So I guess why Global Blue have a 18% holding in RGP is to have access to our clean Ionic Liquid chitin extraction processes, and we need them to provide massive amounts of shells. And Global blue technology in self contained recirculating land based fish farms. I think this alongside a JV with 525 Solutions will be a perfect storm.
Few understand what chitin is much less what it does. That’s about to change on a national and global scale.
Chitin is the forgotten miracle by-product of the aquaculture industry. Today, for the most part and in spite of its intrinsic economic value, it is relegated to the waste dump when shrimp shells are tossed into the garbage.
Chitin is the building block of shrimp shells. It has unlimited, extremely vital uses thanks to its immeasurable characteristics. It’s biodegradable, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal, antioxidant, non-toxic and hypoallergenic. Quality chitin and its derivatives are in high demand in medical, bio-tech, agriculture, cosmetics, health care, textile, and industrial applications as well as by the food and beverage packaging industries.
It’s used in blood-stemming wound dressings, surgical arenas, water and air purification, precious-metal extraction, cosmetics, and food and dietary supplements. Its potential, once the supply of high quality chitin increases, includes delivery systems for tumor-killing drugs that avoid damaging healthy cells; replacement bone and organ building scaffolding; crop production improvement; alternative energy; and biodegradable plastic eliminating the nightmare of plastic bottles and grocery bags littering every water and landscape.
Shrimp cast off their shells during natural growth molting. Their shells are considered waste by commercial processors and frenzied participants in “peel and eat” feasts who have no idea they are throwing out the gold standard of natural polymers. Chitin and its derivatives’ worth ranges from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars per pound for the highest pharmaceutical grade. That is, only if you can extract it and turn it into usable form.
Funding the new extraction process Dr. Aberson will soon tackle, will open up the full potential of the “chitin economy.”
It’s an economy in its infant stages despite the fact that its current value is more than $ 60 billion dollars.
Dr. Aberson’s new challenge eliminates two hurdles keeping chitin from reaching its economic zenith. Chitin plants are literally forbidden in North America and Europe due to the harsh, toxic and polluting process employed. The end product from Asian countries with lax environmental standards is often of inconsistent quality. Further, the supply of raw materials – crustacean exoskeletons – is also sketchy.
Pairing a processing technology that is not only non-toxic but also employs a no-discharge recirculating system similar to that of the GBT aquaculture technology appears a perfect match. The raw material supply issue is also addressed as GBT can supply a constant source of quality shells.

Some very cleaver people on telegram looking into the vast possibilities of the RGP company
https://**************UnS9OelcA05bs6mD
Very very insightful.
The Future is Very Bright

Somebody of that magnitude joining the board as CEO, is news. He is highly connected and very wealthy.
I am sure he has a vision that will make todays SP look very small indeed.
6M MCAP and a lot of shares held by institutions, not a lot of free float share.
What do you make of the potential J with Jims company 525 Solutions
Have you seen this research document on this company.
It is very insightful and tell you why the recent changes have been made.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zsB2oJzBxfl3nU63oyzLKDw5cSFMexzGwGCjk7H7CLM/edit?usp=sharing
it went up very quickly, some said pump and dump, then started to go down but still some nice buys
i have a feeling we have not finished yet , the new director was a strange choice especially with the
row going on at petrel, i feel theres more to come.
Newbie to this share, but have great hopes for the advanced technology shown here. I am also very interested that you have a very clever New CEO who is a known winner.
I think I read somewhere he is worth $64 billion.
That got me very interested and led to a lot of research over the last few days, as to why he would get himself involved in such a small company.
Clearly he does not want it to remain smalll.
Also with Rodger stepping aside I think this will be a great JV coming up.
Good luck to all
...will be used to reverse a viable co into. Now riding for nothing. Back in the drawer!
Looks like another dive towards 1p. So much fuss about nothing!
at most of the trades yesterday lots under £10...for heavens sake, its just "Kids" messing around.....just because they can trade for free!
Nothing, i expect.
Its a tiny company, which was a "Shell" sometime back for many years. I suggested something "Was a Foot" a few months ago, when someone actually bought some shares! Nothing usually traded at all! Should have bought more at at 1p, I imagine it wont be long before it is again. Just hype here.
The share price triples in a week; the number of daily trades rises from virtually nothing to the several hundreds; volume ballooned to 16million one day .... and what is the over all reaction from this website? Zilch.
Usually I see with other companies any unexpected modest rises in comparison to that of RGP , then the Stock Exchange demands an explanation from the company. Nothing here. What is the criteria for such a declaration to be mandatory?
And apart from the loyal diehards following the company here, not a whimper generally from elsewhere. Just what has to happen to a share price to attract a growing following? It baffles me.
Number of transactions seems to be declining, wonder where we go from here?
All I am saying is don't hold your breath if you've made money great. Look I could be wrong but the time scale for anything meaningful to happen will not suit modern day traders, anyway that's the last from me as I have sold out and don't want to be accused of deramping to buy back cheaper...GLA
The production of chitin in the biosphere is estimated to be around 1000 billion tons per year.
Worldwide market for chitin derivatives (including chitosans) should reach 63 Billion USD by 2024.
How much does chitin cost?
Prices quoted range from $3.50 to $4.50 per pound for chitin and are $6.50 to $100 per pound for chitosan.
So 1 tonne of Chitin could fetch $7000 to $8000
We hold intellectual property that our customers require to create new markets and disrupt industries using chitin. Mari Signum is also positioned to drive innovation in the area of fiber production through electrospinning and 3-D printing of chitin-based products.
Outdated methods of extracting chitin from exoskeletons use highly toxic chemicals and unsustainable, Earth-damaging processes. Not ours: Green Chemistry elegantly extracts chitin molecules from shrimp shells with a pure, non-toxic solvent in a way that doesn’t hurt our planet.
Our chitin is derived from shrimp exoskeletons sourced from local shrimp processors, from whom we collect and repurpose shells that would otherwise be dumped into landfills. In addition, we are developing an environmentally sustainable aquaculture farm that will allow us to renewably and organically source chitin in the massive volumes required to serve our customers’ needs.
Check out the JV (PDF) they are likely to sign for the production of Chitin, and yeah they already own a supply chain company for the stuff. Tamraz added to board. Worth watching the AGM from 19 minutes in for more info (Youtube below).

But Tamraz is on board now so I don't see that happening this time, the bloke is worth 64 Billion dollars
NO. Uranium from shellfish!
