The sun will rise. The sun will set. Everything else is just a bet!
I hope my shares go up in value. Always the optometrist. Should have gone to specsavers
What is expected to happen on the 1st?
AGM on the 31st at 1pm. Roll on the 1st June, Boom
Thank you kindly.both of you for answering so promptly.
Indeed, will our BoD want anything too exciting to happen before then. I doubt it. Steady as she goes. Prost SL
Week commencing 25th June. Its the week beginning the last monday in the quarter
5 or 6 trading days to the agm now? Quarterly update June right?
A couple of weeks in this range so i can get my next pension contribution in would be great
Thought
Have you thiught about a long weekend in holland?
I’ll be happy for a few flat days as well
Why is another flat day a bad thing? We're in a higher range than last month, and traditionally the middle of the 3 months for the quarterly update has been the lowest.
Morning all. Thanks for the few answers. I should have got to the point I suppose! I fully understand a CFD and trading in that arena. My point was about finding the tightest spread to explore the concept of day trading SXX via CFD or spread betting. I understand there are much better instruments to day trade but I have such a detailed idea of how Sirius can move in a day due to watching it every day for around four years now. Of course to make this worthwhile I need to be in a fee free environment and a 0.1 spread would make my day! With .38 generally the spread it’s not so viable. And yes I understand the risk of dealing on margin! Not my best idea but one I would be happy to examine. I’ll put my hands up to saying that my SXX holding is currently a life changing prospect for me but a couple of hundred quid here and there day trading would be very nice too. I don’t have the time to research many things to the same level and I hate chart theory so I’m not really looking to day trade main stream instruments. Thanks anyhoo.
I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect we may see another flat day today. It feels like the SP is treading water at the moment. I wonder if the members of Sneaton Parish Council were given any juicy snippets when they visited the site yesterday.
Would be good about now. Before the share price drifts
Investing in a derivative of a share such as a CFD (contract for difference) is not the same as investing in the share. You own a contract that speculates on the movement of the share price only (like placing a bet at a bookies, you don't own part of the horse when you place the bet) - the film the Big Short gives a pretty good explanation and where that can all end up as assets do not back up the value of the derivative contract. Of course the leverage is greater and thus profits 'and losses' are also magnified. Don't confuse a CFD based upon the SXX share price as having anything to do with SXX the company, its a gamble on the share price movement only made between yourself and someone who is speculating on the opposite outcome.
Good morning, Vin. I generally trade Sirius using CFDs (and theyre simply indispensable for bed and breakfasting or bed and ISA), however, with DMA the spread on the order book actually works in your favour because you can buy on the bid and sell on the offer. Can't help you with spread bets though as I've never placed a spread bet in my life. Cheers, per ardua ad astra
Anyone from sneaton parish go to woodsmith last night... anything to glee from the walk around?
I have substantial % of my SXX in CFD. It's with IG.
Eurofox, seems like this is an area where you have some considerable expertise: can you please elaborate on why you think that stops are easily taken out on this type of share? I would interested to learn more. Much appreciated, LITC
using spread betting on this share is a good way to loose money because stops are so easily taken out.
That would do nicely.
Just a little shake by the MM's today most probably trying a acquire some stock for the move up to 35p + hopefully by end of this week/early next week.
Called it more or less spot on today. Can't see anything really perking up the SP before the AGM now, but you never know.
