Jint - that is really not how the patent system works. Formulation patents are rarely successfully enforced in the UK. Europe the same. If you look at UK patents court judgments over the last 30 years, I cannot think of more than one being successfully enforced. Product patents per se patents are more robust.

“ PS the people who keep saying there are patents: there are only formulation patents not patents to IFN. IFN per se is not patented. The patents for recombinant IFN were owned by Biogen and have expired”
No one has suggested Synairgen have IP for recombinant INF, why do you continually denigrate with the term “ONLY” the SNG001 formulation (patent granted), which enables successful administration via mesh nebulisation directly to the respiratory system along with lower dose and minimal side-effects advantage over systemic INF.
Granted patent status as you should know, is not granted without due diligence being applied by the appropriate Patent Authorities in each applicable territory.
Your continued sniping at SNG’s IP is unbecoming for someone who’s supposedly worked in the field of INF, and disrespectful of the scientists who created the formula over a number of years prior to the patent application.
So Dr.Know-It-All, explain the hiring of a new CMO in November, along with a new CFO in November, along with a new Financial Controller and at least 2 clinical trial operatives? Explain the comms black out since that period? Explain the UKHSA taking it upon themselves (allegedly without active company input) to showcase at a global and sold out ID conference, the (scientifically proven) viral agnostic capabilities of SNG001, amongst a sea of others they could have chosen. Then explain that in the context of a real and escalating global threat of H5N1 human-2-human tranmission, where BPs are facing a dearth of available anti-viral therapeutics to deal with any future pandemic scenario, never mind 'normal' pandemic planning. After that, feel free to lecture me and others on why one should have no faith in the company's prospects. I think you are pedalling BS, and I'm not in the market for that.
Do you think you'll get your 15p back ?
CONFIRMATION BIAS
Confirmation bias is the selective search for supportive evidence, defined by the tendency to only find data that supports the desired decision or outcome. This bias can make individuals blind to contrary evidence or cause them to selectively retain information that supports their viewpoint
Thanks Tommy now it makes sense why post the same crap mice studies over and over
What is Repetition Bias? Repeated information feels more true.
Thanks to Repetition Bias, the more times a message is repeated, and the greater the number of sources repeating the message, the more believable it becomes.
S7 no, not a physician - monikered for the hapless MD in the novel Catch 22.
Thanks for the in-depth response. We all remember those heady days, when many of us invested more than we should in this share, and were spending the money before we had it. Cars - yachts - houses .... I blame no-one for my own recklessness - but it is true that the few dissenting voices ( and i was one even then on many key issues ) were hammered into silence and driven from the board. We didn't even discuss the possible impacts of SOC on the trials but took it on faith that the company had it factored in - even if the protocols made no allowances for it. Most of the best posters here how have a more cautious - or perhaps resigned - approach to the remaining funds still locked up in SNG. I'd go as far as to say a majority of LTHs still believe in the drug - but have significantly less faith in the company. How could this not be the case, given the disdainful lack of engagement from the BoD and CEO. Only Fruiits and his offensive pal pretend that the company got nothing wrong in Sprinter and have done nothing wrong in the 2 years since.
Last questions from me. Do you think you'll get your 15p back ? And why ? Did you see anything more encouraging in the deep dive for Sprinter or COPD or are you just hoping this will be traded past your average on minor (ish) news.

