You need a fair bit of bottle to ride out the slumps, but to be fair the interview with Brian Hansel was what matter for me buying in here even though I left out before. We both know the sort of response you get when you post something positive in times of very low SP.
I was one of the guys who lost money that time, got off at 20p but now have recovered almost all of it and looking forward to a healthy profit. Just wish I had got on at 10p and not 24p!
moving up slowly......however,i cansee it shooting up very fast very soon...................investors start to take notice of the massive potential here with smith electic, and also the fast improving prospects of the AWP ......................not befor time for us long suffering share holders.........GLA.......................
It's my favourite part too :)
I like this bit: " ..... If you have access to the UK (London) stockmarket you can buy shares in Tanfield Group (LSE:TAN). They own about a third of the stock in Smith Electric, and the Tanfield price is currently rising strongly in anticipation of the Nasdaq ipo, which will be the biggest electric vehicles ipo since Tesla .... "
yes i think that is Manganese Bronze is it? i do know Taxis;s and Buses is one of the reasons Thomas Meltzer has switched his base from Germany to London to work on these subjects, i also know that Proton have had discussions with Manganese, there is also the possibilty of River Taxis;s. ATB (G)
Have any of you guys heard of the 2 hydrogen prototype taxis that hav been built by MNGS in conjuction with another partner, using governmental grants? highly exciting area for me, with analysts predicting that 2017 could be the year they will be more widely feasiable?
I am working on it believe me!! ATB (G)
Hi Mio, Been speaking to PPS today and they have Just ordered a Newton Truck from SEV as part of the Range Extender Trials, The Newton is the Higher Payload Vehicle produced by SEV, and a big seller in the US, Proton said, (We need to install the RX on a truck to move the project into its next stage. It needs to be our prototype because it’s our technology rather than us developing it as a project for someone else) As said before PPS has the Technology and Sev/sevus has the Vehicles/Orders ATB (G)
Mr Steven Ball is back in!! http://telegraph.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/201103101350147281C.html?epic=TAN
A quick trip might not be on the cards. There will be waves of buyers and sellers depending on whether those clued in have money and hand and whether those not clued in sell out. Might take a series and rise of falls over a reasonable time period to see us hit where we should be. We both know well enough by now that the market doesn't always get it right.
If I can quote myself from page 6 (currently so 6 back) "This values our 32.2% stake at $54.5m or £36.3m". Given other companies it wouldn't seem unfair to place a speculative £10-20m value on Tanfields core business. This should put us at £46.3-56.3m, which give a share price of 49.3p to 59.9p. So value wise we should be in the 50s, no doubt about that. What will be interesting is if the value of SEV via us goes up given that we are now likely to be the only route into the company before a potentially lucrative IPO. If the first round of expansion goes well, perhaps we'll see some progress in the SP here based on the value of our stake being lucrative if an IPO does happen.
Press Release pack, although it says financial/annual report, well worth taking a look. http://www.protonpowersystems.com/financial-annual-report.html ATB (G)

Good bit of information there. Looks good: Range of operation ≥ 200 km Hydrogen refuelling in 5 minutes The good thing about this idea would be that it could be offered alongside. If you want a general run around truck, most will do, but people will pay a bit extra for distance. This could do well. Would be interesting to know how many times you have to refuel with hydrogen each 200km as presumably then the battery goes. I don't think it can make or break the company, but it might add another useful line so you never have to say "oh, we don't actually go that far in one trip".
As for competition!! i am not aware of any one who has developed the stack to fit a truck the size of the Newton with the ability to equal or exceed the PPS Range Extender, also L-3 communications has been working with PPS on something as well. All good stuff hey. Catch you later ATB (G)
Myo it depends on volume thats all i can say, i have asked the same questions and i get the same answer as i have gave you, thats not avoiding the question, but to release that info i presume would be price sensitive, you could always ask PPS they will always respond to you. ATB (g)
Sorry about the Typos, tired fingers lol ATB (G)
Hi Myo Cannot really compare because TAN has only survived because of SEV and PPS has had to sit in the background while all the Sh!!!t has been sorted out, but now hopefully with SEV?SEVUS their own entity, they will be able to push ahead with the business of producing vehicles and that should involve PPS, SEV/SEVUS has the orders PS has the Technology. Good luck with your investments. ATB (G)
Hi Myo Yes all the time and any info i get is never price sensitive and is always passed on to the PPS board. ATB (G)

Liberty looking to tie up with Modec http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/business/8898511.Electric_car_firm_considers_bid_for_second_rival/
my buy from 2 days ago looking strong now...yipeee! MNGS investor here, so know a little about TAN...GLA
Funny you mention the genes I've had the same opinion regarding the southern hemisphere and sport .. they always seem more competitive and mentally stronger. I've always put that down to the mentality (and mental strength) of the people who were prepared to take the risks of starting up in a land 1/2 way round the world.
It would be interesting to see how much interest TAN is generating in the US. A back door to gaining a stake in SEV before the IPO plus the Snorkel connection. SP moving up again wonder if SEV are going to make that announcement regarding new production facilities this afternoon.
