In part this relates to the trading results which had already been published this time last year. These should be out soon and I expect these to be favourable including on cost savings. If so, these will be the main propellant for a rise in the SP.
Just to add, if all goes ahead with the company’s plans the SP will not trade in 1p to 5p range till the equity raise in June/July 2024 if I recall correctly.
Therefore, short term the SP will continue to rise till then. Personally looking at 20p. IMHO.
Agree with your conclusion we have a background buyer. I did mention this earlier in the week.
I may have been incorrect of my analysis of the 100k clips yesterday, they could be a mix of buys and sells hence why the SP did not tank as some on this board had hoped for.
Maybe a bit premature or optimistic but there could be a BID on the table coming soon. IMHO.
Morning all,
I have been scratching my head the last couple of days. The rise in the share since the proposed delisting and equity raise announcement initially made zero sense to me.
My initial thoughts were as follows:
1) it is short positions being closed out. However, my thoughts were these would have been closed rather quickly and would not result in a steady linear share rise of the last few days. I think that can be ruled out, unless someone can provide evidence to the contrary?
2) it is new entrants gambling. This initially seems plausible, with the share price tanking and inexperienced people having a wild punt. However, again, the steady linear increase in share price does not reflect that. I would've expected more volatility to support this theory.
3) The business is undervalued. This again would make sense. However, with the rns announcement stating the equity raise offers at either 1 or 5p, and given all known information about the company, this just doesn't make sense. Why is the market price not within these ranges? If someone has a clear logical reason I would love to hear it.
4) My conclusion. If the above are all ruled out, then there can only be one explanation I can think of that would support the rise above the stated equity raise price; there is a buyer building a stake. What evidence supports this? I have looked at the transactional data over the last few days since the rns and what really stood out was the vast number of regular large purchases of 50k, 100, 200k share purchases.
Can anyone disprove the above or provide other factors which may not be considered?
Thanks.
We absorbed about 1m sells in 100k clips this morning and still finished blue. By the looks of it Seller is done now.
Appetite is strong and soon as we dipped below 9p it was bought back up 💪
I am pleased with where we closed today and pleased I have not panic sold any of my holding. Next week - onwards and upwards. The level of buys show that many still believe this has legs.
Good finish considering the Iran/Israel affairs.
I am obviously pleased that its been a blue day and high volume and ended will a rally, so for those of us who have been invested since the bid news broke, well done for holding. For the new users in the room that just bemoan and post negative comments and keep posting doom and gloom, why are you here ? You add absolutely zero to the investment discussions and you are just tedious and boring with your postings. If you want to have these sorts of conversations all day long maybe you need help ! You must be the life and soul of every party, I feel sorry for your partners. Born losers with only a negative outlook on life. What a joy you are to be with, NOT.
Nice chunky buy before close and UT, bodes well for Monday.
See you all then for another blue day ;)
All I know is I could sell a lot of shares and a good price relative to the current bid. Happy not to sell these atm. Good luck all
Valid point but this is still months away from delisting and there is money to be made in the meantime from a share with low Mcap and shares in issue.
TheRiflemans - in short, with quite a lot of difficulty, as it would be 'over the counter' given that the formal platform for buying and selling will no longer exist. That said, you are free to sell your shares in the company to any willing buyer at any time; if you can find one. Since SDRY would no longer trade on the stock exchange, liquidity would be very significantly reduced. You may therefore find yourself limited to selling your shares to any major shareholders in Superdry, or any other investors who may be interested in holding unlisted shares in the company.
So, you 'can' still sell, but it is quite a bit more challenging than just the click of a button, that you currently enjoy at this 'listed' point in time (your share ownership rights remain unchanged too until you sell). 'Most' holders (PI's) however, tend to exit before a de-list, for the above key reasons; they just don't want the additional hassle. . . Hope that helps.
Medjed - it should be around 5p based on the information the market has. What I also went on to say was maybe some participants have other information which is pushing the price up.
Still some large buy orders in the book so maybe not
Not really, it’s NT to buy at the moment :)
Looks a lot like the cat just had its last bounce. . . 🤣🤣
When its delisted?
Exactly that. Because in all the time this discussion about the future of the business has been going on, precisely zero individuals or institutions have stated an interest in underwriting an offer at any price.
His offer is the only one on the table, and therefore that’s the only price.
This share will slump this afternoon. Personally I feel it May have a pump next week for good luck. Pls don’t get caught up in all this b/s and DYOR .It’s not going anywhere except getting de listed then it’s game over ..so time your outs correctly GL all! No one has come forward except the man himself and that’s solely emotional attachment.. which doesn’t necessarily equate to a genuine rise in SP…I may be wrong..lol
Re PRICK 123, ignore his pumping , he’s been doing that for years .Total W⚓️ 🔔End
Very similar pattern to the two days prior ! Could be a good rise coming up above ten
No reason, this will be nearer 15p based on market uptake atm
Why should it be 5p? Because JD said so?
That’s just an expression of his wish to buy it for cheap that’s not the market’s valuation.
It should. But there are a lot of compulsive gamblers and thick people out there.
Share price should be around 5p
Unless there are buyers appearing on the horizon in which case would there not be an RNS showing a buyer building a stake.
