The well results were above the pre-drill expectation and initial production rates have exceeded 10,000 barrels of oil per day.
Mitch Flegg, Chief Executive of Serica Energy, commented:
"Including the Tailwind Acquisition assets, we have an exciting investment programme of value-adding activities throughout 2023 and 2024 which has started with the Gannet GE-04 well being brought onto production. We are delighted with the strong initial results.
This additional production means that the Triton hub is now producing at gross rates not seen for the last 10 years. This performance is a credit to the outstanding work completed by the Tailwind team, their contractors, and Dana Petroleum (E&P) Limited, the Triton operator. We look forward to welcoming the Tailwind team to Serica on completion of the acquisition which is expected next month."

Good news, the share price will probably drop!
On the plus side employees will have more money to spend in the wider economy. I'm not sure what effect that will have inflation though. The wft for me and others who hold Serica share's from the early days within a isa could end up being the least of our problems.inmv
Why the WFT is here to stay ..... pay for public sector budget deficit, not for Cost Of Living (energy bills) per se :

European natural gas prices are now at levels seen eighteen months ago. So as myself and many other posters have posted why hasnt HMG put a floor on this tax. Even more disturbing is why hasnt the NORTH SEA OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY been more vocal and lobyed politicians and the press???
Could it be that BP and Shell are the winners here in terms of paying little tax due to more favourable tax regines overseas. Just think we can import all that lovely Lng from the states and guitar who pay little or no tax with our own majors having a stake in it.
Way to go little britain were getting. I just hope that we dont decide to create our own car industry again. Maxi, mini metro springs to mind.
I was only asking Banbury…no need to snap now.
The latest fink tank is now saying.
Hmg should tax o and g ninety eight percent. Then subsidise the purchase of footy clubs. Way to go GB. You have just earned Frank Baxter. Paper weight.
As for mercuria their website reads quite well. So not quite sure why we were not required as a whole.maybe someone could answer that
I have officially reported this company to the FCA .

In my view their must now be some some pi swiss investors. So what is or your thoughts with this .
ob es Ihnen gefällt oder nicht
Meiner Meinung nach müssen es jetzt einige Pi-Swiss-Investoren sein. Also, was ist oder Ihre Meinung dazu.
que vous l'aimiez ou non
À mon avis, il doit maintenant y avoir des investisseurs pi suisses. Alors, qu'est-ce que c'est ou ce que vous en pensez.
te guste o no
En mi opinión, ahora debe haber algunos inversores pi suizos. Entonces, ¿cuál es o sus pensamientos con esto.
The big reveal = PIs have had to bend over and take one for the BoDs to save our jobs, thanks for taking the pain....happy days
If there isn't some amazing big reveal then who, in God's name, would actually defend this so called deal?
On all metrics it was absolutely appalling.
Tailwind was barely worth the debt it was holding, let alone actually paying anything extra for it.
To give cash as well as 29% of Serica is just so insane, if there isn't some amazing surprise forthcoming then shareholders have been totally and utterly sh@fted.
Everybody but you Norma and General Levy.
Either a reveal or we have been sold down the river
At face value the deals awful. You've closed your mind to it your perogative . Just let the 90% on here who think it's awfull and their must be a reveal debate it. Surely not to much to ask ?
Who says or thinks there will be a “big reveal”?

I think it runs a little more deeper than that. The below link from fox news is worth a read inmo. Basically in a clumsy way the UK is gradually closing down its own Energy supplies whilst supporting other nations such as the the U.S. The report is basically saying that it is better to buy gas from the U.S rater than a less enviromental friendly nations as whatever happens we still require oil and gas. So by taxing our own industry to oblivion we will be purchasing from other states such as the U.S. or a less environmental friendly nation. So in summary wouldnt it have been more prudent to secure our own industry first rather than destroying it.

what this "big reveal" could be?
On what appears to be one of the worst deals in the history of the stock market, I'm struggling to think of what it could be.
A few hundred million that Tailwind had in the bank that we didn't know about? Tailwind production figures actually turn out to be 20k boepd higher than they were letting on?
Anyone else got any ideas?
GS are long then!
Enquest shareholders are feeling the same as us!

It seems that to survive you must announce a bumper dividend and buyback scheme or you are trashed.

Interesting that Kistos is much higher up the table and SQZ are at the bottom but still a good sign
Kistos Holdings (375p) 160p 68.6p +133% 136p
.
.
Serica Energy (257p) 119p 96.4p +24% 133p
I t may not feel like it currently whilst the deal is being finalised, however, SQZ is in the top 20 upgrades listed in IC

Not necessarily. Each holding is sized in a portfolio based on its risk-adjusted prospects. If they regard it as cheap, they don’t just constantly load up.
If the big pls know something we don't surely they would be buying at this discounted price. Makes no sense to me so far but got everything crossed hoping our BOD are straight.
Refer to my previous on this. Down to interpretation and imagination (nod to NewK’s grand plan) not information per se. We all had the same info but took different views. I remain very content as a long-term investor. I don’t need to see the share price appreciate in a matter of weeks or months. It’s still 10x the level at which I bought it, so happy to wait.
