Thank you Teddy, cheap shares and a dividend, Xmas come early for me. We are lucky to be getting these prices to be honest Teddy, dipping below 100, will be practically free money lol.
It also states that 2022 Half Year Results will be published on 26th July. Have we not already had these on 14th July? Or is the Half-Year 2022 Trading Update different from 2022 Half-Year Results?
Yes it is definitely correct. I have checked the website. So as long as you are in on the 18th at close of play you will qualify for the dividend payment. I am guessing there should be an RNS confirming the exact amount
19 August 2022 - Record date – 2022 Interim Dividend
18 August 2022 - Ex-dividend date – 2022 Interim Dividend
It has tried to dip below 100p but has not managed it! I can only see this going up now to be honest especially if there is a dividend date set for 18/08
@PI: If you hold shares in Sabre now you will qualify for the dividend. In fact you could buy them at 4:29pm on the 17th and still qualify, as long as you are a holder when the bell hits 4:30 on the 17th you are entitled to the dividend. The payment date will be September. Watching this closely, but looks as if it won’t dip below 100p, seems to be holding steady. GLA.
Thank you AJones, I did suspect there was a special dividend payment around that time, like last year. Unfortunately, I don’t think I qualify, as bought in around a week ago. Never mind, at least I have loads and loads of cheap shares. :-)
I wonder what date you have to be in to get that
@poorinvestor - I have logged into me Barclays shares portal just now and a new tab has appeared under my investment for Sabre which states "(Ex Div: 18/08/22)"
Have you seen the buys and sells on here. Some weird stuff going on. Or has any on got an explanation
19-Jul-22 16:33:05 105.30308 100,000 Sell* 113.00 102.00 105.30k - That is showing as a sell? at 105.30? It must be a buy?
Thank you Ajones.
If they are giving 1/3 dividend pay out.
They could do a 2/3 shares buy back while the price is low.
Look at Direct Line! They were only 20% down with similar news to Sabre! 50% was so overdone in my opinion! Direct Line have manage to pull back 5% from the year low! I can see Sabre getting to 150p very soon!
buyers coming in - handsome dividend payer, buyers seeing value here imo
I don’t think £1.45 would be too unrealistic in the next couple of weeks. Given at where it was at 5 days ago
They have been for a few days now! So hopefully this should see movement in the coming days/weeks
The buys are a higher value than the sells it seems to me
It does baffle me when people are selling at these levels! There is no one making a profit!
All I can find is the below;
- Despite these developments we continue to expect to pay a dividend for 2022, albeit at a reduced level, before returning to more normal levels in 2023. The balance sheet remains strong with a solvency capital ratio comfortably above our preferred 140% to 160% range
- The Board expects to declare an interim dividend limited to one third of the profit after tax for the period
Email Investor relations they should be able to provide you with the information you need
I am not sure they have issued a payment date for this years dividend. If I remember correctly I did get a payment in June sometime but that would have been last years dividend.
Ajones, that is some brilliant averaging down, if you don’t mind me saying. Well done. Do you know whe the next dividend payment is?
I was an unlucky one that was in when it was around £2 luckily I never had a lot in it. I have managed to buy up more and currently my overall average is 111.77 which is still a bargain in my opinion!
I’m glad it got over sold, give’s poor investors a chance to buy some bargain shares. I have bought loads here. When is the next dividend payment? Does anyone know?
Net debt is low and they are still making money! I agree this has been overdone and we should get a bounce! GLA
