The Second Buyback highlights the Board's confidence in the future prospects of TP ICAP, reflects its strong financial position, and is consistent with its dynamic capital management strategy, which is a key priority. This means reducing our debt, and returning surplus capital to shareholders, subject to our ongoing investment needs and balance sheet requirements.
With this one any plunges I buy especially now. The FT do not post stories lightly.

It does seem odd. Even if the liquidnet value is written down to zero which i understand is not the case as they are gaining traction, albeit not necessarily in the imagined direction, the core broking business should be printing money with the past years vola in rates (unless the brokers are overpaid) . Clearly we are missing something here, hopefully all comes a bit clearer tomorrow.
Gamechanger
Seems a strange one - still readded as I was underinvested here.
LT a winner, dislike chasing but the Parmeta listing makes this a £3/£4 share when confirmed.
Market still in deep sleep
Do city boys not start at 7am?
Give it time though they'll wake up in the end.
Up 4% tells me city has been complacent here.
Tomorrow there is most likely dividend increase for the final divi. If we get details of patameta listing that would be a massive bonus. I think people have 1-2 hours then below £2 is gone. Let's see! Cheap
Whatever happens, the rumour alone is likely to see a significant rise in the SP tomorrow morning. Happy days!
Registered as a separate company in anticipation of a separate listing or sale. Just to clarify

Oh well! Here we go
Financial times report that parameta been listed as a separate company.
The 2 possible outcomes are
1. Sale for 1.5B valuation
2. More likely a listing of the unit
Either option would send the shares soaring.
Interesting to see what price we open up on Monday
Also will there be any details of this on Tuesday results??

Positive view there on Vox.
See this looks like knocking on 200p door shortly likely on the results. See if we get a clear break of that.
Obviously need to wait and see on Tuesday.
After which NEXT target 300p?! Best of luck all, Cheap

Discussed today at 40 mins, which may explain some of the rise.
Good results leaked??
Someone likes it today....been on the back foot since the buyback completed end of jan. Would think the core broking biz has done ok with the fed's false (for now) signals. Interesting to see how other divisions are shaping up.
Final Results 12-Mar-2024
Volume is extremely low right now
Yes I was just wondering if this is the last chance at these prices?
Is results going to blow the £2 away for good?
I really don't know but if the prev results are anything to go by - there were good.
Any views on the 12th of March?
TCAP, bullish uptrend intact after recent pullbck to 170p and a nice dividend to boot . DYOR. Some be over £2 wth a fiar wind on results day mid March.

JPMorgan raises TP ICAP price target to 259 (253) pence - 'overweight'
Nice rise this week. Plenty of gas left in the tank.
Looking at £2 soon. Market waking up ….
Is officially over. TCAP should be £2.50 at least.
Good to see another director buy albeit only 25k shares. Insider buying has sadly been absent for a long time and been an ongoing criticism leveled against the Board. Glad they're listening now.
Well a current year p/e of 6.42 and 1 year p/e of 5.68 provides a hell of a safety net.
