and their score was 168 out of 200 for that grouping.
I'm up to 98 out of 144 with the new test after I took the "don't know" answers out ( because they probably are incorrect in every case! ) I never got close to 100% on their set scores e.g. 20 out of 29, including number puzzles which irks me!
I think it is from Bulgaria so maybe the questions lose something in translation? At least you give them no information about yourself so no spam is likely in future. The full IQ test appears to need more ionfo so I did not go there!
Brad,
Think that you will find that you are not allowed to hold the options in an ISA.
I have over a million options but do not intend to exercise them until the share price goes above 20P.
