Dags,
Is ctag gone completely now? I don’t see an lse BB…under ‘ctag’ at least.
Amit is some operator, AP at vast is another one 🙄
Longlad. i think you said you were in cloudtag. now amit is the lowest of the low when it comes to AIM directer. yep. AIM is crap. that is why i no longer invest in it apart from seed. AIM is only any good for quicky getting in and out but most peeps lose. however in the case of seed it is better. less chance of going bust , paying special dividend and a boss that finally has woken up and doing the right thing so far. but early days as the last lot of leap money was in april which triggered the special dividend. so the 4.5 million is our money and we shall see.
Longlad. there was plenty on here a while back that thought a special dividend and buy back would not happen. but it did. so both shareholders got cash and the company. you even said yourself a while back ed would nothing for shareholders benefit. but the special dividend cash money is in your bank account. so all ed has to do is keep it up. no slip ups. no nonsense investing in crap. no mates rates. etc. we shall see anyway but the fact is that 4.5 million is shareholders money and he is one himself.
Dags
‘..not one penny should be put in dire companies where they can end up a big fat zero and no way of getting shareholders money out. that happened with the likes of factom etc. so it should not be open for debate. ‘
Shareholders don’t have a say, never mind debate….it’s AIM, the class of director who fills these posts is subprime. These people don’t get their positions on merit (eg look at ed, he heads up a fund that constantly looses fortunes, so he is useless but still gets the job - why?!)
Anyhow let’s see what ed comes up with, he is probably on his summer holidays now, so someone else must check the P.O. Box every other month in his absence
I think he has enough money for 2 brand new investments/ new secter and a 2nd special dividend. this gives him 2 chances of getting it right and more cash banked for shareholders. it also would send the share price up until ex- dividend date. so a no brainer. if he uses the money for current portfolio that would be terrible . and the fact is that 4 plus million is our money. it is shareholders money. he has already done the right thing with special dividend and buy-back with some of it. that needs to continue. not one penny should be put in dire companies where they can end up a big fat zero and no way of getting shareholders money out. that happened with the likes of factom etc. so it should not be open for debate. 2 brand new investments where he can cut a loss if need to be and a 2nd special dividend or wind the company down and call it a day.
I certainly would not complain about another dividend although I was disappointed our esteemed ceo has not extended the share buyback.
Still no word on new investment what is he playing at? Although the thought seems to send alot of people reaching for the sell button.
Be great if he has seen the light and is in fact winding this down.he could still leave leave with an ounce of credibility. I would take 4p and would be much wiser in future.
Morning longlad. the right move is that but is it reality. the longer ed goes without making an investment the more chance of that to happen . but right now i think most investers would settle for another special dividend as it is getting money back this year. the future is an open book so to speak. and with seed cash is king because investing is not as you say.
Morning dagenham,
The right move would be for the fund to be wound down with cash distributed to shareholders.
Consider how badly the bod here have performed in a field where they are meant to be experts….just imagine how they’ll fare investing in fields where they know little to nothing…..sends a shiver down the spine.
Ed, wrap seed up, return the loot. You will be able top walk away looking (to those that don't dig deep enough!) good, and did the right thing.
Can you imagine them handing over 4 million to an amit out of cloudtag with no way of stopping the rot. the 4 million would be gone. no benefit to shareholders at all. just handed over to mates with a bit of charisma who only look after themselves. now can you imagine a 2nd dividend payment to shareholders and and aproper investment out of the 4 million. the difference is massive. the latter provides shareholders with more cash banked and a solid investment. the other option is 4 million lost. it is just a no brainer in my book.
Mat. big day today over at cloudtag. the company that makes seed look great. amit is supposed to send out notifications to a few in fairytale land. tragic fits that chat board.
Fatman. the thing is with investing you have to be good at it, timing right and be able to cut a loss if needed and get out of bad situations. to blow 4 million on investments would be terrible and past history is not good. my post was half/half. some for new investment and some for 2nd special dividend. for long termers like you with high average this is a no brainer. you get a 2nd tranche of cash back. even if the share price does not get to your average your getting ready cash twice in your bank account. as for winding down we know that is unlikely. it may be the best option but no good if it never happens.
Whilst I would not complain dags, the fact remains we are meant to be an investment fund so we need the money for investments .
Whilst Eds record is let's be polite and say patchy at best.
As mat Said last week ,it is hard to see where we can go from here and it wouldn't suprise him if Ed was considering winding this "investments fund "down.providing he returned all proceeds over to investors I think it is a great idea .
Also probably why it won't happen!
That 4.5 million left or so is shareholders money. it should not need to be spelt out. it is shareholders money and ed is a shareholder himself. all of it should be spent on shareholders so a 2nd special dividend is a no brainer.
So what is going on. so up to 4 million should be spent on new investment which needs to be new secter, another special dividend and another buy- back way before this year is out. money left over can pay wages for the remainder of the year. and then it should be performance related pay. none of this nonsense spending money on the current portfolio full of mates companies. and any money he can get at should be taken from this lot. if his mates are so interested[ not] maybe they could buy shares in seed itself. of course not. so ed more dividend, brand new investment with nothing to do with mates and buy back in the coming weeks/ months. in reality for me this is just pin money as i continue to make money from crypto american stocks. nevertheless i still have shares here so i am entitled to my opinion. my special dividend cash i have just left as cash. one more thing. the special dividend news did take seed to 3p. so a new investment with another special dividend should take the share price up. so ed. do not make any mistakes.
Someone's been on the bong
...based on today's trades.
Anyone got any insight?
Winding this fund up and giving the proceeds bk to us shareholders wouldn't be such
a bad idea mat.but I carnt see Ed doing that until him and his boys have ran some of that 4mil down
on wages.he will probably waste 1.5mil on some friends venture.i imagine most of us would snatch eds hand off now for 4p a share.
I cannot see any positive sp action here for a long while now.
Barwick the fund is dead. It's been dead since Leap Sale. There is no opportunity to buy because the fund doesnt know what it is. It cant focus on Cannabis anymore because that industry is so full of potholes that no sane person would invest into it now.
He's likely watching to see Clean food group grow up and crossing his fingers that Europe doesn't ban chemically generated oils in the mean time for consumption.
To me it looks like its in process of wind down .
Its a pity the buyback has stopped as nothing but what looks like sells last few days, what's this now over a year and no new investments, what's going on Ed
Good pointer samval. Here’s to another resolution in spetemberish for the next slice of 10%. And the next divi too.
Have a look at their one and only product reviewed on youtube. Multi million dollar con
I think it would of been round round 3 Samval as don't forget it was extended in Feb but no big deal, as for Alfredo he must be laying low lol, hopefully Seed can find a gem to put some money into, GLA
After a little research it seems part of the reason that they may not be doing another buyback is there's a little more regulatory process to go through. 10% of the shares in issue over 12 months would be the amount that is allowed within the market abuse regulation. Anything above that and they've got to get some permission, for sure from the shareholders but also potentially from other bodies.... I don't believe that would prove much of an issue, though I'd be happy to hear anybody else's thoughts on this.
Looking on I'm disappointed they've not gone buyback round 2. Deserved drop today.
Barring Avextra the whole portfolio isn't inspiring. Juv hasn't provided anything for a long time, CFG is too early days to place too much faith in. LGP is too small to matter much anymore. Inveniam feels the same, plus they aren't really adding to their assets under management anymore.
It is a buyer's market still though, £4m hopefully buys Seed a lot. Think the fence gets a few more sitters while we wait to hear what comes next. Alfredo being on the board now at least gives the hope that he manages to help seed find the next Avextra.
Took a small position, showing as a sell though ;/
