Not sure if this helps SONG - think there would have been an RNS. The acquisition was by Hipgnosis Song Management via Hipgnosis Songs Capital not SONG Hipgnosis Songs Fund.
I understood that SONG would be given the opportunity to participate in HSC acquisitions (HSC the JV between HSM and Blackstone but recall SONG said there would be no more acquisitions until mid year?
Must admit am getting confused and concerned about the direction of SONG here - is Merck M spending more time on the JV rather than SONG?
Nice.
100P - Wow! Hard to resist but have decided it's best to stand back for a while and watch the bear chew up all in its path.
Glad to hear that you took notice of my earlier warning.
Well, I really should stop as I have two truckloads now and I've missed my chance today but if it slips again on Monday I might be tempted - a yield of more than 5% is not to be sniffed at.
laughton - could you tell us as soon as you've stopped buying, so we can then get in at the bottom. Ta.
More competition

Back again and picked up some more @ 106.60P
Positive write up and HOLD rating in today's Daily Telegraph
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/investing/shares/questor-hipgnosis-hits-right-note-despite-getting-caught-neil/
Blimey! Closed @ 107.60P
At this rate I'll soon be buying at the same price as I started this journey - 98.56P
Maybe I should top up every other day instead of every day given the direction of travel.
As promised, dipped in again for a few more @ 108.796P
Neil - probably doesn't really matter. All that publicity he got led to big increase in CD sales and downloads on alternative sites (good for Hypgnosis)
Ukraine - whatever happens isn't going to stop people downloading, listening on radio or going to concerts
Market sell off. probably but that's one reason why I like this. see above
Next catalogue valuation/sector becoming too hot. Yes it is becoming hot and that should support catalogue valuation
Lack of activity with new catalogues - that's my one real grumble.
I am with you - bl00dy hands
Reasons ?
Neil - unlikely
Ukraine - unlikely
Market sell off - - maybe
Ex Div - partly
Nervous about the next catalogue valuation - ?
Lack of activity with new catalogues - ?
Rights sector becoming too hot and expensive - ?
MM being an Ar5enal supporter - probably
Told you. Closed at 109.20P
I'll be back tomorrow.
Who knows but a pretty reliable indicator is that if I'm buying then it has further to fall.
Where is the floor likely to be for the knife to land on??
Ouch! Fingers smarting from that falling knife.
But couldn't resist so picked up some more today @ 110.40P.
Probably have more blood on my hands now..
Took the opportunity to pick up a few more @ 113.73P - I make it that I'm getting a yield of 4.62% on these so happy to buy and forget.
Joe Rogan podcast vanishes from Spotify

Article just published on line - https://masterinvestor.co.uk/funds-and-investment-trusts/going-for-a-song-has-the-write-down-at-hipgnosis-songs-gone-too-far/?mc_cid=4841dc7b35&mc_eid=ab829aae52.
If LSE blanks out the web address try masterinvestor . co . uk, (without the spaces). Looks a good balance view to me, confirming SONG is oversold.
Bit delayed but at least they announced it
Payrise ? I wish
Commute - Bedroom to the study via the kitchen
Cr@pita - only still holding for the CGT loss
Stringing it out a bit though - 3 weeks later than last year.
Hah if only more of my questions were so quickly resolved.
Has anyone seen my payrise?
Has anyone seen my commute with clear traffic?
Has anyone seen the Capita share price stop falling?
Just testing my powers...