Never other genuine contributors with investments here, just trolls. I don’t consider those who defend blatantly obvious trolls as motiveless, and I can conceive of no universe in which that behaviour would be considered innocent. I have no nefarious motives. If I did I’d spend every hour on here with the rest of the fantasists hawking misinformation and sowing seeds of doubt. I think it’s fair to say you and others spend more time on here than me. My conscience is clear.
Doc D - are you really a physician btw?
You ask a question why do I post on this board when I don't own any shares. First I do own a few shares. I bought a few when the price was around 15p.
Second I must correct you when you say I said IFNs do not work. Of course they work, that is why we produce endogenous IFNS. And in the clinic - I worked mostly on herpes and RSV - we usually observe a statistical significant weak effect: the earlier the intervention the stronger the effect. But it was not strong enough to commercialise a product - at least that was our view. That is why I suggested the P3 results would only show a weak or marginal effect.
The more substantive answer to your question is that I saw a message on here from a man who said he had put all his savings into Syn and had not told his wife. Comments on the board were all about how this was going to change the face of the clinical treatment of viral disease and covid in particular. I spoke to one of the physician at So'ton and read the P2 paper - being intrigued by theses suggestions.
My view was the data was not particularly strong (I have been doing this a long time) and thought it appropriate to warn investors that P3 may well be marginal. I also explained I had worked in the field. My motivation was to inform people. People who were being influenced by the hype and might be interested in the alternative point of view. People just hurled abuse at me. The abuse continues to this day. Nobody asked me follow up questions. I offered to speak to anyone who was interested but I got the impression people were just interested in views which reinforced the views already being expressed.
That is the reason. The reason for my last post was that Mr Costs asked a question and I was responding to that. Should I seek your permission before doing this in future?
PS the people who keep saying there are patents: there are only formulation patents not patents to IFN. IFN per se is not patented. The patents for recombinant IFN were owned by Biogen and have expired

“I'll do me and you do you - none of us need to be told.”
Fine! That implies that we have more of your immature response to other contributors to look forward to. I am grateful that you at least indulged me with a sensible reply.
With regards to your labelling me and others as having nefarious reasons for contributing here, that is beyond a joke.
You recently stated that our uncommunicative CEO was well respected by BP companies. Do you have any evidence to validate that statement? I won’t counter by suggesting that you may have a hidden agenda in offering this information? However, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to make that deduction.
Fruits you are delusional.
Tp you are ofcourse correct.
Company is responsible for the situation we are in.
A failed trial can happen.
Not communicating for so long after promissing you would is a deliberate choice.
We can only wait.
Risk reward here positive imho. But communication horrible. Commercial science unproven.
TP,
I'll do me and you do you - none of us need to be told WHO to listen to or believe on this forum, or HOW to invest. Those who seek to control this narrative are doing themselves no favours - the desperation is quite palpable and the motives are obvious. It also wasn't so long ago that you were witness to the evidenced exposure of Sakura's lies, something you and others are always quick to forget. You know this - yet you defend. I see Doc.Dan has just realised the defense of Sakura is useless, and thus has changed tack, as is his MO. Perhaps something others might try if they are to remain believable on this forum...?
Sakura7 please just tell us why you're still here. ? We all have shares and want this to end in success. You have no shares and seem keen for failure. You predicted Sprinter would fail - but on the basis that interferons don't work - which has been disproven by Synairgen and countless other studies. We all understand that the question has never been "does it work" but "how well does it work, and for whom ?" I don't doubt that you are who you say you are - even if others believe you a fraud. It doesn't matter anyway as TP says. It's ridiculous to imagine anyone would concoct such an elababorate backstory for some kind of financial leverage. A fantasist might do it for sure - but not a market making troll.
But the question remains .....If you've never been invested and have already had your moments of vindication and schadenfreude - why are you still posting here. ?
“ who proclaims that the cold unit trolls are being cruelly treated”
As ever, it is you who proclaims without fully understanding the other person’s point of view. Any perceived troll can effortlessly be filtered. Their opinions have zero effect on the share price so why indulge them with a pointless offensive response?
Many LTIs are genuinely concerned by zero communication from Synairgen since last September. It is the company’s total disregard of LTIs in particular that is inducing “doom and gloom”, nothing else! Their supporters were proclaiming “won’t be long now” in early 2023. There is no evidence to support any progress since then. By progress, I mean anything from Synairgen that had a positive effect on its share price.
GLALTIs
Oh dear
The daily threads of the ultimate tangential summariser, supported by the conductor of the orchestra of gloom and doubt, who now proclaims the cold unit trolls are being cruelly treated.
What a sad place this board has become.
News is coming one way or another, but beware this board because it’s full of sharks and not all of them have obvious fins.
Sakura - you are a troll, plain and simple.
You have no interest or belief in Synairgen’s drug but still come here to “warn others” of “scientific misinformation” on a stock that is down 90% odd. You talk about mental health? Yes, coming here telling long suffering holders who are down heavily that Synairgen will likely be insolvent in a few years is very helpful.
You acknowledged that your views are unlikely to be well received. If you can’t handle the responses, clear off.
The accusations being put forward against contributors to a niche investor forum are pointless quibbles at best.
None of this dialogue will ever influence shareholders’ sentiment, so why bother to state it?
I read each contribution at face value initially. Should a series of comments from an individual strike me as being nonsense, then I have the option to filter the author. To date, very few contributors have fallen in that category since the migrations of less than helpful individuals to the advfn board some time ago.
The major issue regarding Synairgen, as I see it is the company’s perceived inaction over twenty six months. We have read about several successive incarnations of “forthcoming trials”, dialogues with significant partners, and appointments and departures of pointless major staff.
It is the company’s leadership that should be under major scrutiny. They are rewarding themselves with high salaries, and have produced nothing concrete, above speculation that is, to date in over two years.
Should we still be in the position where we are hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst regarding P2 trialling - due to having no idea whatsoever about the progress, if any, that has been achieved over the last seven months or so?
The company’s CEO has hardly raised his head above the parapet for more than two years! Is he still at the helm? If so it would be good to receive an update from him.
Rant over!
Should we receive promising news of the aforementioned P2 trials in the near future, I will be more than happy to apologise to this forum for sharing these grim thoughts. However, my view of the inappropriate way that Synairgen has disregarded its investors, LTIs in particular, will remain, whatever the future may bring.

