These have gone below par. Any comments anyone?
Hi all,
I k now this a bit off topic but tried to day trade today for the first time on halifax and fell foul of their negotiated button being at bottom of first page on mobile. All I was trying to do was go to the amend/cancel buttons I know come up from the desktop site, but the negotiated dealbuttom whilst scrolling the page. This goes straight to the deal being done rather than the normal cross platform of are you sure question that Microsoft, unix
, apple, amazonand every other site I know of asks you before committing pence and not the thousands of pounds we all do on these site's. Complained but hot a rather uncaring not a problem response. So asking those who do use Halifax and those that might. Do you think committing yourself to a financial decision should be the default of any financial institution please either complain yourselves or get back to me
it cost me thousands and may cost you if you don't take extreme care on your share dealing site.
ah the best from a disgruntled share investor

Will the Australian fires impact on our shares , are we involved in re-insurance over there?
I was in a bar, listening to some RSA employees from the nearby Dean Clough Mill offices discussing a planned big move by RSA to a town centre building that is currently being gutted and refurbished. The building is high profile and used to be the Local Authority Headquarters. During the conversations they were also talking about a likely takeover of RSA by Zurich and that some current/new board members were previously at Zurich.
Let's hope for a boost in the SP
Great way to end the holiday week
Credit where credit is due, Dividends where in bank acc first thing on payment date Friday, hopefully no dividend cut here Thou it seems to be the lastest fashion now in boardrooms
slightly better than hoped for and suitably boring
... you can have my shares for a tenner ... (another paper holder from many years ago......)
Strong performance Having experienced a challenging period in 2013 when it recorded a pre-tax loss, insurance company RSA (LSE: RSA) has delivered a strong recovery. Under a refreshed management team and with a new strategy it has been able to not only return to having a black bottom line, but has also delivered three consecutive years of double-digit earnings growth. In fact, in the last three years, its net profit has increased at an annualised rate of around 38%, which suggests that it has found a successful strategy. This has allowed it to raise dividends per share by 87% in the last two years, with further growth set to come. RSA is expected to report a rise in shareholder payouts of over 30% per annum in the next two financial years. Its capacity to pay a higher dividend is set to improve, with its earnings due to increase by 15% this year and by a further 6% next year. Even with its strong growth in shareholder payouts, it is still due to have a dividend coverage ratio of 1.6 next year. This suggests that its 5.1% forward dividend yield is highly sustainable over the long run.
No ur not
Sp be going south soon ,ex dividend soon ,abandoned ship ,if only wasn't that lazy to transfer from paper
ex dividend date 7th Sept pays 6:6p
Anyone know how much?
Yep! One of my better jinxings. It's now official, I simply do not understand modern markets - good half years, a real turnaround stock under sound leadership making the right decisions and a thumping increase in the interim divvi. What's not to like?. Can the 'market' see something I can't?
Not half bad these half year's results. Well done Mr H. Might as well jinx this straight off though - looking for 7 this week as a result then some more once the brokers get down to some re-rating work.Getting to be a good long term hold too with the divvi coming back.
Might be tempting me back -- poor dividend is the reason and chart looks well overheated now
Finally £6. Whatever next? I'm almost feeling optimistic again and that's dangerous.
At £5.50
Will push this back to the old £1.40 aka £7 or there abouts so I'm staying put for a while.
After years of holding RSA (since 1999) and the value going down and down things do seem to be healthier now and although I'll never get my money back even if they reach 6.50 one has to remember that they are still a take over target and the steady movement up could mean more than post brexit euphoria?
Offer ? What's the chances of it coming soon??? £6.00 plus ? Interesting...
Was on the earlier train but hopped off for a dump and hopped back on but I'll flush on the return journey
Apologies for board hopping but- The petition is going quite well; ~5150 signatures so far. Although it really needs a turbo boost. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/112044/sponsors/frRbCOsOLO6QqIN82UOX This petition was stalled in parliament since 12th Aug 15; finally green lit on 12th feb 2016. The FCA don't even reply on the matter, now is your chance to have your say. If you hate seeing buys reported as sells etc!!!!!! Has already been sent to Martin Lewis, Daily Mail, Moneyweek & Watchdog. My local MP supported this petition by writing to the petitions committee to help un-stall it. There’s 650 MP’s in Westminster, So have you written to your MP? 649 to go! If this petition doesn’t reach 10,000; then imo we might as well have not bothered as it will almost certainly be filed B1N; @ 10,000 the government should respond. We are currently getting approx. 100 new signatures a week, but need 3x that amount to reach the target with only 15 weeks to go. So – If you haven’t yet signed or indeed have but haven’t passed it on to others, then now’s the time to do so. If each person who has signed can get just one other person to sign then we will double the total immediately. I have posted to all aim listed gas n oilies, currently doing the footsy 100. But I can only do so much to push this. Really need you guys & gals to help. Thanks to all who have signed so far.
..... or you could catch an earlier train, perhaps, Buzle?
then alternate between £5 and just under £7 for a while
