tipped SEA last week - no-one's taking them up on it. This share will wake up in July when the special divi gets airplay. Wish I had some more cash to put in, it's ridden the market storm of the last 3 weeks very well. When it pays the 10p special, will the shares go down 10p - I suppose they will but the company is worth more than this. Blow wind, whip this sea up.
PVR - steadily rising (80%) LOGP steadily falling(except today) (15%) SEA calm, no movement (5%) Percentages in Barryroe
Should see 30p today
Well - Just hope this maintains until July for the AGM
Providence states: MODELLING CONFIRMS THE BASAL HYDROCARBON BEARING SANDSTONE PACKAGE IS DIRECTLY MAPPABLE FROM SEISMIC DATA · SEISMIC DATA REVIEW INDICATES THE RESERVOIR IS WIDELY DEVELOPED IN THE BARRYROE AREA Providence Up (80%) Lansdowne Up (20%) SEA 25% of Lansdowne, i.e. 5% Unmoved, calm
SEAs bit of LOGP is worth 11million at LOGP current value (Its actually worth on a risked basis a hell of a lot more) SEA has cash iro 27million NAV 56p per share - And thats discounting everything about the company, including the ££ in the share premium account and the true value of LOGP's assets BTW LOGP and SEA are still essentially the same company - Bar the paperwork
Thanks. I checked todays' RNS and first page states "NAV is £ 27.6 million". Shares in issue are 69.11 million so divide the two and you get 39.94p!! Thought I was close to actual figure. Still agree with other posters that the NAV has potential to increase but you can only go on actual figures can't you? So 33% upside in share price then minimum?
SEA said their net assets were £27.6 million on the 31 Dec 11 which is roughtly 40p per share. We can only go by the companies own figures so it would appear that KNIGELK is right.
NAV is higher than that bud Have a check how much in the the Share premium account - This is not your normal Ex DIVI payment as the NAV is hardly factored into the SP How much is 5% of Barryroe worth!!! P.s. share premium account stands at around 79million!
I'll check results and come back.. thanks
The majority of times a share goes ex-dividend it falls to take into account the due payment so SEA will fall prob 7-8p going ex-div imo. NAV is about 40p (which will fall once ex-div) and earnings will be lower next year as they included the sale in this financial year. However I agree there is upside and patience shareholders s/b rewarded with further dividend payts and corporate activity.
My thoughts are a steady rise to 40p. Plenty of people would not mind 10p a share for holding them a month or so plus the sp should not drop when it is paid as I think its already in the sp.
SeaEnergy reports improved performance for the year to end of December 2011 with profit for the year of £25.3 million (2010: loss of £5.7 million) and earnings per share of 37.08 pence (2010: loss per share 7.65 pence). Disposal of the Company's interest in SeaEnergy Renewables Limited (SERL) in June 2011 resulted in gain of £32.8 million. Net assets at 31 December 2011 stood at £27.6 million (2010: £1.3 million)with a cash position at the end of 2011 of £21.9 million (2010: £0.1 million). A proposed return of value to shareholders of 10 pence per share (2010: nil) equating to £6.9 million. ... still waiting for the new news. I agree there are some good things about this company, which is why I have invested in them. My point was the RNS had little or nothing new. The earnings point (PE of 1) is not sustainable - it relates to a one-off (but very good) transaction.
Punts are all part of the game with share dealing, some you win/loss...... Perhaps choose your posts with more QUESTIONS than conclusion or ask for others opinions ....going forward.....ATB
Otherwise how the heck can you/or anyone invest any of one's hard cash/money into shares etc etc.....with AIM.... Time for a Latte.....lol
hands up, I am guilty of no research here but I did read the RNS quickly on Barclays, hence went for a punt. Took my time before going into DQE, still just punt money but that was all I could afford at time. Hope I'm not offending my jumping on band wagon a little. Spend all day on road at work, cuts down my ability to research. ATB
Have you noticed that many posters lately, are NOT doing any research anymore,or more importantly, not even reading or understanding the RNS......?
Good morning. Conundrum, DQE or SEA? Your thoughts please. ATB
Now you will see fella, that you can't buy any shares atm,mm deciding where to go with this perhaps.......?
Only bought 1558, now quoting 31.50p (don't have enough funds to get a quote for larger volume)
OK, so tell me the "new" parts. We knew about the profit from SERL; we knew about the 10p distribution; we knew about the cash in bank; we knew about the LOGP stake and likely disposal over time; we knew the BOD were considering new services ventures (but no details).
