May the fourth be with you (and with SYN!!)
I'm happy it held where so is. We build from here from Tuesday.
That’s a different debate, still good enough for me ;)
Thin Google only goes on last trade.
Google shows up 0.41%, that’s good enough for me
Is it blue?
Nice with a blue finish before the long weekend. Have a good one.
Add to that, goi approval pertains to the business collaboration, not the specific project,
focus lies on ensuring that the partnership aligns with legal and regulatory requirements, promotes economic growth, and benefits both companies.
The GoI are approving the JV between an Indian Company and a Foreign Company, not the project infrastructure....
"There can't be an update until there is something to update with."
Are we to believe that after 3 months and with Mr Ashish Khare "spending time in Delhi to push the approval through as quickly as possible" ( I think we all got that email) that SYN have heard nothing from the approving Ministry/ regulator in the GoI ??
I don't buy that. My view is that SYN / Selan have been asked to do certain things (electrical boards as per tweet) and that it's taking time to complete the list of activities. Just my opinion of course
There can't be an update until there is something to update with.
Wolf "why would they be here if GOI approval wasn't happening in the near future"
Because they wanted to get ahead of themselves for whenever to GoI approval happens.
Without an update, we are just left in the dark and the share price will ultimately fall back with no news
Would say that take the tweet on what it mentions & that is a positive message on having everything in place for when ZGOI is confirmed.
The focus should be on the terms of the JV/Farm Out and its potential (significant) benefits that accue to SYN in the medium term of monitising Cambay ('Cambay PSC Eocene gas and gas condensate reservoir contains independently certified 2P gas reserves of 206 BCF (as at 1 June 2022)'). GOI approval will follow in due course.....
Roland is certainly, in my opinion, one of the good guys on AIM. I just think his technical abilities outshine his communication abilities. He's probably kicking himself (gently) for saying 'a matter of weeks' knowing the grief he has experienced in the past for making such statements and not delivering on time.
Whilst you'd like to think meeting Selan in London suggests something like the GoI approval is close. We just can't say conclusively due to the missed deadline prior.
My guess would be that, those in the know knew Selen's CEO and colleagues were in London and assumed GOI approval was forthcoming which moved the SP, however we now know it was for the work programme. Maybe I have more faith than others but why would they be here if GOI approval wasn't happening in the near future. Had a holding in this company longer than most and although Roland may not be the best with communications and timelines but I think he has done a good job thus far and this SP will catch a lot of people out when it finally delivers the value we have. GLA
Whatever the background of the tweet, Roland Wessel or Synergia are not the best communicators. They need to change that, because even with all the technical aspects they have to take care of, they can't always send their shareholders into absolute silence. This is unsettling and leads to bb participants writing emails directly to the Indian authorities. Which is not very smart and may cause further delays.
Spread .1215 /.1235 Halifax at moment . So many probably sells . The fact that they are, and holding is good news.
Fair enough view sausage. I agree it’s utmost frustrating, however as long as work on the work programme goes on alongside the wait, in the grand scheme of things shouldn’t really matter (too much).
At least Roland saved us some money by getting Selan to come to the UK, rather than Roland spending our money to fly out to India.
Whilst I agree that it is positive, I do feel the tweet was issued under pressure to respond to those emailing Roland about the GoI approval. This tweet, in my opinion, is merely to deflect from the near 3 months it's taking SYN to get the GoI approval.
Couldn’t agree more, at least to me, it clearly shows the (joint) commitment to make this happen pronto and not waste time on reaching the overall goal (production), while waiting for the green light.
When GOI does come through, as mentioned details on the work programme also be released will help s/p make it over 0.20 & hopefully nearer 0.25 then the former. Maybe even slightly higher.
'Roland Wessel met with Selan’s CEO and colleagues in London this week to discuss the upcoming work program in order for an early commencement after GOI approval.'
Looks like someone needs to go back to school to finish off their reading lessons Zag....
Taken at face value this is a positive tweet imo
The so-called "joke tweet" could have been posted on the bb by a comedian to present himself personally as super-smart. As one bb participant ultimately wrote: “Each bb seems to attract its idiots. I think we've found ours….” :-)
