As a farly new shareholder massively impressed with the CEO of this company and indeed the company itself. As one who was involved in negotiating high value govt contracts in the Middle and Far East I know how difficult in can be, particularly in getting them over the line. Post the call this morning I have added.
I urge all shareholders & potential investors to watch this mornings webinar and unlike most Aim companies I believe it can be taken at face value. Their AGMs are second to none and give clear insight into the direction of the company. So attend if at all possible. There was I think 5 years ago a ‘jam today’ AGM. It’s only taken another 5 years…….but who’s counting.
As Eric Morecambe once said they are all the right notes just not necessarily in the right order. Over the years Simon has projected pretty accurately what SRT could achieve in a developing global market he just hasn’t been remotely close with the timescale. I believe SRT are now on the verge of a seriously successful business. Unfortunately like so many UK companies they will no doubt be bought out before they realise their full value.
I've said before that Simon's webcasts often give a post broadcast SP boost - but now we seem to be getting a pre boost! There is a possibility that the market is waking up to the enormity of the last few RNSs - about time too!!!
I reckon SRT is set up to deliver as the bulk of the contractual work is done by local firms. They will of course need more support from the UK but to help this I understand the servers are now pre-built here and shipped out complete which helps to make it quicker at their end.
Looking forward to tomorrow - should be really interesting.
The challenge for SRT's management team now will be moving from the predominantly sales based focus to one balancing sales and project delivery. I'm sure they are up to it, but it will be interesting to see how they cope.
Pay attention at the back!
24th May 2023 7:00 am RNS Live Webcast 8:00am Wednesday 31st May 2023
;-)
I guess with the new distributer agreement plus the major huge contract and the 24 Mill contract it's been pretty hectic. I hope Simon does do a webcast as he not only manages to flesh out the bones of the RNS's but often gives the SP a little boost to boot.
Simon hasn't done a webcast since last november. Too busy with orders or more news to come?
Could well be right Hardboy. Our revenue this year could be in the region of 80 Mill plus. We should get say 2/3 of the 24 Mill contract announced on the 3rd. say 16 Mill. Then there's the trebling of the dealer network plus Nexus. So from 12 Mill to say 20 Mill. As the new £146 Mill contract is now signed We could get a couple of milestone payments - say 40-45 Mill. Then there's ongoing stuff anyway plus the payment that went back from last year.
I did previously say we could get a divi this year but on reflextion perhaps not as there will be a lot of cash tied up in extra stock and perhaps hold ups in production due to chip shortages. However next financial year will be completely different , maybe the next interims?
Doing some very rough calcs (85% of contract paid over 2 years, typical project margin, no of shares etc. to get an EPS figure) I reckon yesterday's raise was way under done and the share price should be nearer £1.
Not expecting any dividend announcements for at least a two years.
A good start to a growing business - it’s a longterm investment but could now grow quicker in the medium term. Only problem I see is of any potential unrest in countries we maybe looking at. Growth revenues hopefully will multiply year on year and at this stage will add more at 53p to my SIP if they ease tomorrow. Good luck to all genuine holders.
And they're obviously not bothered about confidentiality...

Google translates as
"Bakamla RI officially uses the National Maritime Security System (NMSS), cooperation with the SRT Marine System PLC.
In short, NMSS is a system used to conduct real time supervision and monitoring in Indonesian waters and Indonesian jurisdiction."
;->
Indonesia apparently. That's the country with over 17,000 islands.....
Truro, "Can't help feeling that this is the year we 've been waiting for - enough profits to declare a divi and get the II's on board. The SP will be transformational." - Completely agree. For years they've been struggling to make annual turnover of £10-20m. The current contract with the growing transceiver business was going to ease things comfortably above that; but this puts things in another league - and there is still a pipeline over £1b.
I'm not so optimistic about a dividend just yet, but that doesn't matter.
It will be interesting to see how management cope with the change from concentrating on chasing sales, to still chasing sales, but managing workload.
Any idea where the contract is?
I use RNS Alert.
Hard work and patience starting to pay back.
Any one found out how to subscribe notification of their RNS's as one can with many companies.
I've been trying to work out if we will get a milestone payment before September end. I think that because of the size of the contract my guess is no but in any case it will be a boost to our finances when it hits our account!
Can't help feeling that this is the year we 've been waiting for - enough profits to declare a divi and get the II's on board. The SP will be transformational.
Feels suspiciously like jam today. Well done Simon.
I sent the company an e mail of congratulations. Simon replied within 12 minutes. This is what you call shareholder engagement!
Game Changer.
I may open that jar of jam today!
It's an ill wind, etc...
As highlighted in SRT's 3 May RNS topical (Nordstream) reference to .. "potential threats to critical infrastructure such as undersea pipelines...", these vulnerabilities are getting a little more airtime...
hxxps://thespectator.com/topic/americas-undersea-lifelines-cables-fiber-optic
It is out of sight and usually out of mind, but recent events are forcing Americans to focus on the security of a vast network of undersea cables that the nation depends upon.
In early February 2022, cables connecting Taiwan to its Matsu Islands off the coast of China were cut in what appears to be an act of sabotage that Taipei later ascribed to Chinese vessels. It took nearly two months for the internet to be up and running again, highlighting the importance of a largely ignored element of a country’s critical infrastructure.
etc, etc.
I've just polished my rose colored specs and re read a couple of recent RNS's.
23/03/23 Announcement of £145 Mill contract over 2 years. Even if delayed until the Autumn we should still get 6 months this year, say £40 Mill. The software is the expensive bit.
03/04/23 3000 new distributers so trebling the distributor network. With the imminent launch of Nexus (possibly the reason why we got the deal) the challenge will be to keep up with orders !! Come on flex you can do it!
03/05/23 Existing customer new 1 year contract. £24 mill from summer. Even if it goes back to the autumn we should get the bulk say 13 -14 Mill this year.
Now; our MC is at £80 mill. Will our revenue hit that this current year - possibly. Will the revenue beat that next year - you betcha!! I'm filling my boots.
This latest RNS is the latest in a slew of positive updates with little SP reaction. Time for an SRT Webcast perhaps - some 6 months since the last one.
