Agreed HfH...sund analysis...
However, it has been clear for 18 months that the intention has been to sell Solgold as a company.
Now it may well be that serious prospective bidders don't want the 89 other projects and some or all may be dealt with separately.
IMO the 'Strategic Review' has always been a smokescreen...especially the CGP investors want out, lock stock and barrel.
In the meantime, it was clear that there were ten EOIs for offtake and like DBH I think we will see the cash position secured for at least 2 years early this week, with a conditional Offtake agreement maybe for as little as the first year of production...a deal which could be cancelled in the event of a takeover.
Then watch the SP take off and I believe if it hit the 20s pretty quickly they might sell the CGP stake to the highest bidder PDQ, thereby possibly nullifying the need for the offtake...
We shall see...
20p+ by Friday Novice?
Record since when? Planet has been here 4.6bn years
Why “most in 18 months”? Why not this year or a quarter or six months?
What these goons do is choose a timeline to fit their narrative.
So are we supposed to believe now that all weather is due to global warming? A cow farts and it’s too hot, someone starts their car up and the northern hemisphere rains for 18 months
You’re off your rocker! Wake up…you’re being had
Unprecedented levels of rain 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
It’s not even flooded anywhere you dope
I'd be ok with Williem's 66p ($3bln) if we got that offer in next 6 months. If not, and we go into 2025, then with the way the market is tightening up on copper and with the BHP/Anglo/Glencore/Rio/Vale bun fight expected to kick off... I'd be looking at £1+.
So my message to the chinese is this... get the deal done now (pronto) or by all means kick tyres for another year and you're looking at double the price.
Just a hunch but I guess they would have wanted to wait to see if Noboa got his home grown referendum through. Would have been better than the Chile arb/deal so no harm in waiting. Thus with that out of the way... they can now get onto getting something tabled. BHP's guard might be down due to Anglo deal... so excellent time for them to strike.
Would not surprise me one bit to just see an RNS land soon... bit like Anglo's... completely out of the blue and catch the market and everyone wrong footed.

The much maligned Strategic Review will, in my opinion, be concluded within the next 25 trading days.
Its purpose was to evaluate and pursue value enhancing opportunities for the company.
1. A spin out of assets other than the Cascabel project.
It's my belief that all assets with the exception of Cascabel and Blanca Nieves will be deemed as non core, and will either be sold off or have earn in agreements relinquishing overall ownership. There are various things that make an announcement on this exciting. Firstly, it's my understanding that that Porvenir would not be available to potential suitors on it's own. All non core assets would only be available as a block. As the Ecuadorian government is set to withdraw concessions that are unused it makes perfect sense for SOLG to either offload them or arrange JV's to finance them. Furthermore, with the mining cadastre being closed since 2018, the only way for companies wishing to enter and mine in Ecuador is to arrange a deal with companies like SOLG who have already been granted the concessions.
2. The direct or indirect acquisition of an interest in the Cascabel project.
Following the revised PFS I believe there has been substantial interest from multiple entities in taking an interest in Cascabel. It remains to be seen whether these are further offtake agreements, earn in agreements or an outright sale of the asset. Personally I don't think they'll be offtakes and if it becomes a gold play I think Barrick are most likely but if it comes down to copper, with a high level Chinese delegation recently meeting with the Ecuadorian government, all things lead to China.
SOLG need $60m to fully derisk Cascabel, less than $40m if they sell the Cornerstone shares at a premium. The exciting thing here is copper gold and silver is only going up, every milestone in derisking Cascabel adds more value, and I firmly believe SOLGs financial future will be very much secured within the next 25 trading days. In securing that finance I'm pretty sure that will include a major announcement regarding Cascabel.
Traders can take their 10% but for me this is a 400, 500, 1000% opportunity over the coming months.
Mister, he says it at around 45 minutes into the interview the link to which is provided below by DBW.
Fort “
Willem seems to think SOLG is worth $3bln.” I must have missed this- where is this information?
You seem to misunderstand global warming 1984 and this is exactly why we have had extremely cold weather and unprecedented levels of rain over this winter. Do some proper research before becoming one of the many propagandist sheep saying “uuuhhh it’s not warm here “ etc etc
Anyway 55p someday soon!!!
