DBW , nearly 60m shares. I wonder where they came from?
Eloro
With the greatest of respect this share has always been a sell on news investment.
It was an early explorer not producer.
It always goes busy before news and falls back again.
Hang in , it's coming... You will be rewarded while you still have lead in the old pencil for you to enjoy the profits. All the best , it's the weekend. Go enjoy it . .
Anyone seen those late trades !!!
Eloro , you've summarized the issue well. If this were an operating company producing revenue, profits and dividends, I'd agree with you about the sp reflecting, in part, the CEO's performance ( although there are numerous cases of a company's sp being on the floor despite the CEO doing a great job). However we are not an operating company and the sp is absolutely no measure of the value of our business.
SC is in the process of turning what we're sitting on into a saleable proposition and, due to the immense complexity of the situation, this is taking a long time. In this respect is it any different to any other explorer? No. Mining is a very long term game, and people who aren't able to accept the timelines really shouldn't invest in the sector.
Could NM have done a better job? Not in my opinion. He's never given the impression of being able to deliver the real nitty gritty detailed stuff that will lead to us being able to truly achieve shareholder value.
P.s. Advice. Stop talking to your wife about it. Change the subject and talk about the garden, or something.
Well CMG, you can wait another 10 years if you are a young person. I am middle age and I was hoping to get my money back while I am still young enough to enjoy it. The people here in their 70s have become desperate and are ramping this share with evangelical zeal because they know that time is running out.
I wish to point out that all the ramping, and positivity didn't prevent this share from plunging from 40p to 5p+. So much for being positive!!
Eloro
It's called an investment...
So unless you are a day to day trader locked in @20p+
Nothing to worry about here, I have been accumulating shares here for near 10yrs .
Buying and selling, not always at the best time/price I dare mention.
Seen the highs and lows , but it was always a long game investment.. once the initial drilling started showing what we really had.
Another two year won't matter if that's what it takes.
Risk Vs rewards
And like Charlie the cat always said...
Don't talk or listen to strangers , always DYOR.
GL cmg
Was always a gold play really. This rerate in the price of gold makes cascabel more viable. The copper is simply s.lag
dbw, i would love to sell up and go because the fun has evaporated here. i would sell at break even if our muppet ceo hadn't tanked the sp. what i don't understand, being a muppet, is why you are mad at posters like myself while ignoring the **** poor performance of the muppet ceo under whose watch the sp plunged?
add, sadly, my wife is getting fed up of hearing that solg will become a profitable investment this year....then this year came and went. now it would appear that 2024 will be equally as disappointing as 2023. the only yardstick i use to measure a ceo's performance is the value of their company's sp. what a disappointment solg has turned out to be.
cmg, i can only applaud your optimism because all i can see is more of the same, talk, guessing, and more talking.
31.3Mil Oz of Au alone at e new record price (and possibly going much higher!) at $2327/Oz makes for heck-of-a-profitable mine in the near future! Just saying? Then there is Ag & Cu = both going to spiral upwards too in 2024.
Come on Majors, where are your bids? Waiting for this show to become much, much more expensive, are you?
Ha, they have nothing to fight Israel with. It will be symbolic attack if anything
Gold on a leg up now that could see it settle anywhere from 3000-5000
Through 2300 like a knife through butter.
If Iran kick off with Israel over the weekend... we could see $3000 on the cards very soon.
Most UK stocks are down because the US is tanking in unrealistic expectations about interest rates...
But gold is flying
Copper is flying
Silver is flying
COPX at a 12 year high...
GDX flying
GDXJ flying...
And news is coming...
Soon we will be in heaven...
Well done again DBW...the data miner for our copper/gold miner...
That's what Ingo told me but he was referring to something we already knew...
Interesting article, I note that he realises EV sales aren’t what were projected and he is of course correct
In fact their share of the market in the U.K. fell 1% YoY to 15.2% with petrol car sales surging 9%
Like I said, only so many taking the business bribes and we’ve run out of people virtuous enough to spend a fortune showing off their green credentials
A saturation point was always inevitable
Beats me why anyone invested would talk this down . Just sell up and move on thanks CMG
Dreamboat.
Keeping it real, solg .
thanks for posting link.
A lot better for getting positive chat going on the thread.
Cmg.
Pretty sure I’ve had that aquinaga 😉
Eloro
I'm not stuck , here at all .
And have faith , this will end up well for all. No matter the price they have bought in at.
Some folk will come out better than other obviously if they bought in low 7s . And all those who bought in the 20s . Probably would have been happy with 50p+ at the time, of investment. It's just a shame they have had to wait a bit longer for it to happen.
Nothing to fear here, imo.
Eloro, as my A Level history teacher said of one of my essays; "You can't see the wood for the trees" (it was the first time I'd heard the expression, so it's stuck with me) I suspect he'd say the same to you.
I remember you Red when you told us about the best hole in South America
CMG, I must be a muppet for buying this share in the first place. How far back did you go reading my posts? I am sure that I was very positive when NM was in charge and that my disappointment only started when our muppet ceo took over. Its a free BB where ownership of the share isn't a prerequisite to post. You are just peeved because I am right and the SP is heading back to 5p because of the waste of space we have for a ceo. Bring back NM I say😆
Need a life.
Are you Eloro?
And I'm sure you haven't spoken badly, about this share from the word go.. like eloro has, his very first posts are negative. Infact every post is negative!!
