I have been investor for many years even when named Allen Plc which was then under John Brown . Until he left the board . Speedy made its money from buying "good small plant tools and hiring them out whist using them from there own building projects. The change in power after John retired really changed the direction and bought HSS depots and risked the future of Speedy. And it's share holders .Under MrC A plant. AHT was a very good buy at 2p share although been through big changes over years. Try LOND mining will have good profits out that 3/4 months. Speedy still fishing to recover but trying the heavy plant game crazy. Long term if they stick to what there good at and invest in tools were profit sits.SDY long term
?
Can all the negative posters on here please give us the benefit of there wisdom and tell us what shares we should be investing in??? We will see how they compare to speedy then!!!
Don't thing this ones for speedy ! Only a rough ride with lots ups and downs ? Heavy plant what are thinking ? Anyway it was like taking sand to the Arabs !! Mr C gone and so was the money ? Wish people well but growth in this company will be slow with lots twists and turns. With out the fraud M r C should never headed company. Caused enough pain and at least the fraud was nt to bad to recover without going back to share holders again !!!! Good luck grinders
Many thanks------------PML :-)))
I did say a while back that they were doing deals involving kit they don't run and as Cincinnati says they are playing with large plant...and when I say playing I do mean playing.....if they want to supply that sort of kit in any volume they will need to spend a lot of money....oh and before you say it Macaroo I will close the door on my way out! GLA
on our way to 80+
9.5 Million------Someone getting shot of about 1% of speedy shares think you will see around about the same today Not to worry. I don't think their plan worked out, Then back on our to 80+ for xmas. CHRIA think you have well and truly missed the boat this time:-)))
MY MY How wrong can you be.this is not the only stock i hold, Yes it maybe my main share as far as value and i do not work for sas? I have retired from work and i am enjoying dabling in stocks and shares and playing golf, And as fo Refinancing-------all they are doing is rolling over their credit and getting a better deal on paying back what they borrow, And as for you i think you could be (was it some thing like red7) and as far as i am concerned you can get your coat and shut the door on the way out :-)))---------------OH by the way i see you post a lot? Good morning all:-))
Yawn!!!
Refinancing means they will fall.! Maccaroo, let me guess..! You work for SAS and these are the only stocks you have in your portfolio..! Speedy will come good but any dreams of 80 plus in 2014, NO..! Speedy are trying to enter the market with large plant, they should stick at what they know, small tools, with the light plant. Supply agreements with big nationals with very little in the way of return (Profit) is not good business practice. They will be at the low sixties soon and could even hit the high fifties. Look at other companies that pay dividends, eggs all in one basket son.! ! Oops!!!!!!
Na Chria, We keeping the faith here, you av missed the boat!!! I Hope, or me be eating them words!!!
Lordy, that is some big sales. £4.42m + 2 others just under £1m each. Maybe I did do the right thing and sell up 10 days ago. Will we see the price drop to low 60's ready for me to re-enter?
Phew!!! That is some big sells, do they know something we don't?
should read-----------------have to push
Looks like we will all have push hard this week for 70p+
Good morning all :-))
"We are delighted to have concluded this refinancing ahead of schedule and on improved terms reflecting our bankers' confidence in the business. Alongside our ongoing focus on cash generation, the new facility will provide us with the flexibility to support our strategy for growth." All sounding good...
How is the plant hire game going?
I am new to this, my experience is within Construction Plant Hire, I have worked in this industry for over 20 years. I have worked for Speedy Hire in the late 1990's. I am interested in buying shares in Speedy Hire, how do I go about buying shares, through LSE.
And upwards
Good morning all :-))
nice finish for the day :-))
Just had a small top up?
