Isn't the PME because they are having trouble matching buyers with sellers? If it's because they can't get sellers at a given price, that is positive and if they can't get buyers that is a negative.
Or have I got it wrong?
I put half that in catching the falling knife chasing my losses. Foolish but easily done. Still average 20p ish JB
Ian, in no way is this meant as a criticism or to rub your nose in it.
I am simply astonished that someone put 1/2 million quid into this.
that's a huge amount of money.
short of a lottery win it would take me many many years to save that, and I am paid extremely well by most standards.
I had no idea people had that sort of cash to put into aim stocks.
good luck.
for the record I think we are massively undervalued at today's sp even without further exploration.
Gasbag- thanks for your kind response, good luck with your future investments and hope you make a recovery on your capital loss, all the best.
Ian
Ian - even the popcorn was suspect- I only went for the boat trip and to see the color of the mans eyes not having met him or been to previous events. I was not impressed and washed my hands well after shaking his wet fish like hand. You can tell a lot from a persons handshake! It turned out to be the most expensive popcorn I've ever eaten! Like you dispite the signs I thought it was all possible at the next drill! Hung on until recently and then sold half my considerable investment and invested elsewhere - what a difference to see blue each day after years of red. Slowly hoping to get back my investment, not again to touch anything JP is involved with. He makes me vomit! Look forward to seeing him in court.
Gasbag
Thank you Ian_. I would like to think you will get back some of your hard-earned too. In my wilder speculation, if SOU retained 23% of the horst and managed to discover the same amount of gas again through exploration, I could see it being worth 40p. A long shot that I have not dwelt on, but not totally beyond the bounds.
I hope it works out well in the end for you PS200306, good luck.
Just did my last averaging down. All the way from 95p to 25p now. Still more than six times the current share price. And I have way, WAY more of these tarnished tickets than I ever planned to in a million years. I am betting on the horst gas being worth 12p to Sound assuming we end up with 14%. That leaves me 50% down with a vague chance of doing better. Painful, but not as much as a total loss (which still can't be ruled out).
And another Price Monitoring Extension! haha
Cheers Jones,
ALB
Price Monitoring Extension
Looks good. Might even get above 4p today - lets see how it comes out the auction
Must admit, both my dad and best mate neatrly lumped in on my advoce, on numerous occasions, thank god they didnt...
im not in big, thank god, but ive been here 6 years now so still feel it and had plans in my head what i was going to do with the upside... nevermind... must admit, might throw in some more at the 3/4p level to average down... but it so risky right now... think i have better options... so many just stuck to hold arent we?!!
What more do you want from 3.7p a share?
As for Marco, he and his chums were talking loudly all the way through the presentations on the boat and people were looking at him to shut up, no manners at all.
ZIGG, that is another problem WHO is involved, as yet unknown if truth be told....
Lossgain- He was so convincing and from Shell, so you thought he knew what he was on about when he spoke, I attended the Gherkin (still got the T-shirt and 3D viewer) and also the Sturgeon Thames boat trip ( ate the popcorn )...When things went wrong you believed it was just bad luck and that the next drill will hit, then the next, and the next, this sounded such a good investment originally. Being stupid I should have preserved capital and got out when the price collapsed down to 58p but you think to yourself we are underpinned by the Horst valuation of circa 50p and we may well strike lucky on the next drill so you keep your money on the table, then they inform you that the Horst valuation is only 23p...now you are in gambling territory through no fault of your own, then the next drill fail's.....On original presentation, we would not drill any well with a chance of less than 30% success.........In regard to JP, if he exaggerated the original gas in place figures as alluded to by Exploration with regard to Fastnets figures, his chance for hitting gas is increased as a bigger target to hit, if we do the reverse, simplistic view, 30% chance for say 1Tcf pool, now if that pool of gas is only actually 1/2Tcf then that 30% chance in my eyes drops to 15%, Only my simple view on things....History now, but one does wonder if there is actually much gas there in the first place...I think we conned big time by this person, I was just a fish to reel in, sad on reflection.
Hes cool with it...got more money than he knows what to do with.... and 12 motor bikes !
Jones1980...
Ive got a close friend who piled in at around 90p with £25k worth so about 27,500 shares … that amount now would get him about 633,000 shares... Mental.
wow...13.4% in the blue... I thought my pc was on the blink!
Some decent buys going in which is nice to see.... maybe the Moroccan dream isn't over after all??
Ian, what a total bummer 1m shares, well 2 years ago I had 500k at 40p Thames cruise time then sold down to 350 shares after JP started selling off. was at the Norwich presentation and spoke with him and he asked if I traded Sou, well yes when I read you were selling down for whatever reason !.
Had the other wells been successful then a different story today, but the over ramping and presentations was more like holiday time shares than investing.
Shame on you JP.
God knows what's going to happen here longer term.... but do we have a floor @ 3pish? LTH's (trapped investors better word) may be worth buying shed loads at this price to bring down their averages now JP is leaving.
Looking back at some of my buys in the 40's 60's and back down in the 20's never in my worst nightmares did I foresee this level..... £3 yes ….. 3p NO!
I suppose on hindsight for any new investor at this level it is a worthy punt, but for any investor with an average of 1m at 58p odd it would take thousands to average down, so no point, and haven't got enough spare cash anyway, it was all in here, and with my health issues no chance for a return over 10 years. yes JP you really did screw us with your verbal...
Good luck all in whatever you decide to do.
we are all caught between the devil and the deep blue sea with this one....
All the best and hope Trellis father gets well soon
Ian
Chrishutch, with respect so far today there have been a total of 6 trades, consisting of 5 sells and 1 buy for a total price of £492, think this may take a while...Good luck
