In current markets any news release which is 99% positive and 1% negative seems to send the share price plummeting. I've quickly scanned through the RNS & I'm pretty happy with it, but looking for any negative which might send the price down - tea is weak but we already knew that (that won't stop current markets reacting though) the FX strategy is a bit vague but suggests they might not have been doing as well on that front as they could have. They've increased stock levels, which some people could see as negative - I see it as prudent. They describe the year as "challenging" & that word never sticks well with markets, Net debt has gone up - again we knew it was going to, and I have been impressed with the way they have managed their debt levels during this period of huge investment, but maybe markets will see higher debt levels with rising interest rates as bad. T ~ 1.5 c profits it's quite manageable and cash flow is good so it should start coming down quite quickly.
I'm pleased with it - no surprises, everything going pretty much as management think with sales up 13%. BUT there are enough possible minor negatives for the market to react badly. Oh for those heady days when the SP was over 1200!
I think so, and added a few more yesterday at £5.75. They make stuff people want, they sell it at a (massive) profit and they're becoming even more efficient at it with the new sheds in East Anglican and the US.
18th September. Sunday Times share tip. Treatt. This may be behind a paywall but here is the link https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/share-tip-treatt-will-be-back-comment-79d2882vj . Conclusion. As a long term investment, at £6.20 TET now looks a good time for investors to treat themselves.
John Lee is sticking with TET despite the recent fall in sp, per his FT column today.

In accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation, the following Director notified the Company on 1 September 2022 of the exercise of his option under the 2019 Save As You Earn Share Option Scheme ("SAYE"), details of which are below:
Can someone explain why Daemmon Reeve managed to buy shares at £3.61 on 1st Sept. I can’t see that the price went this low ?
Have I missed something ?
The Group expects to issue a trading update in October 2022, after the completion of the financial
year to 30 September 2022.
Team does anyone know, as to why there has been no trading update so far? It was due today
Midas share tip today
" I believe the Chairman purchased shares worth just below £50K today. I hope I am correct. Thanks"
You're quite right, but so was I.
Just to clarify:
CEO bought ~£20k shares Monday and also did a bit of dividend reinvesting later in the week.
Chairman bought 2 tranches, one around £20k, one around £30k
Then later in the week an NED bought £10k (Personally I'm always slightly concerned when I see NEDs owning shares, as it could arguably compromise their position, but the fact they are buying is a good sign for their belief on the future of the company v it's current market value.)
Bought back at £5.66 the ones I top sliced in January 2021 at £9.05. Might pick up a few more with upcoming divis if it stays this low for the new month or so. Average well under £2.50 per share.
Nice and steady does it …
I think this gaps back to 650 - 700 pretty fast. There wont be a huge amount of time to buy at these levels.
Let the bounce begin. I’m glad I bought loads. GLA
Looks good to consolidate and recover now.. always DYOR
A few more director purchases coming in.
Yeah it was just a silly comment from someone who's literally created a new account to try and create doubt. Hopefully people will know to ignore, and looks as if they are judging by the movement of the share price since that post.
Scaremongers out already as they didn`t buy in Yesterday or a LTH who is sitting on a large loss. Congrats to all who bought in Yesterday & Today. Wont need long for a decent profit on this one.
There is more chance of the SP falling below 500p than MUFC winning the league this season. Stop scaremongering Rozzer.
It's finally moving back up.
Nice new account.. Yep and there could be a pig about to fly past the window.
Have you seen many earnings reports this Q, here and in the states, IBM for example taking a huge hit from $ strength...
I am not so sure. There was something odd about the report. Tea is only a small part of the business but it seemed to get a great empathise in the report. Also Treatt normally hedge their FX exposure but cited currency fluctuation as another reason for the poor numbers. There could be something else going on and the shares could continue to fall below 500.
Yep, its still steadying out after the "shock" of the fall.. It looks pretty stable now. I use this term lightly as its still early days, but I think its going to start building from here..
I gregpeck. Decent support at this level as well. I think we'll see a push back toward the director buy in prices today/tomorrow, and then once that starts could be back into the 600's pretty quick.
