Management speak for 'stepping away from the business' usually means fired. All it tells me is that TP ICAP is looking to strengthen their leadership team which can only be taken as a positive.
" TP ICAP, a leading electronic market infrastructure and information provider, announced today (28 April) the appointment of Mark Govoni as Chief Executive Officer of its Agency Execution division. Govoni replaces John Ruskin, who has decided to step away from the business having successfully led the integration of Liquidnet into the TP ICAP Group. Ruskin will stay with the Group until the end of June to ensure an orderly transition."
Read into the above what you will but my experience of "management speak" tells me all is not well here.

Both liontrust and BlackRock increasing holdings?
175 in the near future hopefully. Maybe a little flurry before the ISA deadline with it being a decent yielding share

Dividend shares to buy today
The first company on my list is the financial services group TP Icap (LSE: TCAP).
At the time of writing, shares in this enterprise offer a dividend yield of 8.9%. According to City analysts, the yield could rise to 11% next year.
This business specialises in trading financial instruments for clients around the world, a model that can reap significant rewards when volatility surges. Indeed, the company’s operating profits have bounced over the past couple of years as market volatility has jumped.
Unfortunately, rising costs have weighed on the firm’s bottom line. This pressure is expected to dissipate over the next two years. As costs fall away, analysts are expecting profits to jump to £175m by 2023. That is up from £67m for 2019.
With profit rising, the company should be able to afford to return lots of cash to investors.
That being said, this is a highly competitive market. Plenty of firms are trying to edge in on TP Icap’s turf. As such, I cannot take its growth for granted. Higher costs and additional regulatory headwinds could also hit growth at the group.
Despite these risks, I reckon this is one of the best dividend shares to buy today, and I would add it to my portfolio.
Told to shape up or ship out and take his wages in equity. This prick cost many a fortune. He should donate his undeserved wages to Ukraine fund. Waste of space snot gobbler with his nose in the troff. I hope for those left in you get a takeover. too late for me.
Crystal ball time.... on the block and in the crosshairs.
Nothing like predicting something before it happens.
should be in for an interesting 30 minutes to the close.
Thank you dearie, ust riding it up, a no brainer to £1.80 or so - it reminds me of the slow burn with Equiniti a year so ago.
A lot of shorts here will need cover. I assume Phase 2 have already reduced their own short.
I was thinking of writing a letter myself to the Board of my other shareholdings just for the fun of sticking it to them.
Petrofac comes to mind.

and the share price is getting better and better 150p now , nice
So what is it worth? Conservatively 2 billion which is double where we are now. Phase 2 think more so £5 pus is not fantasy. Be interested what Mary thinks once she puts down her FT and stops bashing @canetoad with a huntley and palmer. She has after all been around since Sid and has made some good calls on this ;)
At least that is TCAP firmly in the crosshairs of others.
Significantly undervalued - it sure is !
Anyone care to quantify as others are valuing at £4 per share like (Barclays) on 21st Feb.
Many thanks x
Phase 2 Partners, which holds 7.7 million shares in the TP ICAP, urged the London-listed company to look for a new ownership structure through a potential sale or merger with another global trading platform.
"I currently see your shares as significantly undervalued, believe management's lack of stock ownership represents a significant governance failure... and believe the company needs to make decisive steps immediately to benefit long suffering shareholders," Justin Hughes, founder of Phase 2 Partners, said in a letter dated March 22.
A spokesman for TP ICAP in response said the company was maintaining an active dialogue with its investors and is "focused on delivering value to shareholders".
In the letter published on Wednesday and addressed to TP ICAP Chairman Richard Berliand, the hedge fund also urged the company's board members to take all compensation in the form of equities.
If that's the case then £5+
just back from a"liquid- net :)" lunch, can someone post or summarise the information please. TIA.
