Has anyone got to hand the current depth of production shaft and how far in the tunnel is.
Thanks in advance. GLA
There are a number of workers on the facebook investor group who post pictures from inside the operation.
However, one individual claimed there is a flood issue (part of the acquifier) and wilton has ground to a halt because of it.
Hopefully they can deal with it.
Cherokee I have been informed from a reliable source that they did encounter a problem after hitting the water table. I understand this is not a big issue and was expected. It is not of great concern. If anyone else is in the know im sure we would like to hear. Meanwhile we are drifting downstream here. GLA
Do you have a link for that 'cos it's not showing on my FB...?!?
I wouldn’t take the word of an anonymous poster on Facebook as truth
I mean they're literally not anonymous are they?
If it’s the one I read on Monday - It’s on Sirius Minerals Investor Group not the Serious one. It’s under a post ‘Are you still digging or is the shop shut’. A comment from a guy who is leaving today. It was one of those threads that I read but thought it was a bit odd he was posting that if he worked there. But I guess if he’s leaving today he doesn’t care - which is what he said. I’m sure the way things are at the moment if it was a serious problem we would have heard about it.
Thanks bobster.
Who us your reliable source? A worker or investor?
Contractor on site. Still working hard by all accounts.
Not sure if it’s any help ... for those who know the area.. I saw STRABAG doing some overground tests just off A174 Kirkleatham / Yearby this week .
Possibly monitoring what’s going on underground .
Not sure what that would be in a straight line from a Wilton ... I’d guess about 1.5 mile if they were directly overhead the TBM ???
It’s a strange old world Lifeonmars. I was in Whitby all day yesterday and had a cracking day so stayed over at the Forest and Vale in Pickering. I got chatting in the dining room and bar to locals. Most of them know of locals/family working on some of the sites but know nothing of the progress of any of them. The only bit of anything was someone saying the “moley thing is cracking on a bit” so nothing constructive really.
Law of holes. The first law of holes, or the law of holes, is an adage which states that "if you find yourself in a hole, stop digging". Digging a hole makes it deeper and therefore harder to get back out, which is used as a metaphor that when in an untenable position, it is best to stop carrying on and exacerbating the situation.
Other way of looking at it is, “we’ve come this far we may as well carry on”. Full speed ahead is the only speed to work at. Having said that it’s probably why I’m knackered now.
The law of holes ?
What if your work is in a cemetery
Bellers ... lots of big toys and stuff now in show at Lockwood where as once over the hedges blanched everything out .. would need to be big hedges now .
I’d do some photos if I could put them somewhere for people to see but don’t do instagram etc
Me neither. I don’t do instagram or facebook. I have a fear that my kids will watch my every move. I never got any info from my mate from Saltburn. He has a pal who was a rig worker who is now on one of the sites. It’s an information vacuum. I’ll ring him and give him to see if he actually remembered to ask the guy.
Bellers,
You are becoming our B.B super sleuth.
The new Hercule Poirot. ; )
My best one is to come yet. However I’m taking Gertfrobes advice and wiring my mouth shut until I’ve been because I need to do a bit more research before I embark on this one. If it comes off I’ll never better it. :-)
It’s your typing fingers that’s the problem, and the red sweater.
It’s usually my gob that’s the issue Gertfrobe but I take your point. My typing hand is not helping. ;-)

Mystery and intrigue.
Just don’t be getting yourself arrested ; )
Ha ha, Stanley, don’t got there! Squeaky clean until August coming through Ibiza airport coming home.....positive drug swab!!!! I was in a state of shock and was in a proper tacking! Turned out to be a medication I take thats a recreational drug in Spain when taken in larger doses. Zopiclone. Thought I was getting locked up. My bloody heart was all over the place....and sweat! :-(
Gosh we would have always wondered ‘where Bellers had gone’ - if you can get out of that you can def be our chief spy!
I got out of it Fred after a luggage recovery from the bowels of the airport, a stripsearch, a second swab and a hunt through my I phone for my repeat prescription order from the docs website. Also a urine sample and questioning. Took about an hour. They told me to bring prescription copy next time and also carry them on me in the boxes with my name on. When I said that I don’t take them in the day they are sleeping tablets I thought he may smile.....er no.
Hello Fred16-I posted earlier this month with my heart on my sleeve.
I’ve followed plenty of posters on here-some with v.good technical knowledge.
I offered my phone no and current financial position on SXX-a few of the kiddycats on here figured I was a kidder.I’m 1.8M@25p-very hard...
I worked in coal mines as a young man. I’m an electrical engineer and have been involved in mining /agricultural/food production projects over many years. The reason why I’m addressing you is simply your faith -my tel no is on this forum-I admire your belief.
To the rest of the posters-give me an OECD project that has the engineering/ mining/agricultural potential of SXX -EVERY and I mean EVERY OECD want this type of project.
This forum is of course an anonymous protective environment for traders and agnostics.
As has been said before-kids and grandkids future?
Engineering added value?
