Ha ha I did the same this morning too.
My main long term holding is at 92p average I calculated and my separate trading pot is averaging 1.36.
It’s gone blue hooray :-)
Let’s press on to the 1.50’s now
Make that 7!
Yes your right it should be past 1.40 with ease. Minuscule sells something tells me that is being massaged low :-)
This share should not be down today on the contrary it should be soaring on the back of ASOS results which were as expected as their business model is filled with problems. As the economy opens up the high level of returns will build and the time it takes to put back into stock is too long together with the high costs of double shipping.Ted has shops a wholesale business all elements in its favour
Superdry is up due to the Telegraph tip. (I'm also holding Superdry). I'm not 'yet' tempted to average it down as the upward move from those tips is often temporary.
Well, I now have 6 short term up bets alongside my main holding. Just cannot help myself each time it drops more, foolish I know but we will see. Hopefully I will be a big seller in the next week or so!
Superdry up 4% abd we are down. Our days will come patience patience patience
Slightly better today but a long way to go .My concern is that when a takeover bid comes and at this level of share price it is likely to come sooner than later we might not get it full value
A buy back would be nice, I feel as though this is going to move north shortly. Very low volatility over the last few days particularly.
Just a sitting duck especially for foreign investors abd the likes of Next at present.
I see that Teds employer saving scheme as now closed and has had a good uptake along with the Stock options issued to all the Directors - look like Ted will need to buyback a lot of shares to cover the interest from the employees and the bonus scheme to the directors - Good luck and DYOR
Took some more at 1.32 this market cap is beyond ludicrous now.
The number 2 voted most luxurious brand by yougov with the incredible product lines they have this us madness.
Morrisons style bidding war coming soon IMO
This is a long term hold for me
Ted Baker is an iconic British brand with a very strong brand identity and excellent product lines.
I think U.K. wise Next would be crazy not to table an offer. Just imagine the number of foreign investment firms or global fashion companies that could pick this up at this stupidly low market cap.
I really hope this does not happen as the potential returns are colossal if you are prepared to hold for the next 2-3 years.
What annoys me is because we are so undervalued we are losing some great British companies to overseas investors who buy them up at what are considered very cheap businesses compared to others around the world.
FTSE use to be the leader of the pack. I feel we have aged and now a drag. Such a shame.
Every time I read a Sunday newspaper the ftse is so under valued because the barrow boys and girls have not got the stomach to invest long term this stock will come good hold and happy days
Private equity group would love this. Give it two years tripple the value and then sell it on as a leaner, meaner more profitable brand Tom someone like LVMH.
The brands name alone i would imagine be worth a fortune. As the saying goes 'dont invest is good companies at great prices invest in great companies at good prices'
TED at these prices will see me well for a good couple of years
Don't think funding is an issue based on Q2 Trading Update.
Takeover target in my view if anything.
Instead of going down today I would have expected the price to go up a lot as at this price they are a sitting target for a takeover which still most probably undervalue the company
I see TED as appointed a second broker - you tend to have join brokers for an up and coming large transaction - that could mean one of two things; a Takeover, or Fund Raising - any thoughts for anyone else?
I popped into the Bicester branch abd I was highly impressed with all the clothing, accessories and the layout of the store.
Voted the number 2 luxury brand in the U.K. with an obscene valuation this has such potential for a near term
3-4 bagger.
Dow was up 1.4% and we closed down 0.8 I can see £1.50 plus on Monday. I’m filling my boots whilst it’s down here :-)
I am glad to say I topped up on some cheap shares Christmas is coming and time for some people to hit the shops big profit for this stock next year don’t sell your shares cheap
I'm the same, so all these current bets are really playing with free money on this share.
I think I am going to have some short term top up bets on Metro Bank, my largest holding for all my sins, gut feel to me says it is going to trend higher after a few months in the doldrums.
Typo still holding :-)
Just unbelievable this can dip below 1.40 again. The economy opening up and people are back to the office and with the new dress codes in offices and homes to smart casual TedBaker has such a bright future.
I topped up and I’ve got my latest trades down to 1.46p I am sliding gilding a large tranche sub 90p.
I honestly feel this will get taken out at this level of market cap but I would not want that at all as I envisage £5 plus here in the coming year or two.
