Haha - I didn’t notice your other post and couldn’t work out who Simone was! I ended up concluding that that was just something else I hadn’t grasped!
That should be “someone” bloody auto correct!
Hi Fred
I have said the same. Simone as astute as he is would not gamble on a single option in this market. I would be astonished if he hasn’t spoken again to the politicians about possible other ways forward.
It would look really bad for Boris after all his talk about “energising the north”, if Sirius were to go belly up.

From reading the posts on here it seems that the big institutions not only hold 10s if not 100s of millions of shares they are also the biggest shorter's. What better way to make massive profits then to win on the shorts triggered by pulling the bond issue and then winning again when they sell at the second issue. Pulling the bond sale placated the big institutions and gave them the money to buy to the bonds to reap what they have sown
Agree with you, I think the fed will cut interest in September and again in October , the trade dispute is less volatile at the moment trump tone is less aggressive towards china,
the government need to give the north some positive news now HS2 is under review so to spin attention away why not mention the positive impact the mine will have on the north east and the country's economy .I think the bond buyers are in place but as you say what percentage of interest needs to be sorted .
I agree as well - on FB it’s been slightly questioned as to whether the build might be slowed down - I think it’s all full steam ahead bec he’s got plan A which he’s confident off but if necessary I’m sure he’s got Plan B to fall back on
You may be right there playitcool. Why give money away. I think he knows the markets. Got to give him credit for that.
Maybe the bonds being pulled was a sign of confidence by CF and the board. Maybe they knew they had enough interest, only they couldn’t get the terms they believed they would get if they waited. Maybe they felt they could get 12% and not the 13.5% offered at the time. If you know you can sell the bonds in the window you have, why sell them when the market is down. Be patient, wait and sell when the market is back up again. Somebody desperate, believing it was their only option, may have sold at 13.5%.
