Doc my point was purely around the potential bar height for authorisation and the smoke & mirrors used to qualify a non effective treatment.
Nothing to do with vaccination.
Docdaneeka, thanks for confirming it was just another example of the cretinous rhetoric trotted out by the vaccine or nothing pack? Much more sick in the head than usual though.
Meanwhile the SP seems to have woken up ?
@docdaneeka
â Exactly Skippyboy We're done with the " I'd rather trust my own immune system " debate. Those people who did are all dead.â
Thanks for making me spit my coffee out haha
I am erring towards Docs argument that the bar canât be set that high and comfortably well under what we should achieve.
Harking on again about Remdesivir they obviously thought it worked if as they say it was used to treat POTUS. That narrative gave it gold standard credibility and enabled it to make over 1.5 billion dollars.
That is pretty incredible for a drug which by all accounts doesnât actually have any benefit.
The Great Rock & Roll Swindle right there.
So again what is the value of a drug like SNG that does actually work ?
Docdaneeka, do you have even the vaguest stat that confirms "Those people who did are all dead" or is that just another example of the cretinous rhetoric trotted out by the vaccine or nothing pack?
I'd be particularly interested to read your justification for you statement and how many people have actually died who have refused the vaccine and compare that number to those that have died despite being vaccinated.
My gut feeling is the numbers are going to be close.
Lol doc I think âthose people are all deadâ is probably a bit of an overstatement maybe those people who had underlying health issues are mostly dead and the rest are fine and have immunity for at least 180 days
I am back working over in Spain. Nearly everyone is wearing masks all the time except when they sit down to eat.
Just seems to be the accepted practise.
The vaccines have demonstrably saved many many many lives and reduced transmissibility. On the other hand there is now less (even less) care being taken across society in general and infections are up with a more transmissible variant and more of those to come. Therefore the residual risk to a heavily vaccinated country becomes more obvious in the figures. It has not gone anywhere.
The answer is vaccine + testing. I would happily carry a passport that stated I had been vaccinated as long as access to a venue/border control/workplace etc was also backed by testing. The current lateral flow tests not accurate enough. So we need a second generation of fast tests to fill this space.
Ive been invested in SNG for well over a year now. SNG is not providing a drug to prevent transmission. It is a therapeutic for the infected and we expect that if further trial results support the previous data set that it will be a hugely important drug that will help to save even more lives. The market remains huge and not just for Covid. But we would be mad to not put vaccines and testing ahead of it. SNG puts the fire out if you are unfortunate enough to need it AFTER prevention has failed.
Whilst I get the impatience I can't help but remind myself that up until now the published data for SNG set is very small. It was very very good but in a world where (including on this board) people are slating even the vaccines, which were tested against a massive cohort in comparison, for being insufficiently tested...... how can we argue that it should be in use prior to reasonable trials?
It won't be long now unless your horizon is days instead of weeks. Then we will know. Regardless of the politics and perceived unfairness against SNG that gets mentioned here... if the next data set is half as good as the Phase 1 trial results the doors will well and truly be blown off. Nothing else gets close.

Well death rate in Italy is hugely down since vaccine. I was pleased to get double jab and green passport. Very efficient. Whats the alternative, j?
Just a wee correction children in Scotland( mine included) went back to school over 4 weeks ago. My daughter is in s1 and in her class of 20, 8 are/have been isolating due to positive covid results. We are in the countryside as well
So I am being texted for a third booster vaccine shot. Well what a lot of horlics. Scotland are already seeing higher hospital admissions because children started back at school 2 weeks ago.
I personally believe this winter will be as bad as last winter for fatalities. For the time of year, the daily fatality rate appears high.
We are being directed by a government that makes things up as they go along and I sincerely believe the vaccines are nowhere near as good as we have been led to believe.
I am not a conspiracy theorist but I am annoyed that we are being injected with whatever whilst treatments like Sng001, are being delayed.
Take care all.
I canât tell from that article if they are talking about Molnupiravir or the âinterferonâ drug.
It is really bizarre and I havenât seen no name referencing applied to anything else.
No logical or legal reason I am aware of.
Has anybody messaged and had a response?
Is âSNGâ a swear word in the USA ?
Also watch the video in the link, shows how incompetent the US health system is

âThere's some preliminary data, you give it to people, their virus levels drop dramatically.â said Dr. Robert Shafer, professor of medicine in the Infectious Disease Division at Stanford. Dr. Shafer and a team of scientists have published a comprehensive review of COVID-19 antiviral therapies, along with a plan for improving the research timeline. Yet another drug uses a version of the human bodyâs natural immune defenses: interferon, to battle the coronavirus. It can be inhaled at home if someone suspects theyâve been exposed to the virus.
