today's update looks pretty positive.certainly so for 2022, although it's understandably a tad cautious for 2023. hopefully positive today for s/p.
We may have an 11 month trading update b4 xmas.
There have been such in the last 2 years 9.12.20 and 16.12.21
fair question, but with the growing importance of ESG considerations, i am hoping that whatever the cost, it will be one well spent.
Would have been helpful to hear the estimated costs ….
Added more yesterday.
interesting RNS this morning.pleased to see SRC being very proactive in this area.helps to reinforce confidence in the quality of the management, imo.
Thank you for your question. However, we have not disclosed an investment in Sigma Roc PLC.
I am guessing this means the investment is not significant to Pershing at the moment.
Their call focused on the big holdings.
+1 to that, curious what they feed back. I would guess partly prompted by the positives discussed in the Q3 call, in particular recession resilience and Nordkalk reorganising progress.
As an investor in Pershing, I noticed they bought circa 6% holding. That's quite a vote of confidence.
There is a Pershing Q3 call next week and I will table a question on this. Let's see if they will reveal why they took this punt.
< The big boys don’t like smaller and indebted companies in a recession.>
Pershing don't seem to mind!
Maybe Blackrock have now stopped selling and driving down the share price. The big boys don’t like smaller and indebted companies in a recession.
The fundamentals and management here are outstanding and quality will win in the end.
modest increase by BGF investments.
Blackrock are continuing to exit their CFD position - down from a high of 11m shares in May this year to 6.5m today with 2.1m latest positions closed. Looks like some of the CFD's purchases may actually be coming from their overall long position. Good to see the positive impact flowing into an improving share price. SB
agreed .just seen the amendment.still apparently on track for production at beginning of next year,so same commercial impact(i assume),but careless wording.
So they only filed for the patent as opposed to have obtained the patent. Massive difference...!
A bit careless with the RNS this morning.
Not yet significant from a turnover perspective, but noteworthy nonetheless. Too many people live in coastal or estuary areas that will need defending from rising sea levels, so a green, concrete solution for an 'expanding' market can only be a good thing.
Select 2 m on the map below and see how most of The Netherlands disappears; parts of the East of the UK are also inundated:

doesn't seem to be a reach RNS,so presumably regarded as price sensitive.happy to be corrected if wrong.
sizeable purchase by the coe of Nordkalk.good to see.
good to see.
I bought back in the other week. Nothing out today to cause concern. Seen MV and GP present these numbers with the slides on the website. From what they are saying and doing, I believe that they have got a good grasp of what is required to steer the company through the next year. Such as night working to take advantage of cheaper energy. The debt is manageable. Definitely worth a listen. https://sigmaroc.com/ (click on the easy to find link)
solid update. need to look at it as a whole, but pleased to note the comments on performance enhancement focus, improving EITDA of acquired businesses by 19%.
On first scan no need to get excited. Going to hold.
Yes, it was positive commentary from Ibstock, but no numbers (at least that I could see) on the Q3 or full year expectations.
I'm a Breedon shareholder so look across the sector company updates for some insight to 'bottom line' performance. Something beyond the confidence surveys, ONS measures etc. Useful as they are.
I'm looking forward to Sigmaroc's update on Thursday. I hope it is positive, but I'm confident Max will at least give us a Q3 revenue number - something to work with. Anything else would be a bonus.
positive trading update from ibstock today.
Doubt they would have organised the presentation if they were going to put out a bad update on the same day, so I am reasoning that the update should at least be ok. Bought a few more today.
