Great results and the share price drops 19p at opening. You have to wonder!
Fantastic set if results and great news re the div Miss g :-)))
Interims tomorrow. Here's to a good set of figures.
.... Hopefully a further climb. Miss G :-)
Guys (n Gals) The feb finals looked great - as do the consensus SP forecasts (889) But apart from Revenue the forecast growth numbers for this year look horrible(Last/Current): PEG: 0.3 -2.6 REV: -7.40% 1453.40% PBT: 83.20% -49.30% EPS: 74.00% -9.40% Grateful if you can explain the disparity Cheers LM
It's interesting.... But provably in thing more than co incidence... But I find this SP more or less tracks exactly with SPD... It has done for months. I hold both and they sit one below the other on my quick picks list, so I see it every day. Weird! Just saying.... Miss G :-))
Great hardworking team in a growing company what's not to like?
Thank you Reff. I agree. I like this business because I have experience of them from my time with Lloyds .... There are many people in the very high echelons of lloyds who personally hold this share ... Just wish they would sort out the website... Now that it is in their control to do so!! miss G :-))
My target us £10 by end of this year.... But actually I see my holding this for years! :-))) Miss G.
Reff- I could be misinterpreting RNS but looks like prior to 15 Jan. 2014-Blackrock had 25,903,672 shares, then on 15 Jan. did a CFD contract for 2229 shares which brought them above 5% threshold for voting rights, then on 19 May they unwound the CFD, bringing them back down under 5% with the original amount of 25,903,672. In the scheme of things-no big deal. But agree that I too wonder about the some of these investment fund disposals. As for charting, agree can be self fulfilling, use charting more to try to understand crowd behaviour rather than for prediction. I guess, whatever works.
Reff- and BlackRock- a nice concert party like the old days. On Fri. the 717p hit the 200 day moving average-that should hold.
Reff- Saw this site-thought worth taking a look- http://www.4-traders.com/ST-JAMESS-PLACE-PLC-9590172/
Reff-point taken about LLoyds sales-thanks. A bit more about Numis reiteration of rating-maybe there are too many buy ratings for STJ(no one left to buy)? http://tickerreport.com/banking-finance/217008/st-jamess-place-plc-rating-reiterated-by-numis-securities-ltd-stj/
Clarification- "someone is dumping on the stock"-forcing the sp down.
BTW- chartwise-this sp can go down to about 715 before we get any kind of bounce or oversold situation. Just my opinion.
Reff- No disrespect- but this sell off has nothing to do with algorithmic platforms. The volume, as I said, has increased enormously and the trades are 'chunky' not just small pi. My guess-as I haven't seen any downgrades on sp or other news, & haven't heard of any probs, is that the supposed sale of 21% by Lloyds is maybe closer than we think. Someone is dumping stock, i.e., hitting bids-this is not just liquidation.
Thanks Reff-didn't realise went ex-d already. Volume picking up a bit. But all small trades-is that usual? Notice the 2 trades around noon-100 some thousand each-can't see them now-wondering what those were. Agree seems overreaction-all fundamentals seem fine-have not heard any changes last few months-I invest with them & very happy-well run organisation. Did see that valuation was a bit high-over 20 p/e on last yr earnings.
Anyone hear any news today? Share goes ex-div tomorrow so that can't be it. Volume on the light side. Anything happen at AGM yesterday? Any thoughts welcome-thanks.
Morning sweetie! Lots to do today.... no time to post...! Hope things going well for you Miss G ;-))
... Good news keeps on coming. Miss g :-)))
Yip.... Ratings all in the region of £9-10.... Moving up again... miss G :-))
No Mr TO, not there. But I did put some of my ISA funds into SPD the other day.... At 8.10. I had sold a couple of months ago too early at around 7.60... Think they will have a good year with the World Cup etc.... Looking for £10.00 minimum. Trying to rebalance my portfolio away for resources ... Will hold WRES until 1.75 ish. STJ is a long term hold. miss G :-))
