Should we expect a decent rise on the Poland SMR news or was that already priced in?
At some point people will realise RR have 10-20 SMR's on the go, and go ohhhhhhh........................
Go ohhh.... I better sell 🤣
Confirmation from Poland will certainly boost share price..
I don't mean to p155 on the parade but this is only a "decision in principle" . If you read through the whole article you'll see Poland has also issued "decision in principle to other SMR suppliers. I have pasted:
Poland's Ministry of Climate and Environment issued a decision-in-principle in July last year on copper and silver producer KGHM Polska Miedź SA's plan to construct a NuScale VOYGR modular nuclear power plant with a capacity of 462 MWe consisting of six modules, each with a capacity of 77 MWe.
In December, the ministry issued decisions-in-principle to Orlen Synthos Green Energy for the construction of power plants based on GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy's BWRX-300 SMR at six locations. A total of 24 BWRX-300 reactors are planned at the sites.
The ministry has also issued decisions-in-principle for the construction of two large nuclear power plants: one for a 3750 MWe plant in Pomerania using Westinghouse's AP1000 technology, the other for a plant comprising two South Korean-supplied APR1400 reactors in the Patnów-Konin region.
We know other people will build SMR's, we are hoping RR will be able to do it better and keep closer to their budget, RR seems to be doing most of it from their own specs, your post seems to highlight companies using other companies designs, that sounds expensive to me.
Decision in principle. Looks like rather than going all in with one supplier most if not all countries are going to have a mix of suppliers and various sites. Distributed power makes sense as relying even more on an electric grid for basic energy supply across the board is going to require vast investment in the grid to balance the supply / demand. The sweet spot for wind has already been hit in many places and the struggle is to distribute the power at peak times and then fill the gaping hole in production when the wind stops, it is not a solution.
But they have decision in principle to other suppliers as well . For the millionth time it's not a done deal yet. Sure it's a positive sign but it's too early for a victory lap
We've cancelled your Birthday this year ETF.
What sounds expensive to you Sully?
Could you show me the costings for each design 😂.
No rush
Rolls-Royce offers £100,000 contract prize for nuclear reactor transport innovation
This company doesn’t waste money, and they offered this a few days ago, somethings happening
I may have miss interpreted but you posted 3, one wasn't for an SMR, this one said 'Orlen Synthos Green Energy for the construction of power plants based on GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy's BWRX-300 SMR', if it reads correct I would assume using someone else's Nuclear design costs money and a lot of cross communication.
When the actual contracts are handed out then we'll have the cake (please excuse the pun) Sully
🤣
That's not a costing sully that's an assumption 🤣.
Enough already, catch you later 👍
Of course it is an assumption, a very good one.
Not many company’s can make SMR’s
We will make one obviously one day
