Are we really trying to use a prediction made by a certain poster, 13! Yes 13 years ago about a different company as some sort of guidance as to PRD's future?
Come on then GRH you called it right in 2011... so tell us exactly what is going to happen to PRD? It's all very well leaning on a prediction a decade ago.
Predictions of the outcomes of drills!
Predictions with regards to potential resource numbers and value of them!
This has all been stated several times over and I certainly do not need this re stated!
The company has produced a lot of information that along the way has backed this up!
Nobody can predict how or when this is going to down when there are still risks beyond anyone’s control!
This is not Grahams project, it is Paul’s, Lonny’s and the companies which include its shareholders!
I read this board now and again and it’s full of some really good posters who post when it’s relevant. GRH, KeithOz, SeaBright etc. They have clear demonstrable knowledge and some of them are not anonymous. Their opinion carries weight and I’ve never taken it to be anything other than that.
Others spend a lot of time making the same points again and again with a negative tone. I ask myself, why do they invest that time. My time, like most other peoples is valuable, so I wouldn’t unless I had a reason…. e.g. maybe wanting the SP to drop into the 7’s.
I’m not bothered by the drop in SP. The underlying proposition hasn’t changed so it’s all about the news when it comes. I work from Morocco a few months every year and have a bunch of European friends who have emigrated there. They all have the same challenges, one of those is that nothing ever gets done on time. It’s not uncommon for someone to agree to meet you for a business meeting and then not turn and not even tell you. Different culture.
Don't hold your breath acotty
As I'm sure you are aware of granite problem is delays cost money and with PRD having no revenue they can't really afford delays of months especially if they also want t and t up and running
I have worked in IT for over 25 years. Most IT projects finish late and over budget. Those are well defined pieces of work where the activities are well known, resources are available, and the budget has contingency. I worked for a large UK organisation in 2008 (approx. 12,000 staff) who underwent an IT transformation. They brought in a load of IT consultants to help with the transformation, and they struck a tone of how bad this organisation was. This sounded plausible at the time but when I went to work for some other organisations, I realised this was mostly rubbish and everyone has the same set of problems and challenges. I would encourage some personal reflection on this point to see if this sounds familiar or google it – DYOR 😊
This is exploration in Morocco with a small but capable team so riskier that IT projects. Delays are part and parcel of the game. I accept this as the risk/reward profile makes this very lucrative for me.
If the risk was too much for me, I would just sell up and move on. What I wouldn't do is continually post about the delays and strike a tone that rubbishes my investment while at the same time not talking about the positives.
Sometimes it feels like some posters went on safari to Jurassic Park and are now complaining that there are Dinosaurs there.
What's your point Granite are you saying their is a connection with delays costing money "finishing late over budget "
I don't care if as long as it is not costing me anything.
Thing is with PRD the running theme is always a delay and that's giot to reflect on management
@Porters - I'll address you're message as simply as I can just before I start work. It's difficult because it's already pretty simple but I don't want you to feel confused.
- In life delays can cost money. Not always though. In the case of Prd because of the fundamentals the potential reward is so good it doesn't worry me. I'm not greedy. An excellent return or a very good return is just semantics to me. They are both results! If we get either, the management will have my eternal gratitude.
- Your point of “Thing is with PRD the running theme is always a delay and that's giot to reflect on management” is an interesting one. I’ve worked in Morocco and it’s a tough gig and I don’t know the challenges that Prd have had to go through to make the progress they already have. It could be that their performance is pretty good but I don’t have the facts so I can’t comment. However, if you’re not happy with the ongoing performance of the management team then maybe you should sell any investment you have here. If you constantly come here to discuss the same performance issues, then you might want to reflect if that is more of a reflection on you rather than Prd management performance.
Have you worked in Trinidad aswell Granite? It was the same their when doing ccs eor or have you not been invested that long
@Porters - please see my point about your repetitive monologue of prd management performance. If you need some instructions on where to find the sell button let me know what investment platform you use and I'll write something out over lunch.
I do not need advice from you Granite rest assured. I've waited along time to see if gas is their I'll continue and continue to moan about the delays thanks.