Same here 1984. Our heating has been getting max use. Where in the North are you 1984? I am from Manchester, but currently live and work in Bradfordistan. Can you guys imagine going to the supermarket, which is not far from a mosque, and hearing the Imam calling the faithful for prayer? For a minute I couldn't believe I am in England. As for the driving, I am definitely on the roads of South Asia here. Certain people from a certain ethnic group don't stop at traffic lights! I know some will use the R word here, but no, I fear every time my wife and kids go out because they are running over lollipop ladies and not stopping. It's dire here.
Meanwhile here in northern England, just days from entering the month of may, I have my central heating on
Damn that global boiling
Perhaps he’s been taken hostage in quito
Not like you to miss a chance to see a glass half empty!
You guys are making me laugh😃 Moi, a pessimist? I would say realist. Let's not quibble. We knew that the Chinese are interested. However, this the first time I have heard it being confirmed that they are actually negotiating a deal. Last time our buffoon ceo said that there were lots of tyre kicking, but he didn't say by whom. Further, while my hero Warren mentioned the Chinese as the likely buyers, he didn't actually say that discussion of a deal is in progress. In fact, he has clammed up when asked repeatedly on X re solg. Instead, he is currently appears fixated on Justin Trudeau! Perhaps Warren has decided to fix Canada's mining problems from occupying the big chair in Ottawa!! Nay lads, even a muppet like me cannot ignore the fact that nowt have been said about funding being in place when we know that the company is running on fumes. Bob isn't Scott The Rocks Caldwell. He knows what he is doing. Yet, over a week now, he hasn't replied to my email. Something is definitely going on. I agree with Fort take on the current situation.
From pessimist to realist – welcome to the fold Eloro.
We've been told a few times that the chinese have been kicking tyres on SOLG or Alpala That's been going on for over a year now. We have Mr Liu on board now too So that suggests things are moving closer.. much closeer.
The real question is... the shake up being caused by the inevitable break up and bun fight over Anglo in coming weeks and months.... how is that going to effect the chinese? My guess is that they will feel uneasy at the idea of BHP being a major almost cartel like controller of copper should they buy Anglo. Even more so should they buy SOLG too.
So the time to stop kicking tyres and act might be fast approaching.
Willem seems to think SOLG is worth $3bln.
Should read: he complained about the copper demand hype but wasn't seeing the deals to confirm that the bull market has started.
1984, only a fool would deny the obvious. I might be a muppet, but I am not a fool!
Glad you got there in the end Eloro
Yes Add, for once there is a slither of light visible through the tunnel. I am surprised that we had to hear it from Willem. Fort is right, Warren must be muzzled. Its not like him to be quiet with the bull market finally here. In one of his interviews, he complained about the copper demand hype but was seeing the deals to confirm thst the bull market has started. Well, we are seeing it now with BHP and he is silent. Posting about Trudeau instead of posting about one of his fund's largest position. What did Holmes say? When you've eliminated all the possibilities, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the answer. Hence, I am inclined to think events are about to unfold😆
They do seem to make a habit of low balling only then to up the offer ... makes you wonder why they didn't pitch the offer correctly in the first place.
They are setting a theme here and anyone getting offers from BHP is just going to bat the first one away. Remember that Bob.

'Don't get carried away'! This from the person who told us the cartels would take over Cascabel and that the country was in a civil war. You've over-exaggerated every single recent event, so it's hardly me who's getting carried away.
Anyway, as I said earlier, it's good you're feeling a bit happier with life.
Yes May 14th - correct DBW. Becomes effective June 3rd. So not sure if fund managers can buy ahead of the entry or not. Some might have to wait until June 3rd.
Question is... will we meet qualifying requirements? I'm guessing we need to be north of 11.5p to have a chance.
You'd think Bob and co would have funding (short term stuff) sorted before the MD&A due mid May too?
Something cooking for sure as they all seem too quiet Irwin included when post BHP / Anglo news they should all be chirping loudly. It's fact that they seem to have ignored the BHP/Anglo news that is quite revealing.
At least we know one thing .... and that's BHP's intentions toward copper. We now know they are desperate for the stuff. Hard for them to act like they are disinterested in SOLG after that mining sector bombshell.
Don't get carried away Add, let's wait and see what unfold. I have posted several times that the longer funding remains unresolved, then something must be going on because Bob called DC a moron for how he messed up the last funding. After watching Willem's interview, I am inclined to think that funding hasn't been resolved because it won't be needed. The only anomaly is the recent insider share purchases. With the buffoon involved, I don't want to get my hopes up only to have it dashed by his ineptitude.
'Voiced my doubts'...ha! That's the understatement of the year.
