Needalife, who calls 1981 'mate', posted here at 23:49 last night and followed that up with another at 06:55 today. 'Needalife' - so apt.
It that the same needalife that said he read the board for ages but never posted?
They must think we were all born yesterday.
Gino. Tut tut. Foot in mouth comes to mind. Not every one on here is on UK time. Try engage your brain, before showing off. Tut tut. And one things for sure. You have never had a mate in your life. So you ned not concern yourself any further
Needalife /Kalbari
How are you doing? Life treating you well in Aus? Long time no speak since your previous incarnation.
Take it easy and don't be too critical of little old SOLG. We've had a horrendous couple of years here and some need to believe that the wood is emerging from the trees.
Bozi, would you rather we remained tangled in the undergrowth? Or don't you believe the company is making progress in the right direction?
The fact is we are in a very different situation from that of early summer last year and if we can't feel optimistic we may as well sell up and disappear.
Addicknt - I've a preference for selling up given that there's next to no activities going on in country. We seem to have become completely incapable of doing anything since the PFS was announced. That's almost 12 months of dead time.
That said, my concern is how much progress Bob and Dan are making. Nothing is being shared with shareholders and nothing is really making it to press. We deserve to be updated more than that because the alternative is some mediocre offer is placed in front of us with a reluctant endorsement from the board.
Basically, I've no confidence that Maxit are going to stimulate an auction type process and that is disappointing. It doesn't mean I have to sell up though.
Bozi, that's not how a SR works and updates aren't normally provided.
I think the key question is whether or not at this stage the SR is merely an intellectual exercise, or whether they are actively pursuing one of the options. In other words, come end June will they say "having looked at all the options over the coming months we intend to follow x path", or will they say "having considered the options we have pursued x and this is what the deal looks like" (that's rather clumsily expressed, but you get my point.) My own view is were it merely an intellectual process it wouldn't have taken this long, but that's just speculation on my behalf.
Why do you feel Maxit/Citi won't generate any interest? Do you believe the asset is insufficiently attractive to stimulate interest from more than one party? I'd have thought we've already got two on the register and I'm sure there's more out there.
"having looked at all the options over the coming months we intend to follow x path"
exactly this... and that is mine and others big concern.. it would have been at least 6 months for our board to just make a decision on direction of travel for a small explorer.... and then state 'an intention to begin the process of going down route X' and then we are waiting another 6 months as they again drag their heels further...
But Add - we're repeatedly being told by members of this BB that the SR is all a big smokescreen for what is really happening.
I don't believe it is. I've every belief that it's happening and the June outcome will be as you say, with a definitive course of action advised. Will it be the course of action that most people want - that is the question.
I just happen to believe that the interest is already involved. It has to be someone with the cash resources to negate borrowing at expensive rates and they have to have the social and technical skills to navigate Ecuador and overcome the issues that I'm sure will arise given there's only a couple of mines in existence and nothing like the plan at Cascabel.
I'd love Citi and Maxit to unearth 2 or 3 suitors who tick all those boxes but I will believe it when I see it.
Orthern, yes, it would be concerning, but at this stage we have absolutely no evidence to support that position. What we do know is that Caldwell/Maxit are working 'full time' on the SR and have previously expressed a degree of urgency, so I'm not sure what's happened to make people believe they are not doing exactly what they said they would.
I've "dropped the ball" regarding Solg these days. Fecking company has done the same too, it seems.
Would appreciate therefore - peeps views on the way fwd, vis a vie:
1. No drilling? No exploration?
2. No further physical progress regarding Cascabel?
3. 800+ hungry mouths to feed?
4. No money coming in?
5. Lasso could be ejected from office before he leaves anyway in 2024?
6. Is the SR just a paper exercise?
Can't think of any positives - sorry (other than amalgamating CGP and Solg).
What exactly is Solg doing - day in, day out - anyone?
Z
Tough decision huh Bozi...?
"I've a preference for selling up.........It doesn't mean I have to sell up though."
So had you decided to hang on by the time you finished your post?
Orpherncopper... when you say " mine and others big concern"? Who are these others?
It's ben posted on several times now and you still don't get it or it doesn't suit your negative view.... but Ecuador Gov are in a very important discussion with Chinese right now. Timelines are not in SOLG's hands especially if buyer is Chinese lol! There is a clear link between doing trade deals and securing what will be the largest footprint in Ecuador with the biggest producing mine worth multi billion investment capital.
SOLG are also in discussions withe Ecuador gov regarding terms on moving from exploration to exploitation.
So whilst you continue to suggest SOLG are struggling, just bear the above in mind. It's not all in their control. And FWIIW... if the chinese are at all worried about Ecuador politics and Lasso etc etc then they really wouldn't be this far in would they?
But you keep trying you best to suggest Ecuador is a basket case and the likes of Alpala are not desirable.
You are not an investor here. You are an infestor!
SOLG selling up Redknight - Addicknt's post prompted the question.
PS - there's only one of us that has actually sold some shares in the last 24hrs... and it wasn't me...
Colonel - why are you still (after all these years) spouting ******?
You post as if you are all knowledgeable about what is going on - always have done....and yet in reality you know the square root of nothing (as do I).
Where in the name of (your)god do you learn that the chinese are in discussion with Ecuador??? I'll let you into a secret - the chinese have been entwined in Ecuador for over thirty years, from a commercial perspective. They have propped up the regime (financially) for as long as the last 2 decades. Ecuador owes China a considerab;e sum of money and much of it had to be written off by the chinese last month 'balance' their books!
I will say this - if ANYONE is closer to what is going on, both in the ecuadorian mining fraternity and in Solg - it IS the chinese.
All of the above is available on line for research purposes by the way.
We are all watching the PoG start its inexorable rise - the longer it continues - the more expensive the purchase of Alpala becomes. Someone needs to act soon to get a shop floor bargain @ENSA - or this 'hiatus' we are experiencing will continue for bl oody months if not years!

Still got millions Bozi...
Of course you have, poppet. Probably got some of them as a bonus for all that important 'city finance' work you absolutely definitely did do in your career...
You don't understand A trades, but you were definitely a big deal. Definitely.
You flag tiny transfer of stock reported on Christmas day as if it signal corporate action. But you are 100% a rich former city boy with millions of shares. Of course.
1981investor - don't forget has lovely wife - bless her. She's got bazillions too....;0
Bless them.

Of course. I'm not sure red has ever said, so we'll just assume she's a part-time supermodel who is also a princess and goes to a different school so we wouldn't know her...
Zoros, I'm fully ware that Ecuador and Chinese have been working together for years. But you missed my point or chose to ignore the impending historic 'trade deal' that has yet to complete. It's a big event and if you don't understand that... then you are clearly misinformed.
Oh... I can tell you Mr Biden is none too happy with it. So no surprise that Lasso is feeling some heat as we all know the US likes to tweak and tween behind the scenes when things are not going their way.
The chinese best get a deal signed soon before the US cause more trouble.
https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202302/1285669.shtml
The deal, once signed, will also make Ecuador the fourth Latin American country to have a free trade agreement in place with China, after Chile, Costa Rica and Peru. Observers expect the deal to influence thinking among other Latin American countries.
Panning to double my holding shortly..
Panning is probably a quicker route to gold than Solg, Ray. DIY?
I have the patience of a Saint. Not desperate like the few here... when it comes and it will, I'll make a killing.
Happy Easter all.
So will i Ray .....Happy Easter !!:)