Pandemic experts express concern over avian influenza spread to humans. Dr Jeremy Farrar, Chief Scientist at the WHO, said that the virus has an extremely high mortality rate among humans already infected with it. Underlines critical need for vaccines, therapeutics, diagnostics.

How has it been proven that I am a liar? I was at Cambridge dept of clinical medicine 86-87; Salisbury 87-89; ILRAD 89-92 (Nairobi); SKB/ GSK 93 - 99; Cambridge again 2000-2007…
What in your wildest imagination makes you assert this is not true. I use social media very little but hear on the radio that this sort of thing goes on and it impacts people’s mental health.Unpleasant people making unfounded allegations.
I make no complaint to those who think I am wrong but I find it unnecessarily unpleasant that people should hide behind a forum like this to insult and make false allegations
Medication time Fruits
You're making yourself look silly now Doc.Dan. You really want to trade what little credibility you have left defending the Walter Mitty characters on here...? Be my guest. Most investors aren't that stupid.
Sakura7 has been proven to be: (a) a liar about their professional experience and (b) correct about the outcome of P3.
For what it's worth, I suspect it is another damaged poster with access to a captive audience.
Also, the poster behind the Manifesto account is not a woman. No woman types "tee hee hee", etc.
It closely resembles Mrs Doubtfire and "Got to sign off now to get my fella's tea ready - he'll be in soon".
Fruits - it is outrageous libel to say I am lying about working with David Tyrrell. He was a wonderful and kind mentor . Why would you say such a thing?
Fair enough Jint - I wasn't defending S7's entire posting history particularly and might have referenced that thread maybe - but I was simply addressing the ludicrous idea proposed by Fruits that S7 is some kind of paid fifth columnist. Or that she appears just before positive news ( I mean - what positive news have we had ? ) Fruits has accused half of us as being agent provocateurs at one time or another and there's really only evidence of a few characters - the most prominent being Andybe4 - that fit this narrative.
God knows who or what Sakura 7 is.
