Sniv, it is odd that only a few hours ago you replied to one of my posts with "Andrew your delusion is that you think your opinion has any value." Yet you've now endorsed (complete with emoji) a post apparently only on the basis that my opinion agrees with yours.
It still doesn't change the fact that, wait for it...... The patent is not an issue.
"That is what RM said. Yes :)"
Not just what RM said, but Akron too:
Akron will support the future clinical and commercial development of SNG001 through the provision of its IFN-beta in Synairgen’s formulation. “Akron’s expertise in recombinant protein manufacturing and large-scale production capacity add significant value to our further development and commercialisation of SNG001,” commented Synairgen CEO Richard Marsden. “The ability to rapidly scale the production of SNG001 will allow Synairgen to meet expected clinical and commercial demand for the drug, ensuring that patients have access to this promising treatment.” “The agreement with Synairgen reflects our ongoing commitment to meet the growing demand for validated, cGMP-compliant solutions to advance novel therapies,” said Claudia Zylberberg, PhD, Founder and CEO of Akron Biotech. "We are excited to support Synairgen in its quest to further this exciting treatment for COVID-19, bringing a promising new therapy to patients with few viable options.”
Andrew yes I've misread your comment, but then again I've been trying to convince the gang here since last year that this is the case. Glad to see it is the case :)
That is what RM said. Yes :)
Scinv - That was one of the major reasons Akron was brought on board. RM explicitly explained they would scale up Akron to provide drug product for the later stages of the Activ trial.
Sounds like a well organised plan coming together.
Sniv, have you filtered nolopus or was his reply a waste of time?
Andrew so is the answer to the question
"Is it a fact that anyone that makes and sells an inhaled ifn b for covid needs a license from synairgen"
A yes?
Sniv, did you not understand the reply to that question?
As it happens others have answered it but as I suggested, it was a waste of effort.
QED
And I'm not making stuff up, one the criteria for progressing to phase 3 is to be convinced that the company can supply quantities, yes they do as for information from the start but the also want to see progress. Look at it from another perspective that you'd probably like better, if they do progress to pahse 3 on activ 2, apart from the clinical part it would mean activ people were satisfied with progress on manufacturing as well.
Depends on what you define as issue. Still haven't answered if you think it is a fact no one else can make and sell an inhaled ifn b treatment unless they license from synairgen.
Sniv, you're just making stuff up now.
By the way, ending a sentence with the symbol for a period, the word period in capital letters and another symbol for a period, is that what that elementary education learnt (sic) you?
How about this then, the patent is not an issue. PERIOD.
Poor planning wasn't their fault and the activ inclusion wasn't something they were trying to do from before, they just sent a letter beg him to take part at the last minute. Sure
Which is why I still hold a small number of shares just in case they progress them to phase 3 on activ 2 and get their own phase 3 done, though the company seems to be downplaying the activ 2 path and that matters for progression to the next phase on activ. Then again it impossible to tell what RM is saying to whom.
Scinv - and as I said I explained to you in very simple terms why there was most probably limited supply at that stage for ACTIV-2. It was not their fault or due to poor planning.
Scinv - But RM recently stated that we are building inventory as we speak at the same time as completing manufacturing verification and sign off.
So sounds like limited supply is a problem of the past.
Matterhorn, this was mentioned in official recovery documents earlier though it was mostly that they didn't believe they could scale up to supply the market mostly and also specifically in the activ documents that they did not have as much as they wanted to for the trials. PERIOD.
Scinv - I’m not going to get into a pointless fit for tat conversation with you.
If you can’t see the billion $ potential here then that’s your loss.
The same old negative points just don’t cut it especially since the latest bout of news has rendered some of your arguments nullified.
Ghia,
We are in agreement that SNG have patent protection for their formulation of inhaled interferon and that anyone using the same formulation will be taken to court ( full stop )
As you say , if anyone wants to copy SNG with a different formulation so be it ... they will have to go through the clinical trials to validate their formulations ....
Scinv - your comment ‘… couldn't even sort out manufacturing for the trials …’ is utter nonsense and you should know this as I explained to you why there was limited supply at that stage. You remember that chat we had? The one with your inferior attempt at sarcasm?
Ghia perhaps they'll give them a pity patent. Lol.
It was their choice to do what they did (which was valued at 225M + royalties) and also their idea to pretend during covid that all of a sudden this is entirely novel and let people believe that valuations in the billions were all of a sudden normal. Their delusion that they would sell this for a huge number of people at £2.5K and in fact they couldn't even sort out manufacturing for the trials. Actually, it was their lie, the delusion is yours.
Mr Big - That may be so but equally the opposing view conveniently misses out the 15years SNG spent to get to this stage.
A well funded competition would at least have 2-3years of catchup.
*Sarscov2
And how come I'm the one with the agenda while it is you spreading misinformation?
But they were not even the first to have the idea to treat sarscoc2 or ANY virus with ANY ifn or using an inhaled version to do it. NONE of that was their idea.
Scinv has an agenda. No one spends all day on the LSE board posting thousands of messages on one board without having an agenda. Not sure why you guys haven’t blocked him by now. These discussions are tepid
No man. It you hasn't got a clue how patents work.
