It's gone ex-div today. Divi is 3.11% so net effect is RIO has dropped around 1.7% today.
I said to everyone only few weeks back what will happen here and that is exactly what is happening right now
This goes down all the way to at least 5000 and possibly lower. Will be a resistance around 5000 mark but will go down further I recon.
Longer term you can never go wrong with this company
It will push back up again when time is right.

I would have thought it pretty usual for companies to have trade indemnity and credit insurance in place.
Sorry typing error.
Evergrande in court 20th March 2023.
Hang Seng Index up 4% today on best increase in factory activity in a long time. RIO also up 4% this morning. I had a look at comparative charts for Hang Seng and RIO over 3 months, 6 months and a year and there appears to be a strong correlation. This does not apply over 5 years, however I am persuaded that RIO will track China's fortunes in the near term.
Good morning.
Maybe you should take a look at Evergrande & what is happening with them & the Chinese property market.
They are the largest property companie in China.
They are in default with their dept to some billions.
They are trying to restructure as they call it however their debtors aren't having any of it.
They are in court for a winding motion on 20th February 2023 .
Not 100% sure. However I think this would be called bankruptcy.

Dear all,
Lithium has been falling in price since November. What does it mean for #CTL, #Amaroq, #ALL, #Kodal, European Metals and all the other listed #Lithium producers and developers. Where will EV cars go, and will they undone by Hybrids? What will happen to demand? We think the presentation and Q&A could be really interesting and very useful. Tradingview had an incorrect final div number, they have updated it now.
185p is the final. The interim was about 221p the total for the year was 406p.
No idea where 372p come from.
Tradingview has their Div at £3.72!! Yet it's been cut to 185.35p.
Whoops I didn't see this!!

Back down to £47!
22-Feb-23 JP Morgan Cazenove Underweight - 5,380.00 New-coverage
22-Feb-23 Berenberg Bank Buy - 6,700.00 Reiteration
A large difference! Supply demand basics: demand in 47-50, supply in 60-63.
Last cycles it tended to hit 50-53 before bouncing back up to 60. Might be an opportunity to take this swing and snag the lovely dividend. Will take patience and luck though!
