I have no will power and am back. Too much is happening.
The D.T. Business Section P. 4, today has a sizeable comment on SXX Nothing particularly new but some hopes.
The more comment the better.
Finishes with Ann Turley, MP for Redcar ( I am not of her political persuasion but would back her all the way ) lambasting the Government for not stepping up to the plate. She says " The Government owes everyone in the N.East an apology " Too right they do.
For all their bluster on Northern Powerhouse, I would have to look long and hard to find any better and more deserving project for Gov. backing than SXX and the adjacent Teesside developments with Ben Hauchen and the Wilton and redundant TaTa steel site. 5 years down the line and they will be loading the Treasury at a rate of £2 Billion a year. Maybe another cash flow tunnel is needed.
Just a thought for the poor East Midlands floods. Could SXX not ship some mining extracted spoil down the road to build up the flood barriers. It has to be derived from somewhere.
Hi tiggerman,
Sorry to hear of your suspension. A lot of people here don’t want good news. Though it is still to be seen that yours was/is indeed factual. I think it isn’t but doesn’t deter from your best intention which I believe was very good willed.
Re Anna Turley, I’ve been in a. It of dialogue with her recently. I have also given her, Houchen etc a bit of food for thought on the IPA decision process.
Regardless of political preference, her support for and belief in this project cannot be questioned.
I hope she wins her seat again for she will undoubtedly give this project her all.
“the demand for low-quality polyhalite has been massively overhyped,

Good job Woodsmith is sitting in some high grade stuff then eh Skier?
Low quality polyhalite lol. What a tit you are
Scotman,- I have literally just pressed the send button on a Courteous and supportive e-mail to Anna Turley, showing support
and encouragement. This is not strictly a political football, it is about the future of the UK and more specifically Yorkshire and the N. East, and jobs and income into the Treasury, and global food production to feed the world, and.....and.....and.....
It owes around $500,000,000.00 to creditors, ....
YOU FORGOT THE BIT ABOUT - it will contribute hundreds of billions to the UK economy over the next one hundred years - and billions to the Local economy- not to mention thousands of highly paid high skilled jobs for generations upon generations to come ... to a region of our country that desperately needs them !!

If tango man keeps.keeps his month shut in the white house ,and stops trying to be big man,the world will get easier credit.
skier 1 ,your on a losing battle here .mine going to get built.
Scotman
Believe me , it was factual. I would never , ever, inject fake news for nefarious purpose. But that is now all history.
I enjoy the board BUT not skiing.
Mine may or may not get built, but current shareholders will be most likely wiped out. Government will not care who owns the mine.
I am afraid shareholders are on losing side.
Tiggerman - fwiw I heard the very same thing from someone who knows some of the workforce, saying they are quietly confident but also saying contractors have been asked how quickly they would be able to re-man up. It makes sense now we’ve heard the update. Even if it’s not going to happen immediately they need to know the practicalities of it. Plus I agree - although I have to go skiing - I don’t think much of it either
