It looks like there must be a bid for Opus if they have appointed Rothschild. TEP own 20% so should be a great cash windfall on its way soon.
A new higher high coming up?????
Yep, everything being battered :-( Big gamble, but I'm waiting for a few more days of this and looking to top up all sorts just before the 23rd, with a view that we'll vote to stay in. Sh*t or bust, as they say (gulp!)
Sold 800 at £10-30 near start of June is looking a good decision now ! Selling 70% of my entire Portfolio last week looking even better & will wait for Brexit fear to subside before jumping back in. Good luck all.
but glad it's held up. For now.
we were a month ago. Will 1000 hold? I hope so.
Thanks for that I've been since 2012 seen a few ups and downs, feel there is more to come from this.
Be very careful Dave. I've been in this one for a while now. As I said a few weeks ago, this was deliberately walked down (far too many "A" trades, which suggests algo's) And it will be again soon, imo.
Fri + 17p Mon + 26p Tues + 10p Wed + 31p Thur + 37.5p someone must like this, I know I do
Thank you, onwards and upwards
Absolutely mate, spot on
Looks like they got it right this time
They don't have to be a distributor to be be affected by the power of 'influence', or have they always got their forecasts and ratings correct? Sub-prime? Just sayin'
300 a day? lol - that would be a growth rate of over 18% - so with respect mate, your figures don't add up, dare I say, again.
Suppose morgan stanley and the rest of the brokers must be distributors also, if anyone post a positive comment they must be a distributor.
whatever the growth rate it will always be higher than some expect and lower than others , in the face of headwinds any company will find it a challenge to grow , but winds always change and a company displaying growth trends in adverse conditions is one thats going to fly at some point this last month has seen more than 300 new members joining every day most of which taking all 5 servces . The road ahead just got a whole lot less rocky with the new fixed price enegy offering so who knows what new growth rates will be next month ..........
lol - I don't know where you saw that the growth was better than some expected, because as I said, with a really low market penetration and an aggressive divi policy, one really needs more, much more than 4.2%. Especially when the road ahead, as they suggest in their own update, will be rocky. Are you one of their distributors by the way?
Nevertheless the growth is better than some expected, the company has a sound business model and is able to adapt and still show good profit in a market of fluctuating energy prices. Investors are generally pleased with yesterdays trading update with a maintained dividend, yes it could be better but you can say that about most companies. The results are still the best they have achieved, rocket growth is for younger less established companies with much higher risk imo. If you look at past SP above 1000P the shares look cheap with only 80m in circulation a re-rate could easily happen.
Well, in a market where they have less than 2% market penetration, and an aggressive dividend policy and high p/e ratio, one would hope for more IF the aggressive dividend policy is to be maintained...that's why.
Intrivestor, I'm fascinated by that response. How is a 4.2% growth rate (in better quality customers) not a decent result in these turbulent times? All I know is the (increased) divi is reaffirmed at a time when some companies are cutting theirs. There are reasons to be cheerful. But I suspect you're choosing to not see them. That said, (Optrade) I wouldn't give tuppence for broker's opinions.
If you agree or not the market like the results,. the SP is up more than 5% today! If you haven't looked there is not a broker with an SP target below 1000P
Sorry to disagree, but I don't think a growth rate of 4.2% is a solid trading update in any way, shape or form and is an indication that the share price will rise rapidly now as investors grab the dividend, but will quickly fall thereafter. As I say, 4.2% growth is not good in my opinion.
It looks like my timing might have been good for a change. Paid 821.58 on 7/4
Say no more, all the nay sayers
Solid trading update, TEP is on it's way back up.
