Have we been told the cost (customer buy price) of a 14 day treatment
Matml - many thanks. I'm interested in the difference between your "few hundred thousand doses a month" from July and the 100,000 per month quoted recently. Are we possibly confusing ourselves because some people are talking about treatments (i.e. the full 14 day dose) and others are counting the single day doses? Assuming that is not the case, and everyone is talking about 14 day treatments, there is still a lot of difference, when it comes to potential sales, between "one" and "a few".
You generally have to put drugs through trials before you can start selling them. Maybe you should have done more research before you bought your 77k shares.
Marlow,
Funds were raised in March to produce doses in the event of successful phase 2. Richard Marsden said in July after the phase 2 trial results that they would have a stockpile for this winter. The below is from an article in the Evening standard July 20th.
He told the BBC he expects Synairgen to be able to deliver "a few 100,000" doses a month by the winter.
They must have a stockpile that was produced by Rentschler in order for Clinigen to be able to supply as part of their agreement with Synairgen. Some of this stock will also be used for the phase 3 trial as per the rns.
I think he meant he did not get to buy back at the placing price..
So has resorted to a pretty pathetic attempt to deramp.....
Solid buying at this level, so anyone hoping for a lower entry should
look at the buys reported yesterday and realise this is the best you will get
before the next leg up....IMHO!
MrCosts - If you understand anything about pharmaceutical development you should be aware that many of our breakthrough medicines have surprisingly sat in vast development libraries for years before eventually making it.....
Deramp? I've got over 77k shares in play here. I am entitled to look at both sides of the coin...
Sell your shares and do one...!!!
If SNG001 were to be given some sort of approval tomorrow, do we have any idea of how many treatments (of 14 doses) Synairgen could deliver? I know they have said that they are producing 100,000 treatments per month, but what is the current stockpile, if anything?
I suppose what I'm saying is that the frustration we are all experiencing at the slow recognition and approval of a drug that could knock this pandemic on the head at a stroke (please wake up, Mr Han****) may not be that critical until production really gets going. I know there has been and perhaps remains a chicken and egg element to this, but I suppose we have to be realistic about recognising the reality of the situation.
MrCosts - when you say "In the last 6 years has SNG received any orders?" - what do you mean? Biotechs do not sell cars to receive orders, they develop compounds/drugs which are IP - and then they normally partner with larger pharma companies (or very rarely, as is the case with SNG now) they do it all themselves. Please do your own research.
Added to which we have to ask why they are not providing a date by which they will publish the results of their latest trials. Perhaps they are planning a double whammy - great results and a production deal - hope springs eternal.
SNG have been trying to sell this product since 2014 in various forms (Asthma, COPD and now COVID). In the last 6 years has SNG received any orders?
