George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.

As you will see, almost 24% is unlisted or private equity holdings-thus more difficult to value on a regular basis-besides being an emerging market-good reasons for the discount.
Mango- Be careful taking LSE figs-check this-

Read Share Watch(Aug., 2020) favourable write-up of company(bottom line-buy on 2 day break above 430p). Read previous chats-helpful-thanks to all. Initially cautious-thinking effect on Burford(& others)-different situation but once the rumours abound, always difficult for companies to rebound no matter how good their case is. Looking at shareholders-30% of float in public-very thin & wide spread to deal. Also see Moulton Goodies(Jersey)holds 27%-large holding-anyone know if there is any connection with the board or just an arms length holding? Own FRP Advisory-like the sector(but not very optimistic about the economy).
Apologies Arsenal-special divi ex today/ 13 Jun was for final divi
Stock went ex-dividend 10.15 cents on 13 June.
Hey Slippery-
Agree, thought NMC "immune" from market indigestion-but note volume has been chunky last few days. Looking at trades, seems that "mom & pop"(small holders) might be liquidating en masse-they're definitely spooked. Can't find any news anywhere. Good luck.
Slippery-
Agree with you. Someone on ADVFN suggested that they might be
walking this down so as to price a share sale/fund raising maybe for a larger acquisition(notice the disclaiming of an Indian add-on came out very quickly).
Have noticed that a number of high flyers/growth stocks have been sold off recently-maybe general revaluation going on-expectations of higher rates, slower growth, etc.
See this for some background: https://www.ft.com/content/6bb33298-4172-11e8-93cf-67ac3a6482fd Since GS is selling the shares to institutions-that offloads the risk of holding the shares altho because of the ceiling & floor caps, they are still at risk of volatility in the share price. So, BRS still participates in some of the vol of the shares, basically they're offloading 7 million shares(there's no indication that they will get the shares back). But like a typical collar, there's no loan here. My take-Shetty thinks there's limited upside here & wants to diversify a bit. Does this disguise an outright share sale? Maybe-but it still hit the share price. Anyone any thoughts?
Not sure what everyone else is smoking-but it's always such a delight when I see a company's share price sell off & then they announce a placing. Please don't tell me that the two are not coincidental. Yes the e-gaming business will grow but we have to get there first & it's certainly not going to be in a straight line. As all of us can readily see, would strongly suggest any new investors NOT to reach for the shares but just wait until they have a share issuance. This will be a regular occurrence, so get used to it. And I don't really think it's amazing news because as a shareholder, you've just been diluted again and again and again!
The following is from the interim results report- "The reduction in profit before tax in the first six months of 2017 is the result of lower valuation gains due to property valuation yield compression experienced in 2016." Can someone translate this for me, along with the ramifications of the above statement. Thanks-
Slippery- Agree-have bought some here also. Maybe there had been some "loose" stock around that had to be distributed-as you probably have noticed-volume is generally lite & lots of small shareholders-so brokers can mark down price easily & create some panic selling. BTW-my daughter lives in Dubai & anecdotally has said that they have a good reputation in the UAE.
Check this- Looks like zero sum move- http://www.reuters.com/article/emirates-healthcare-idUSL8N1JS08V Am surprised by sudden sharp drop-on light volume-seems like a markdown obviously besides soem indigestion with rise in stock. Any other news? Nice sale slipperyslope.
