".....the Company is undertaking a third-party review of the Cononish mine plan for the next twelve months."
WHAT?? The review will take twelve months to complete and at consultant rates?
Is that a misprint or am I missing something?
An improvement, though not out of the woods yet.
BP, you forgot to add.. also the profit from investing in stock that would have paid dividends and increased in value. An enjoyable payoff, not the pain of this.
He did it with a certain 'style' but everyone should remember that what tb told us accompanied the drop over the years from £7.00 (taking consolidation into account) to Friday's 17p to sell .
Plus the massive dilution.
'Comedy Classic from 2015:'' or is it comedy gold?. TB, where are you? tell us something.
Comedy Classic from 2015:

It looks like getting going on the second vein was a complete falsehood.
Will the company ever be able to hold a face-to-face shareholder meeting ever again?
Normal service on the board is one thing but normal service from the company is completely unacceptable. There won't be a Scotgold if they don't turn the ship around quickly.
"A good idea stays a good idea."
The fight will garner massive publicity worldwide and we could benefit from that. The mentality of those who have commented is difficult to comprehend. We produce something very similar to what the winner WILL get. We absolutely should make the most of the opportunity that affords.
(Ironically enough I'm against the fight taking place! If your life is in danger or your country is being invaded, then possibly, but to step into a ring with the sole intention of battering someone until they are incapable of continuing seems insane to me.)
Oh well, over the years we've had Canonbie;s canal, Yayay's tales of South Worcestershire and Andrews OCD, so why not BP's Musk v Zuckerberg contest. The next RNS will thankfully end this thread. Then normal service will be resumed with everyone back to bickering about SGZ.
GLA, R.
Yawn.
That the company "have made a total **** of the operation for a number of years" is surely beyond debate. A catastrophic failure for 12 years. If criminality was involved let the dice fall where they may.
"...and there is no gold to give away" That's just silly. I've never visited the mine (lol) but surely we can rustle up enough gold for a medal! Production cost, engraving, a tartan ribbon, postage and some exchanges with the (lying) media.
Other companies WILL manage to benefit from Musk v Zuckberg and we quite literally are in the gold medal position. It's the kind of brave gesture that these guys would have taken to build their businesses.
You calling it ridiculous is neither here nor there. x
..
Anyway, we must be close to Q2 results. It's nearly a year since the good and very positive RNS. lol
I wonder what MM saw as worthwhile investing in a few months ago. Will the July RNS reveal all? Do we have a future?
Did the company call in the services of a pest controller?? This board's twitter overseer's mole seems to have gone remarkably quiet.
its a daft marketing ploy that offers no return positive return to the company . it will be called out for being a marketing ploy by a company trying draw attention away from the fact they have made a total **** of the operation for a number of years. that and there is no gold to give away should pretty much end this completely ridiculous thread. is this what its come to? fml .
Musk v Zuckerberg
Maybe they do but that's not a good reason for the company not to do it either.
What will the winner likely get hung around his neck? A gold medal. Agreed so far?
It is a brilliant idea for that medal to be a 100% pure Scottish gold medal, donated by Scotgold.
Maybe those on this BB have empathy for you.
HAND, R.
Well, you'd better away and change your nappy.
There hasn't been a single post yet explaining why Scotgold, for the production cost of what they are already producing, donating a pure Scottish gold medal to the winner of the Musk v Zuckerberg fight is a bad idea.
Not one.
BP, so now you have 'entrepreneurial genius'? PMSL, LoL!
Musk v Zuckerberg
There would almost certainly be gain for Scotgold but not through telling people that they're on to a winner here Rodney, or that it represents an investment opportunity: not at all.
The winner WILL get something. Why can't we be first for once and donate what the winner will have hung around his neck?
Any interest in the company is a byproduct of our donation. The gold medal is the story - not the investment opportunity the company might represent. (lol)
You call it a shameless marketing ploy. I rather think billionaires would recognise it for what it is: entrepreneurial genius.
A 100% pure Scottish gold medal to the winner.

'' That's it in its entirety. No pump, no dump, no approval or backing sought......nothing.'' Why would SG do this if there was no gain for them. They could have given one to King Charles today at his Scottish coronation as well. SG cannot afford it and it would be seen as a shameless marketing ploy. The media would call it for what it was and do more harm than good. I am not being obtuse nor do I wish to fall out with you,it is merely my opinion.
Musk v Zuckerberg
bbb- you are looking for difficulties and complexities but there aren't any.
One more time: the idea does not involve asking either of the two guys for anything! Are you being deliberately obtuse?
Scotogld to donate a pure Scottish gold medal to the winner.
That's it in its entirety. No pump, no dump, no approval or backing sought......nothing.
Simply a donation of one of our (unique 100% pure Scottish gold) products to the winner.
BP,you harp on at TB's marketing of Scotgold over the years and now you are doing the same. Pump and dump on a grand scale. If Cononish does not make it after all these years it deserves to fail. I personally the 2 guys mentioned would have anything to do with it.
Musk v Zuckerberg. A pure Scottish gold medal to the winner!
Twitter has picked up on the idea. This goes viral and it's anyone's guess how high the share price goes.
https://twitter.com/insighttraderhq/status/1676330454918524928?s=42&t=08fuZUaKq_w2bM6Pi4TBvw
If the company actually gets of its backside and does it then the sky is the limit.
Scotgold management - sharp business antennae have picked up the idea. What have you done with it? Were you focusing on having equity for trans people working in the company instead? Or running HR Karen's courses on how men engaged in labouring underground should behave differently?
For the production cost of gold you are already producing you can redeem yourselves.
Troj, no germanium to speak of, but a fair bit of Tellurium:

Baz, gold not a by-product, but this year, perhaps a non-product?
Regards all, R.
''rings a bell germanium, doesnt some of our ore body, contain that as a bi product?. Naw, oor by product is a wee drop gold.

rings a bell germanium, doesnt some of our ore body, contain that as a bi product?
Musk v Zuckerberg
I'm not sure what you are talking about and it makes no difference anyway.
Shareholders have endured 12 years of miserable, miserable failure. Long periods of share-price stagnation interrupted only by cataclysmic falls.
My idea gives the company a unique opportunity to secure investment on a scale previously undreamed of:
Scotgold donates a Scotgold, 100% pure Scottish gold medal to the winner.
Work smarter, not harder.
Don't let this opportunity pass us by, Scotgold.
